How 1–60 is structured (as of 13 September 2026)
World of Warcraft: Forever is a 1–60 run with more than a thousand new quests, four named new areas, and nine new dungeons. Official What’s Next copy: no flying mounts, no level scaling.
Zephras Isle 1–12 is pack-only.

Forever launches 4 November 2026 at 15:00 PST globally (Blizzard’s pre-purchase article and the Battle.net shop). A normal WoW Subscription plays the game. The level cap is 60 for the foreseeable future inside a Year-1 time bubble after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core.
You do not pick a named realm. You pick a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying;
Hardcore after launch). That affects who you group with, not the zone table below. See Forever vs Classic. Class pick: classes. Dates: release date. Hub: /wow-forever.
Blizzard has not published XP-per-mob, quest XP, rested percentages beyond the Legacy example named Well Rested, a dungeon finder, dual spec, or the gold cost of riding at 40 or 60. A Forever-specific boosting / Token rule was also not found. This guide does not guess those numbers or that rule.
Level-band table of zones
Four named playable additions plus Classic starting zones that Found Photos says are revamped (NPCs, quests, profession hooks). Shen’dralas has no published level range. Riverglades quest count is 150+ in What’s Next and nearly 200 Horde + Alliance in Found Photos — both figures are printed; neither is treated as the only official number.

| Area | Level band | How you reach it | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zephras Isle | 1–12 | Skyborne starting experience | Skywall-inspired. Pack-gated with the race (What’s Next + shop). | |
| Classic starting zones | low (exact bands not republished as new numbers) | Normal race creation | Revamped NPCs/quests/profession hooks (Found Photos). Use these if you do not own Heroic or higher. | |
| Riverglades | mid-30s to mid-40s | Connected to Burning Steppes / Redridge / Swamp of Sorrows / Badlands | ~Stranglethorn Vale sized. Port: Powderfuse Port via a new Tanaris Steamwheedle ship. Quest count 150+ vs nearly 200 (conflict noted). | |
| Shen’dralas | not published | Between Mulgore and Desolace / south of Desolace via Valley of Bones | Shen’dralar, Eldre’Thalas, Dire Maul, centaur. Do not guess a bracket. | |
| Mount Hyjal | 60 (Wowhead) | Endgame leveling; aftermath of Archimonde; Darkwhisper Gorge | Reputations; entrance to |
Travel helpers that are published (Found Photos, high confidence): new ships Stormwind Harbor → Auberdine; extra Menethil / Southshore / Auberdine routing; extra Wetlands quests; Desolace centaur faction content; the Tanaris → Powderfuse Port line above. These are routing facts, not XP multipliers.
Forever leveling →1–60 for $259; shorter brackets cost less on the slider. Self-play or piloted. Delivery starts 4 November 2026. Zephras only if you already own a pack.
Nine new dungeons by level — reported bands, two conflicts
Official What’s Next publishes names only. Level brackets below come from Wowhead’s Forever overview and BlizzCon coverage. Party size is not published. Original Vanilla dungeons are not listed as removed; Wowhead’s coverage says Riverglades exists so you need not “run Scarlet Monastery a few hundred more times,” which implies Scarlet Monastery still exists. Scholomance / Stratholme / UBRS size changes are not published.

| # | Dungeon | Press level range | Where / who | Conflict? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hall of Thanes | 13–18 | Beneath Ironforge. Alliance-leaning; Horde can enter | no |
| 2 | Ruins of Lordaeron | 15–20 | Horde reclaim; Alliance can enter | no |
| 3 | Excavation | 24–29 | Above Whelgar’s Excavation, Wetlands | no |
| 4 | City of Dalaran | 28–33 (overview) or 20–35 (BlizzCon coverage) | Dalaran | yes — do not print one band as official |
| 5 | The Drowned City | 35–40 | Troll ruin off Stranglethorn; naga/pirates | no |
| 6 | Krol’dok Stronghold | 40–55 vs 35–40 vs a 40–60 lump in Wowhead’s coverage | Named in What’s Next | yes — press conflict; never one official bracket |
| 7 | Alcaz Prison | 48–53 | Wowhead: Alcaz Island Prison; Defias | no |
| 8 | Blackmaw Hold | 55–60 | Furbolg; corruption | no |
| 9 | The Shaper’s Terrace | 58–60 | Un’Goro / titan | no |
Itemization that matters while you level (Blizzard’s Deep Dive article): every dungeon drop re-examined; unique dungeon boss items are now blue; hundreds of new drops; Blueprint recipes for camping objects drop from dungeon bosses. Raid lockouts are irrelevant until 9 December 2026 (
Barrow Deeps 10,
Hyjal Summit 20; Onyxia 40 on the roadmap slide only). Offer page: /wow-forever/dungeons, from 4 November 2026.
XP helpers Blizzard has actually published
Only these. There is no published +X% table.
- 1000+ new quests from 1–60 (What’s Next + shop). Volume, not a rate.
- Crafted food: a small experience bonus plus stats (Deep Dive). The size of the bonus is not published.
Legacy “Well Rested”: named as a spend in the Adventure / Resourcefulness / Professions trees. Launch spend cap 16 points per character; you can earn up to 65 account-wide toward a cosmetic track (example: Spectral Bear Cub). Well Rested is an example, not a published percentage.- New ship routes (Stormwind Harbor → Auberdine; extra Menethil / Southshore / Auberdine; Tanaris Steamwheedle → Powderfuse Port). They cut run time. They are not XP multipliers.
- Camping: Cooking Fire → Basic Campfire (not a tenth profession; Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage called it a new profession). Sit for vendors, repairs, profession workspace, and one-hour buffs. Up to three contributed objects (Cook 5 or 10). Objects from skill 20 + dungeon Blueprints. Buffs do not stack with the matching class buff.
- 600+ new recipes across professions and levels. Profession XP is not published separately. Offer: /wow-forever/professions.
Riding is a gold sink into training (Burning Crusade-style); a mount is granted when you learn the skill. Pack mounts still need that skill. The gold number at 40 and at 60 is not published. No flying. Mount guide: WoW Forever mounts.
What is not published — say so out loud
Autocomplete and Reddit already ask about leveling speed and quality-of-life. Blizzard has not published:
- XP curve numbers (per mob, per quest, rested %, dungeon XP).
- Dual spec. Anniversary dual-spec articles are a different product.
- LFG / dungeon finder. The published philosophy is to be “thoughtful about convenience,” with camping and world meeting. That is not a finder.
- Riding gold at 40 and 60, and whether those remain the unlock levels.
- Dungeon party sizes and whether Vanilla five-mans changed.
- Guild features specific to Forever.
- A Blizzard-sold level boost for Forever. Packs are race, cosmetics, beta, game time, and invite codes — not an instant-60. Official catch-up language is “play the game.”
- Shen’dralas level range and a single official bracket for City of Dalaran and Krol’dok.
Beta is not a full 1–60 test: it starts 17 September 2026, ends 21 October 2026 PST in official shop copy (on-stage roadmap recaps say 22 October), and the cap 30 figure is on-stage-roadmap only. Details: beta guide.
Skyborne start: Skyborne.
Ask about 1–60 →Ask LFCarry your race, pack, and nights per week. We'll add an hour count as soon as Blizzard publishes one.
How long does 1–60 take? Classic analogue only

