WoW Forever Gnome Racials: Abilities and Best Classes

Blizzard published the full Gnome kit on Create the Hero. Every race gets 2 active and 2 passive racials. Gnome's set is Escape Artist, Eureka!, Expansive Mind and Engineering Spec.

Blizzard's Deep Dive restates the 2 active and 2 passive rule for every race. Gnome is Alliance. Windshaper and High Order Skyborne kits are separate published lists on the same Create the Hero post.

Eureka! is the cast button. Your next 3 spells or abilities cost less and deal or heal 10% more. It works on damage and on healing. Mage nukes, Priest heals and Warlock dots all sit under that wording.

Expansive Mind raises maximum Mana, Rage or Energy by 5%. Casters feel the Mana line most. Rogue and Warrior still gain the Energy or Rage pool bump.

Escape Artist is a brief root and snare immunity. It is the movement answer in open-world PvP and in rooted dungeon packs. Engineering Spec makes engineering devices more reliable. A full profession list is not published as of 23 September 2026. Engineering Spec is named on the Gnome kit itself.

Eureka!: Reduced cost and 10% increased damage or healing on next 3 spells or abilities.

Use Eureka! on the casts that decide the fight. Hold it for the burn phase or the big heal window. Do not burn it on filler.

Expansive Mind is always on. You do not click it. The 5% pool bump is present from character create through level 60.

Blizzard's Alliance matrix lists 5 Gnome classes: Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior. Gnome has no Druid, Hunter, Paladin or Shaman column.

Gnome Priest is 1 of the 6 new race and class combinations named for Forever. That combo is why Gnome Priest searches spike next to Gnome racials. Details sit on Priest racials and the full matrix.

Skyborne High Order can be Mage on Alliance. That is a different race. Gnome stays the Khaz Modan caster race with Eureka! and Expansive Mind.

Warrior and Rogue on Gnome are real matrix options. They gain Escape Artist and the Rage or Energy half of Expansive Mind. They do not gain as much from Eureka!'s spell wording as the 3 caster classes.

If you want Hunter or Shaman fantasy on Alliance, look at Dwarf Shaman or Human Hunter instead. Those are separate new combos. Gnome does not unlock them.

Blizzard has not ranked Gnome classes. The kit favors spell casts.

Priest and Mage gain Eureka!'s 10% heal or damage window and the 5% Mana from Expansive Mind. Warlock sits in the same Mana casting group. Rogue and Warrior still take Escape Artist and the Energy or Rage pool bump.

For healing or Shadow Priest, the Gnome kit is the Alliance search leader. For fire or frost Mage, Eureka! is a timed burst button. For Warlock, the same cast window applies to nukes and drains.

Class design depth beyond racials is thin in the public posts. Blizzard published a Paladin design note. Matching Mage, Priest or Warlock class articles are not published as of 23 September 2026. Use classes and class changes for what is confirmed.

In PvE, Eureka! is a boss burst or heal window. Stack it with potions and trinkets on the pull that matters. Expansive Mind stretches Mana across long dungeon bosses and early raid attempts after 9 December.

In PvP, Escape Artist clears roots and snares for a brief window. That matters against Mage and Hunter control. Eureka! still buffs the next 3 casts in arena or battlegrounds.

Engineering Spec is a crafting reliability passive. Exact device tables are not published as of 23 September 2026. The passive is confirmed on the Gnome kit.

Compare Alliance neighbors on racials. Human stun breaks and Night Elf Shadowmeld answer different PvP problems. Gnome answers cast power and snare breaks.

Dungeon bands on Legacy Challenges use level 15 to 25, 26 to 45 and 46 to 60 buckets. Eureka! still helps inside those bands when the boss pull lands.

Raid week starts 9 December 2026. A Gnome Mage or Warlock with Expansive Mind arrives with a larger Mana pool for early progression. A Gnome Priest uses the same Mana line on heal assignments.

Many Gnome racial queries arrive with Priest in the same string. That matches the new combo Blizzard named: Gnome Priest.

On Alliance, Priest also sits on Dwarf, Human and Night Elf. Gnome is the kit with Eureka! and Expansive Mind. Those 2 traits are why casters keep asking about Gnome Priest early.

Forever launches on 4 November 2026 at 3:00 PM PST. The 1st raids unlock on 9 December 2026. That is a 5-week window to hit level 60.
