Retribution Paladin talents at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 (PvE)

Blizzard published Retribution goals: competitive melee, Twist of Light for seal twisting without an addon, Sacred Arbiter, Champion of the Light, Instrument of the Law and reworked Vindication. The path below uses a provisional (beta, 22 September 2026) L30 snapshot (2/0/19 Holy/Prot/Ret). L60 builds stay WIP.

Level 10. Ret is the best solo leveling Paladin. Spend early in Ret: Conviction and Benediction lines. Do not split into Prot.

Level 20. Consecration helps multi-mob pulls. Seals survive Judgment, so the Classic re-seal loop is gone.

Level 30. Provisional beta path: Benediction 5, Conviction 5, Seal of Command, Sanctified Judgement 3, Pursuit of Justice, Sacred Arbiter, Improved Holy Strike 2, Improved Judgement. Rotation: seals (Righteousness / Crusader / Command) + Judgment + Holy Strike; Hammer of Justice as needed.

Level 40 to 60. Push Twist of Light or the Shockadin alt (Champion of the Light + Holy Shock). Finish Ret, then the Forever 16-point row. Stat priority provisional: Strength, Agility, then Stamina. Raid DPS rank stays provisional with no live parses.

Retribution Paladin BiS by week (PvE)

PvE BiS for a Forever Ret Paladin is week-gated. Keep a 2H weapon current. Named slot lists stay provisional.

Week 1. Route and quest blues. Upgrade the 2H every 5 levels. Get week-1 gear done.

Weeks 2–3. Pre-raid dungeon set. Get the dungeon set done.

From 9 December. Barrow Deeps (10), Hyjal Summit (20) and Onyxia. A Ret Paladin still in the mid 50s misses opening lockouts. Raid carry options.

Leveling hours and the 2 speeds

A quest-led 1 to 60 is about 150 hours of play. A Paladin sits near the class average on the published leveling board. Holy Strike at level 6 and Consecration at 20 cut the slow Classic open. dungeons mobs give less XP; dungeon quests pay more on the 1st run: 1 clear per dungeon, then open world.

2 speeds on the Starter Pack:

1 booster, 12 hours a day: about 14 days to 60 at $299 (regular $399 after the pre-order window).
2 boosters in shifts: about 7 days at $420 (regular $599).

Profession leveling 1 to 300 is an add-on on the same order. Playing on a Normal realm is set in the builder before the 1st session.
