The nine official names (brackets are press)
Blizzard’s What’s Next recap publishes nine new dungeon names and almost nothing else about them. Party size is unpublished. Boss lists are unpublished. Lockouts are unpublished. Official copy does not print a level range for any of the nine. Every number in the table below is therefore labelled press: Wowhead’s What’s Next BlizzCon coverage and the Wowhead Forever overview. Where those pages disagree, both figures stay on the row. We do not pick a winner and call it official.

| # | Official name | Press level band | Press notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hall of Thanes | 13–18 | Beneath Ironforge. Alliance-leaning; Horde can enter. |
| 2 | Ruins of Lordaeron | 15–20 | Horde reclaim; Alliance can enter. |
| 3 | The excavation above Whelgar’s Excavation | 24–29 | Wetlands. Explorer’s League, per BlizzCon coverage. |
| 4 | City of Dalaran | 20–35 (Wowhead coverage) or 28–33 (other Wowhead overview pages) | Conflict. Official article: name only. |
| 5 | The Drowned City | 35–40 | Troll ruin off Stranglethorn Vale; naga and pirates. Show-floor demo, per BlizzCon coverage. |
| 6 | Krol’dok Stronghold | 40–55 vs 35–40 vs lumped 40–60 with Alcaz and Shaper’s Terrace | Conflict. Official article: name only. |
| 7 | Alcaz Prison | 48–53 (overview) / high-level 40–60 lump (Wowhead coverage) | Alcaz Island. Defias in press notes. |
| 8 | Blackmaw Hold | 55–60 | Furbolg; corruption. |
| 9 | The Shaper’s Terrace | 58–60 | Un’Goro / titan. |
The excavation is the official What’s Next name: the instance above Whelgar’s Excavation in the Wetlands, not a rename of the outdoor site. City of Dalaran is the city as a dungeon. Weekend hands-on footage already exists (Xaryu’s first-look upload) — that is interest, not a loot table. Hub: WoW Forever. Dates: release date. Weekend index: BlizzCon 2026 recap.
How to read the two press conflicts
City of Dalaran: Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage prints 20–35; other Wowhead overview pages print 28–33. Do not write “Dalaran is 28–33” as if Blizzard said it.
Krol’dok Stronghold: one overview table prints 40–55; another press table prints 35–40; Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage lumps Alcaz Prison, The Shaper’s Terrace, and Krol’dok as 40–60. If you are routing a character, treat Krol’dok as “mid-to-late, unpublished official band” and check the live tooltip in beta (17 September–21 October PST on Epic or Collection) rather than memorising one number from this table.
Alcaz Prison is cleaner on the overview (48–53) and messier in the Wowhead coverage lump (40–60). Blackmaw Hold (55–60) and The Shaper’s Terrace (58–60) did not conflict across those two press sources. Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, the Wetlands excavation, and The Drowned City also held still across those two press sources. Still press. Still not a Blizzard-published level list.
Vanilla dungeons stay. Scarlet Monastery is still there.

Official What’s Next does not list the original Vanilla five-mans as removed. Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage is more useful than a silence: it says Riverglades has a dungeon so you need not “run Scarlet Monastery a few hundred more times.” That sentence only works if Scarlet Monastery still exists. Treat SM, and the rest of the Vanilla dungeon list, as still in the game until Blizzard writes a retirement. Scholomance, Stratholme, and UBRS size changes: Blizzard has not published them.
Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage also says Riverglades has its own dungeon. The official nine-name list does not include a row titled “Riverglades.” The instance may be one of the nine under another name, or it may be a tenth name Blizzard has not printed. The named Riverglades dungeon is unpublished. Do not write a tenth official title. Zone context (mid-30s to mid-40s, 150+ quests in What’s Next, nearly 200 Horde and Alliance in Found Photos): leveling guide.
Players already opened a large official-forum thread titled “Wow forever dungeon finder?” HOLYKNIGHT wrote that if a random dungeon finder exists, “tbc classics anniversary, mop classics, classics era will all die” (official forums, same weekend). That is fear, not a feature list. See the finder section below for what Blizzard actually wrote.
Loot, blue boss items, Blueprints, transmog
Blizzard’s Deep Dive article is the itemization source. Every dungeon drop was re-examined. Unique dungeon boss items are now blue (Rare). Hundreds of new drops were added. Quest rewards were expanded (the article names a Mor’ladim ring for casters and a Nesingwary spellsword — those are outdoor examples, not a dungeon loot table). Press also wrote that dungeon drops are “all at least rare” and that Expertise was added; those two lines are press, not yet in Blizzard’s written Deep Dive. Combined hit, combined crit, weaker per-item weapon skill, and +heal that includes one-third bonus spell damage are official combat notes that change what a blue drop is worth. They are not a boss-by-boss table.
Blueprint recipes drop from dungeon bosses. They are camping objects, not a tenth profession. Official Deep Dive: Cooking Fire becomes a Basic Campfire system; you sit for vendors, repairs, workspaces, and one-hour buffs; you contribute objects (Cook can raise the object cap to 5 or 10); first objects come at skill 20 from NPCs and trainers; 600+ recipes exist; crafted food grants a small XP bonus plus stats. The Blacksmith Sharpening Wheel is Attack Power in official copy (Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage printed Strength — use official).
Transmog, dungeon rule: opt-in city NPC; Classic Mode at first launch turns transmog off (you still collect). Dungeon Bind-on-Pickup Uncommon and Rare appearances go to all eligible looters. Epic raid appearances go to the binder only — that sentence belongs on the raids guide. Poor and Common appearances stay on the loot. Armor-type rules hold (plate-to-plate). You do not get high-level appearances until 60 except rare cosmetics. BlizzCon coverage says PvP appearances still need ranks. Full transmog and racial notes: racials.
Our 55–60 grouping from coverage brackets, labelled

