The rewrite: two active, two passive, similar offense
Blizzard's Deep Dive article rebuilds every race in World of Warcraft: Forever to two active and two passive racials. Stated goal: stronger, more distinct, more meaningful, without pushing every race toward the same strengths. Offensive power is meant to sit in a similar budget. Signature utility stays. That is the published rule. It is not a complete spellbook.

The same article prints worked examples for Dwarf and Undead only. What’s Next confirms Skyborne get new racials, customizations, voices, and dances — and stops. A Wowhead racials write-up adds Skyborne names and a handful of Tauren, Orc, and Gnome lines. Those extra rows are from BlizzCon coverage and creator demos, not yet in Blizzard’s written articles. Label them that way when you read the table below.
Forever launches 4 November 2026 at 15:00 PST and is included in a normal subscription. Hub: /wow-forever. Class list and the six launch combos: classes. Paid race context: Skyborne.
Official rows: Dwarf and Undead
These lines are the only racial kits in Blizzard's Deep Dive article. The article does not stamp each line active or passive. Do not guess that stamp. Underwater Breathing is explicitly unchanged.

| Race | Racial | What the article says | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stoneform | Still clears / immunizes Bleed, Poison, and Disease. Defensive bonus is now physical damage reduction, not Armor. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Find Treasure | Stacks with other tracking. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Mace Specialization | Critical strike with all spells and abilities while a mace is equipped. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Big Game Hunter | Extra damage versus Beasts. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Will of the Forsaken | Still clears Charm, Fear, and Sleep. No longer grants immunity. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Cannibalize | Restores Mana and Health. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Touch of the Grave | A chance to drain life. | Official Deep Dive | |
| Underwater Breathing | Unchanged. | Official Deep Dive |
That is the official set. Percents for Stoneform’s physical reduction, Mace Specialization crit, Big Game Hunter, and Touch of the Grave are unpublished. Duration and cooldown on Will of the Forsaken after the immunity removal are unpublished. Whether Find Treasure is still a clickable track or a passive is unpublished beyond stacks.
Dwarf Shaman is one of the six free launch combos. If you are taking that identity for maces and Beasts, the published racials are the ones above — not a Wildhammer lore dump. Combo page: Dwarf Shaman. Leveling SKU: /wow-forever/dwarf-shaman-leveling from $259.
Undead Paladin sits on the new Will of the Forsaken: Undead Paladin, /wow-forever/undead-paladin-leveling from $259.
Press and demo rows: Skyborne, Tauren, Orc, Gnome
The following lines are not yet in Blizzard’s written articles. They come from BlizzCon coverage and creator demos, as collected in Wowhead’s racials write-up. Treat them as unconfirmed until Blizzard writes them. If an official article later disagrees, the article wins.

