Q: What is the best race for Warlock PvE in WoW Forever?

Troll and Orc on this board. Troll Berserking adds 10% casting speed for 10 seconds, and Orc Blood Fury adds 10% attack and spell power for 15 seconds. Undead, Gnome and Human sit in A. Skyborne cannot be Warlock. Since the 15 October notes, Blood Fury comes back every 3 minutes (was 2).

Q: Is Troll Warlock good for Forever PvE?

Troll Warlock is a new Forever combo. Berserking haste helps Affliction ticks. Orc Blood Fury is the other S spell-power pick.

Q: Affliction or Demonology for raids?

This page treats Affliction as the raid-dot tree. Demonology is the pet-tank tree for dungeons. Destruction is the PvP sibling.

Q: What professions should a PvE Warlock take?

Tailoring + Enchanting is Ultimate. Engineering is the PvP sibling pair.

Q: Can Skyborne be Warlock?

No on the published matrix. Skyborne classes skip Warlock. Pick Troll, Orc, Undead, Gnome or Human.

Q: Can a Warlock tank in WoW Forever?

The 7 October Warlock kit has no tank spec. Blizzard's written tank kits are Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior and Bear Druid. In dungeons and on the leveling route the Warlock's tank is the Voidwalker pet.

Q: Does Voidwalker still tank dungeons?

Yes. Pets now scale from your stats, Demonic Brand adds threat to the Voidwalker's attacks, and Improved Health Funnel heals it while cutting the heal's threat by up to 100%. Plan around a pet tank on the leveling route.

Q: When do raids open for Warlock?

9 December 2026: Barrow Deeps (10), Hyjal Summit (20) and Onyxia's Lair (40). You need level 60.

Q: Is Soulstone published?

The 7 October Warlock kit lists no change to Soulstone or Healthstone, and it removes the Improved Healthstone talent. Plan on the Classic versions of both.

October 15, 2026 patch notes. Shadow Mastery now adds 2/4/6/8/10% Shadow spell damage (was 1/2/3/4/5%). Malediction is replaced by Grim Reach, +10/20% range on Affliction spells, and Destructive Reach now adds 10/20% range to Destruction spells. A fix lets you cast Soul Link on your pet. Every Warlock change is in our October 15 patch notes. On our tier list Demonology sits at A for DPS, Affliction and Destruction at B.

Affliction vs Demonology at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 (PvE)

Destruction burst belongs on the PvP page. Here you pick Affliction dots or Demonology pets for lockouts. Blizzard published the Warlock trees on 7 October, and point spends stay provisional while the beta runs to 21 October.

The 15 October notes raise Shadow Mastery to 2/4/6/8/10% Shadow spell damage (was 1/2/3/4/5%), which lifts every Affliction DoT. Grim Reach replaces Malediction with +10/20% range on Affliction spells, so curses and drains land from further back.

Affliction. Keep dots rolling on the boss. Curse of Agony is now Bane of Agony, and each Warlock keeps 1 Bane on a target. Pandemic raises DoT crit damage, Wrack at 31 points is the drain between refreshes, and Suppression cuts your threat by up to 20%. Drain Soul now has a rising chance per tick to grant a Soul Shard. Watch threat on the opening tick after a pull in dungeons.

Demonology. Pet tank for dungeon nights. Pets now scale from your stats. Demonic Sacrifice at 11 points lasts 2 hours, and Demonic Pact at 31 keeps it when you summon another pet, so it stacks with Master Demonologist.

Do not spend golds in Destruction for raid parses until numbers exist. Recheck the talent calculator.

Warlock BiS by week (PvE)

Shadow damage, hit, stamina. Staff or 1H + off-hand. Named lists stay provisional.

Week 1. Quest shadow blues. Get week-1 gear done.

Weeks 2-3. Pre-raid dungeon set. 1 clear for quests. Get the dungeon set done.

From 9 December. Barrow Deeps (10), Hyjal Summit (20) and Onyxia's Lair (40). Blizzard has not published the raid loot tables yet. Raid carry options.

Every other spec, and the 18 tier 1 sets: BiS lists for every spec.

Leveling hours and the 2 speeds

Voidwalker holds while you drink, dots tick between camps, yet XP still totals about 150 hours. Pack $299 or $420. Normal/RP ruleset. Since the 1 October beta build dungeon quests pay half their old bonus XP, so the hours stay in the open world. A human Pro plays your Warlock by hand from our own gaming hubs, on a PC dedicated to your account and a residential IP in your city. To the game the Pro looks exactly like a family member playing at home. Warlock power leveling.
