Horde: Orc for Hardiness (-20% stun duration) or Troll for Berserking. Alliance: Human for Will to Survive and Perception, or Dwarf for Stoneform. Human Hunter is new in Forever. Undead cannot be Hunter.

Q: Lone Wolf in Marksmanship or Survival?

Marksmanship. Blizzard's 30 September Hunter post puts Lone Wolf at 11 points in Marksmanship: 20% more damage while you have no active pet. Survival's line is Counterattack, Strider Kick and Lacerating Strikes.

Q: Can Undead be Hunter in PvP?

No. The published matrix has no Undead Hunter. Undead can be Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock or Warrior.

Blizzard published the Hunter kit on 30 September. Point spends stay provisional while the beta runs to 21 October.

Traps now work in combat on a 30-second cooldown, and Frost and Fire traps keep separate cooldowns, so Freezing Trap is a mid-fight peel, not only an opener. Disengage drops twice the threat, and Scorpid Sting cuts the target's chance to hit by 2%. The lower crit damage seen in beta PvP is a bug, not a nerf (Blizzard via Wowhead, 29 September).

Lone Wolf is an 11-point Marksmanship talent that gives 20% more damage while you have no pet. Survival leans melee, with Strider Kick at 21 points and Lacerating Strikes at 31. Pick 1 tree. Stay in it.

Beast Mastery is 3rd for PvP: a pet is a kill target. Milestone math: calculator.

Honor ranged and Rank 10 / Rank 13

PvP Hunter wants a fast bow, stun-cap and rank pieces. Week 1 blues fill gaps only.

How rank gear works (Blizzard, 7 October 2026). Honor buys a blue and an epic PvP set, and each epic upgrade needs an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Rank Points come from battlegrounds and PvP quests with a weekly cap, so the 14 ranks are a weekly climb: a tabard at Rank 1, a mount at Rank 11 and epic weapons at Rank 14. Since the 1 October beta build Honor prices are about 50% higher and the Honor cap is 25,000.

Week 1. Quest ranged for the 1st brackets. Early bows.

Rank weeks. Rank 10 week 7, Rank 13 week 9. Darkspear Islands, the new 15v15 battleground for levels 30 to 60 (4 capture points, a central flag, first to 2,000), plus the classic BGs. Rank 14 offer.

From 9 December. Raid bows only if they beat rank. Raid carries.