| Race / set | Racial | Press / demo text | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walk on Air | Glide, 10 seconds. | Press | |
| Wind Blessed | +1% melee, ranged, and spell Haste. | Press | |
| Elemental Insight | +5% damage to Elementals. | Press | |
| Read Ley Line | 100% increased Health and Mana regeneration. | Press | |
| Skysight | Elemental Blessing; +10% run speed. | Press | |
| Tauren | Cultivation | Bonus herbs that do not require Herbalism. | Press |
| Axe Specialization | Now increases critical chance. | Press | |
| Expansive Mind | Increases maximum resource. | Press | |
| Eureka! | New. Reduced cost and +10% damage or healing on the next 3 spells or abilities. | Press |
Skyborne still choose Horde or Alliance at create (What’s Next + shop). High Order is the Alliance racial set in that press map; Windshaper is the Horde set. Lore groups Windshapers, High Order, and Al’Aketh also appear in Found Photos as story names — Al’Aketh has no published racial kit. We do not sell Skyborne unlocks. The race and Zephras 1–12 sit behind Blizzard’s Heroic pack or higher. Details: Skyborne guide.
Press does not say whether Cultivation replaces a War Stomp line, whether Orc Blood Fury still exists, or what maximum resource means for a Gnome Rogue versus a Gnome Mage. Those cells stay empty.
Races with no published Forever kit
Deep Dive promised more class and race details in later videos and articles. Blizzard has not published a Forever racial list for:
- Human
- Night Elf
- Gnome (except the two press lines above)
- Troll
- Tauren (except Cultivation in press)
- Orc (except Axe Specialization in press)
- Blood Elf, Goblin, Worgen, Pandaren, Dracthyr, and every later retail race — Forever’s playable-race list beyond Classic-era plus Skyborne is a different question; do not paste retail racials here
Priest racials are a live forum complaint (Priest racials seem very one sided) and not an official table. A Reddit post titled All WoW Forever Race/Class Combos with Racials exists; its upvote count is unpublished. If a shop or a video fills Human Perception, Night Elf Shadowmeld, or Troll Regeneration with a Forever number, that number is not in Blizzard’s written articles.
Existing vanilla race/class pairs were not listed as removed. The six new launch combos are Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, and Undead Paladin, with more planned. Racial identity on those six is the rewrite above, not a seventh combo.
PvP: what the Will of the Forsaken change actually is
YouTube Suggest already returns wow forever racials pvp under the racials seed. That is demand. It is not a tier list. This section is reasoning from published text, not a claim that anything is an exploit, and not a promise that we will break a racial.
The load-bearing official change for arena, battlegrounds, and world PvP is
Will of the Forsaken no longer grants immunity. It still clears Charm, Fear, and Sleep. In Classic-era PvP, the old immunity window after the break is the part people planned around. Forever’s article removes that window and does not replace it with a new duration in prose. Anyone building an Undead Paladin (bubbles plus a fear break) should plan for a cleanse without a follow-up immune. Forum users already named the combo — nzhuv wrote Undead Paladins with wotf on the launch thread. That is a want, not a tested rating.
Dwarf Stoneform’s defensive bonus is now physical damage reduction, not Armor. Bleed / poison / disease clear remains. In a world-PvP ruleset (contested territory) that is a different physical hit than an Armor stack. The article does not publish the percent, so do not treat it as a ranked PvP racial until that number exists.
Reported PvP-shaped lines from the BlizzCon demo: Orc Axe Specialization to crit; Gnome Eureka! on the next three spells; Skyborne +1% Haste and +5% versus Elementals. Those are demo numbers. They are not an official PvP patch note. Darkspear Islands is a new 15v15 battleground (What’s Next). Original battlegrounds remain in BlizzCon coverage. Honor-rank transmog still needing ranks is from that coverage, not this page’s racial table.
Esfand uploaded They Changed ALL The Racials… And Some Are BROKEN (YouTube). A same-day community sheet recorded 321,100 views; a competitor/SEO scrape of the same URL listed 26,396 views at a three-hour mark. Those two counts disagree. Use the title as proof the conversation exists; do not treat either view number as a ranking of which racial is broken. We will not sell a broken-racial package.
How to pick a race with a half-published table
If you need a published offensive or defensive hook, you have two official kits: Dwarf (physical reduction, mace crit, Beasts) and Undead (fear/charm/sleep break without immunity, Mana on Cannibalize, life drain). If you are comfortable with reported demo numbers, add Skyborne, Tauren herbs, Orc axes, and Gnome Eureka!. Everyone else is waiting on the promised follow-up articles.
Faction still matters more than a missing percent. Alliance and Horde stay separate on every ruleset. Skyborne pick a faction at create and then live inside that wall. Hardcore, when it exists, is a fully enclosed ruleset and is not a 4 November racial sandbox.
Leveling from launch is $259 for the full 1–60; shorter brackets cost less on the slider. Dungeons are $9 per leveling run / $29 endgame. Coaching for race and spec decisions is $29/hour.
Gold is from $19 per 100g. We'll add the missing races as soon as Blizzard publishes them. We will not guess a Human or Night Elf Forever racial so a quote looks complete.