Blizzard has not published an “endgame dungeon” list. The grouping below is ours, taken from the high end of the press bands, so a 55–60 character has a working shelf. It is not an official tier.
- Blackmaw Hold — press 55–60. Furbolg, corruption.
- The Shaper’s Terrace — press 58–60. Un’Goro / titan.
- Alcaz Prison — press 48–53, or lumped 40–60. We still put it on the 55–60 shelf because Wowhead’s BlizzCon coverage treats it with the high-level trio. If the overview 48–53 band is the one that survives beta, it starts earlier than 55.
- Krol’dok Stronghold — press 40–55, or 35–40, or lumped 40–60. We put it on the same shelf because one press lump already does. If the 35–40 table is the one that survives, it is not an endgame instance.
That caveat is load-bearing. A buyer who hears “official 55–60 four” has been misled. Pre-raid gearing still happens in these rooms and in leftover Vanilla instances before
raids open on 9 December 2026. Leveling around them: 1–60 from $259.
No dungeon finder. Two more dungeons in spring, two in summer on the on-stage roadmap.
A Forever dungeon finder / LFG tool is not announced. Official philosophy (What’s Next + Deep Dive): be “thoughtful about convenience”; camping and meeting in the world are the published grouping aids. That is not a finder. Do not plan a 1–60 around a queue button Blizzard has not shipped. Addon policy for dungeon tools is also unpublished.
Coverage of the on-stage 2027 slide (Icy Veins roadmap — not yet in Blizzard’s written What’s Next): Spring 2027 adds two dungeons (plus two raids, a playable area, a legendary questline, and a PvP season refresh). Summer 2027 adds two more dungeons (plus a revamped iconic raid, a new raid, expanded world, another PvP refresh, and professions / Legacy updates). Those four future dungeons have no names and no brackets.
Hardcore is a separate ruleset after launch, “sometime between 2026 and 2027” on the same slide class — not a 4 November dungeon product. Notes: Hardcore guide.
Beta (Epic Pack or Collection only) is 17 September through 21 October PST on official shop copy. The beta level cap of 30 is on the on-stage roadmap, not yet in Blizzard’s written articles. A character at 30 can reach Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, the Wetlands excavation, and — depending on which Dalaran band is real — some or all of City of Dalaran. It cannot finish Blackmaw Hold. Beta guide.
Dungeon runs with LFCarry ($9 leveling, from November 4)
Live checkout on /wow-forever/dungeons:
- Leveling dungeon (13–55): $9 per run. Default on the page. Extra runs are a multiplier on that rate.
- Endgame dungeon (55–60): $29 per run. That is the live endgame option, not a guess. It matches our 55–60 shelf above — still our grouping from press, not a Blizzard tier.
Delivery starts 4 November 2026, when Forever launches. We do not run a Forever dungeon before that clock. You pick the named instance in chat. We'll add a party size, a lockout, or a Dalaran band as soon as Blizzard publishes it.
If you need the 1–60 around the runs, that is a different offer: 1–60 from $259 (shorter brackets cost less on the same slider).
Gold for repairs and camping objects: from $19 per 100g (1,000g $150). Profession work that uses Blueprint drops: from $89. Coaching without a full clear: $29/hour.
How Forever differs from today’s Classic family: Forever vs Classic. Class pick before you spam Hall of Thanes: classes. First raids wait until 9 December —
Barrow Deeps $149,
Hyjal Summit $249.
