How guilds work in WoW Forever

raid only with players on the same ruleset, and factions stay separate. A Normal character and a PvP character never share a guild, and neither do 
Alliance and 
Horde.
You start a guild by handing in a guild charter. On the beta, Blizzard accepts a charter with no signatures while it fixes a bug that blocked signing. The 6 October beta restart also fixed an error when joining or leaving a guild, so the system is still settling.
A guild only raids with 60s on its own ruleset and faction. The raids open on 9 December, so the guild you pick and the 60 you bring decide your 1st raid night.

The guild bank on the beta
The guild bank is on the beta, and players report that opening it costs 100 gold. Blizzard has not published the number of tabs, the tab costs or the withdrawal limits for launch.
In the Classic expansions that had a guild bank, the guild master set a daily gold limit and item limits for each rank. Every tab kept a log of what went in and out. Forever has not shown its rank settings yet. Ask a guild how it plans to run the bank before you deposit anything.
Bank gold stays in its market like any gold: 1 ruleset and 1 faction in 1 region. Blizzard's beta enforcement covers anyone who buys or knowingly receives illicit gold, wherever it is handed over. What that means for gold buyers: is buying gold in WoW Forever safe?
How big a Forever guild gets
A guild holds about 1,000 characters, as players report it. A community bigger than that needs a 2nd guild.
Size is a choice. A guild of 1,000 runs a busy chat, events every night and several raid teams. A guild of 40 to 80 active players is enough for the 10-player and 20-player raids, and its officers know every name.
Raid size sets the floor. The 9 December raids are Barrow Deeps for 10 players, 
Hyjal Summit for 20 and 
Onyxia's Lair for 40. A guild with 25 active raiders runs the 10 and the 20, and needs friends for Onyxia's 40.
How to pick a guild for the 9 December raids
- Ruleset and faction 1st. Your main must be on the guild's ruleset and faction. Gold, raids and the bank all stay there.
- Raid nights and time zone. Ask when the guild raids and in which time zone, and match it to your week.
- Loot rules. Forever has no GDKP, so ask how the guild hands out loot: a loot council, points or rolls.
- Bank rules. Ask who can withdraw from the guild bank and how much each rank can take a day.
- Activity before the raids. A guild that runs dungeon nights from launch week is the guild that raids in December.
A raid guild needs its raiders at 60 when the raids open on 9 December. 1 to 60 is about 150 hours of play, so a main that starts on 4 November at 3 hours a night reaches 60 around 24 December. Our guild membership
We run our own guilds on the US Normal and PvP rulesets, Alliance and Horde: 4 guilds at launch, up to 1,000 members each. Membership is a monthly place in 1 of them, for your main or an alt. It opens as a founding pre-order, and the 1st month starts on 4 November. EU, Roleplaying and 
Hardcore guilds start as a waitlist.

Pro-hours are hours a Pro plays your own characters: gold farming, professions, dungeons or an alt. The gold they make stays on your characters, and nothing is traded or mailed. Unused hours roll over for 1 month.
You get an invoice each month, with no automatic charge, and you can stop any month. Pro-hours and rank perks come only with a paid month. Each unpaid month drops you 1 rank. After 3 unpaid months with no help to the guild, the membership ends. A Recruit who joins at least 4 guild events a month, or crafts for the guild, keeps the rank without paying.
We found no other shop that sells a guild membership. The founding pre-order is open: ranks, prices and the guild picker are on the WoW Forever guild membership page.