Forever XP rate: not published. There is already a public thread asking about Forever leveling speed; it does not contain an official number. The only time range this page will print is the Classic analogue cited there: Naavik, citing forums, timed Classic 0–60 at five to 14 days of /played. That is 2019-era Classic, not Forever. Crafted food and Well Rested can make a first character somewhat faster than that analogue; they can also fail to, because the bonus sizes are unpublished. Do not plan a calendar around a made-up hour count.
What you can plan: launch week is 4 November 2026; invitees with a friend code play 4–11 November without their own sub; first raids are 9 December. That is about five weeks of 1–60 and dungeon gearing before
Barrow Deeps. Hardcore is not a launch-week leveling product.
Alt leveling: account-wide Legacy Points
Legacy Points are account-wide (except they do not flow into
Hardcore). You earn them by leveling a class, hitting skill milestones, exploring, taking PvP ranks, finishing reputations, and running dungeons/raids. You spend them per character, cap 16 at launch, toward Professions / Adventure / Resourcefulness. Earn up to 65 for a cosmetic track. Official design language includes an “army of alts” goal (Blizzard’s Deep Dive article). First character and second character are the same 1–60 map; the second one can sit on points the first one already earned.
That is the published alt-leveling lever. It is not a free 60 and not a Blizzard boost SKU. If you want a second or third 60 after launch, budget another 1–60 and spend the 16 points on Well Rested / profession nodes rather than expecting a hidden XP curve.
Leveling with LFCarry (pre-order, from 4 November 2026)

Two shapes, named so you can pick one:
- Self-play: you stay logged in. A Pro plays with you — questing partner, dungeon tank/heal/dps, or coaching. You keep the character under your hands.
- Piloted: the Pro plays the character on an agreed window. You are not at the keys.
1–60 Leveling from $259. That is the live product. Shorter brackets (a 1–20, a 40–60) sit on the same slider and cost less. Both are pre-orders delivering from 4 November 2026. We will not start a Forever 1–60 before that clock.
Dedicated combo sliders, same $259 floor:
Undead Paladin 1–60 $259,
Dwarf Shaman 1–60 $259.
Raids are a different page and a different date: raids from $149 from 9 December 2026.
Hardcore 1–60 $349 waits until that ruleset opens (2026–2027 window, no day).
Gold and profession work after launch: Gold from $19 per 100g, Professions 1–300 $89. Mixed scopes: custom order from $10. Coaching without a full 1–60: coaching $29/hour. Dungeon runs on the way up: from $9 per run.
Blizzard has not published a Forever-specific boosting or Token rule. This section does not claim paid leveling is allowed or banned. There is no Blizzard instant-60 in the packs.
BlizzCon update (September 13, 2026)
Blizzard’s Deep Dive article (and Wowhead’s Deep Dive coverage): crafted food gives a small XP bonus plus stats; camping one-hour buffs sit on the Cooking Fire → Basic Campfire system (not a tenth profession). Riverglades is mid-30s to mid-40s (What’s Next: more than 150 quests; Found Photos: nearly 200 Horde and Alliance). Hyjal is endgame leveling. Unique dungeon boss items are now blue. Riding: a mount is granted when you learn the skill — mounts.
Class routes:
Undead Paladin,
Dwarf Shaman. Nine named dungeons: dungeons.
