Does WoW Forever have a dungeon finder?
Will WoW Forever have a
dungeon finder? Blizzard has not published a Dungeon Finder or Looking for Group product as of 23 September 2026. Official posts describe grouping as social play inside a ruleset. They do not name an automated matchmaker for dungeons.
That is the full answer today. A later patch could add a tool. Nothing in the Deep Dive, What's Next or ruleset articles confirms a finder for launch. Treat launch week as city chat, friends list, guilds and premade parties.
All 9 new dungeons still open on 4 November 2026 at 3:00 PM PST. You form the group yourself.
Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, the Excavation Site, City of Dalaran, Blackmaw Hold, the Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison and the Shaper's Terrace all need parties. The dungeon list is on WoW Forever dungeons.
Search queries that ask "is there dungeon finder in wow forever" or "will wow forever have group finder" all share this fact. The product is not on the published list. Grouping walls are.
How grouping works in a ruleset
Forever has no traditional realm picker. You pick a ruleset: Normal, PvP or Roleplaying at launch.
Hardcore arrives after launch. Each ruleset is its own large ecosystem.
You group, run
dungeons and
raid only with players on your own ruleset. A friend on PvP and you on Normal cannot form a party. The wall is absolute for dungeons and raids.
Alliance and
Horde stay separate on every ruleset. A Horde friend on your ruleset still cannot join your Alliance party. The 2 walls are independent. Both are Blizzard's rules.
Battlegrounds may mix rulesets, with Hardcore kept out when that ruleset exists. Dungeon finder questions often confuse that PvP exception with instance grouping. Those are different systems.
On PvP you also get faction-balance tools. The population is pushed toward an even split. Normal is PvP by mutual consent. Roleplaying keeps the RP channel culture inside its own ecosystem.
Cross-ruleset and cross-faction: the hard walls
| Wall | What Blizzard published |
|---|---|
| Ruleset | No cross-ruleset groups for |
| Faction | |
| Language | Account preference steers who you meet |
| PvP ruleset | 1 faction per account; balance tools apply |
On the PvP ruleset you create
Alliance or
Horde only for that account. Normal and Roleplaying allow both factions on the account. Language preference is account-wide with a 24-hour cooldown when you change it.
2-part character names are unique per region. Name reservation runs from 27 October to 3 November. Stamp the name on the ruleset you will actually play.
Collections and Legacy Points are account-wide across rulesets, with
Hardcore isolation when that ruleset opens. Progress can leave Hardcore. Other rulesets do not feed into Hardcore.
Guild scope, Auction House scope and layering details are not published as of 23 September 2026. Plan around the walls that are published. Ignore rumors about a cross-ruleset LFG.
Book a dungeon run →Named Forever dungeons on your ruleset and faction from 4 November 2026. Self-play or piloted. Pair with leveling at $299 with 1 booster or $420 with 2 if you still need 60.
How to find a group for dungeons without a finder
With no published
dungeon finder, launch grouping looks like Classic social play inside a bigger ruleset pool.
- Pick the same ruleset as your friends before name reservation ends on 3 November.
- Set the language preference you actually speak.
- Use city chat, in-game looking-for-group channels if they exist, friends lists and guild or community rosters.
- Premade a party before you walk to the stone.
- Book a Pro seat when you want a guaranteed run on your faction and ruleset.
Early dungeons such as Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron will be busy in week 1. Late dungeons such as
Blackmaw Hold and the Shaper's Terrace matter more as you near 60 and the 9 December
raid unlock.
Blizzard has not published whether trade chat or a dedicated Looking for Group channel ships at launch. Bring a backup plan: friends, a guild and a booked run. Forever dungeon design still wants crowd control and planned pulls, so a quiet group beats a random zerg.
Dungeon loot still follows the published Forever rules when your premade clears. Unique boss items are blue.
Blueprints can drop. Uncommon and rare dungeon looks unlock for every eligible looter. Epic raid looks unlock only for the binder. High-level appearances wait until
level 60.
Will WoW Forever add a group finder later?
Will there be a
dungeon finder in WoW Forever after launch? Blizzard has not said yes or no as of 23 September 2026. The roadmap mentions more dungeons,
raids, PvP updates and world content. It does not name an LFG tool.
Do not wait on a tool that is not published. Form groups the social way from day 1. If Blizzard ships a finder later, this page will update the date and the scope.
Group, dungeon and raid only with players on the same ruleset. Cross-ruleset grouping is not supported.
That sentence is the published contract. Plan launch week without a finder.

Fastest1–60 Leveling: 7 days

Why your ruleset pick matters before 9 December
Raids unlock on 9 December 2026.
Hyjal Summit is 20-player.
Barrow Deeps is 10-player. Every seat needs a
level 60 on the same ruleset as the
raid group.
A wrong ruleset pick in October costs you raid invites in December. Friends who split across Normal and PvP cannot
dungeon together in November either. Name reservation runs 27 October to 3 November. Pick the ecosystem before you stamp the name.
Beta already ran from 17 September to 21 October with caps at 20 and then 30. Launch wipes that into the live economy. Your live ruleset is the ruleset that matters for December raids.
Need 60 on time? The leveling pre-order is $299 with 1 booster or $420 with 2. Regular prices are $399 and $599. Paths: leveling and power leveling. Raid seats: raids.
Book a dungeon group with LFCarry
LFCarry sells named Forever
dungeon runs from launch day. You pick the dungeon, your ruleset and your faction. Self-play or piloted both work. The Pro matches your ruleset wall so the invite succeeds.
That is the practical answer when city chat is quiet. You still play Forever's published grouping rules. You skip the long /who loop.
- Dungeon runs: /wow-forever/dungeons
- Leveling pre-order $299 / $420: /wow-forever/leveling
- Raid seats from 9 December: /wow-forever/raids
- Ruleset picker context: Realmless
Ask in chat with your level, faction and ruleset. You get a clear order and a date target for 60. If your friends already locked a ruleset, we match that ruleset on the booking.
Coaching seats also exist if you want a teacher on pulls instead of a full clear. Shelf: /wow-forever/coaching. Most players who ask about a dungeon finder only need a stable party for 1 named dungeon this week.
