• October 15, 2026 patch notes. Shadow Mastery now adds 2/4/6/8/10% Shadow spell damage (was 1/2/3/4/5%). Malediction is replaced by Grim Reach, +10/20% range on Affliction spells, and Destructive Reach now adds 10/20% range to Destruction spells. A fix lets you cast Soul Link on your pet. Undead Will of the Forsaken can't be used under Scatter Shot, and Orc Blood Fury now comes back every 3 minutes (was 2). Every Warlock change is in our October 15 patch notes. On 7 October Blizzard announced Battle for the Darkspear Islands, a 15v15 battleground for levels 30 to 60. Teams hold 4 capture points and carry a central flag, and the 1st team to 2,000 points wins. The Forever Open, a 1v1 duel tournament, runs on 17 and 18 October on the beta's PvP ruleset with level 30 Horde characters.

Destruction here is Shadowburn identity, Fear uptime and Death Coil. Affliction dots stay on the raid page. Blizzard published the Warlock trees on 7 October, and spends stay provisional while the beta runs to 21 October. On 29 September Blizzard confirmed that the lower PvP crit damage on the beta is a bug.

The 15 October notes tune all 3 trees. Destructive Reach now adds 10/20% range to Destruction spells. In Affliction, Shadow Mastery now adds 2/4/6/8/10% Shadow spell damage (was 1/2/3/4/5%), and Grim Reach replaces Malediction with +10/20% range on Affliction spells. In Demonology, a fix lets you cast Soul Link on your pet, the talent that splits damage taken with your demon.

Level 10 to 30. Stay Destruction. Fear is the BG opener, and the Felhunter's Spell Lock is your kick.

Level 40 to 60. Golds in Destruction: Conflagrate at 16 points, Bane of Havoc at 21 and Incinerate at 31. Aftermath lets Conflagrate daze a target to 50% speed for 5 seconds, and Molten Skin cuts all damage you take by up to 10%.

Undead Will of the Forsaken breaks enemy fears, and since the 15 October notes it can't be used under Scatter Shot. Orc Hardiness keeps you standing through stuns for the next Fear.

Stamina cloth plus rank rewards. Rank 10 week 7, Rank 13 week 9.

How rank gear works (Blizzard, 7 October 2026). Honor buys a blue and an epic PvP set. Epic upgrades need an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Rank Points from battlegrounds and PvP quests climb the original 14 ranks with a weekly cap, with a mount at Rank 11 and epic weapons at Rank 14. The 1 October beta build raised Honor costs by about 50% and the Honor cap from 15,000 to 25,000.

Week 1. Honor greens with shadow damage. Get week-1 gear done.

Weeks 2-3. Dungeon stamina pieces between BG sessions. Get the dungeon set done.

Rank weeks. Push Rank 10 then 13. Get Rank 14 done. On a piloted order a human Pro plays by hand from our own gaming hubs, on a PC dedicated to your account and a residential IP in your city. Open a tier to land on Warlock Destruction with the PvP ruleset preselected.

Fear DR addons for Warlock.

• Gladius analogs: arena frames; Forever ports provisional.
• OmniCC: Coil and Fear timers.
• Questie: unlock brackets on the way to 60.

DoT timers belong on the raid sibling.

Fear kiting wins outdoor fights, yet week 7 still needs 60. Spend 150 hours on the quest route. Pack $299 or $420. PvP ruleset costs the same as Normal. Warlock power leveling.
