Orc racials in World of Warcraft: Forever are a full 4-trait kit. Blizzard published every line on the Create the Hero page.

The 2 actives are Blood Fury and Shatter Curse. The 2 passives are Axe Specialization and Hardiness.

Blood Fury now raises Attack Power and Spell Power together. That is why the new Orc Mage combo matters on 4 November 2026.

Every race follows the same budget: 2 active traits and 2 passive traits, tuned for similar offensive power with different utility.

Raids open on 9 December 2026. Most players want their Orc at 60 before that date.

Beta runs 17 September through 21 October 2026 on Epic and Collection editions. Use it to feel Blood Fury on your target class before paid launch.

Early name reservation runs 27 October through 3 November 2026. Lock the Orc name while the window is open.

Blood Fury and Shatter Curse

Blood Fury increases Attack Power and Spell Power by 10% for 15 seconds. Melee and casters both press it on pull.

Shatter Curse grants immunity to Curses and Banes and reduces Magical damage taken for 8 seconds. It is a defensive button when curses land.

Exact cooldown numbers for both actives are not published as of 23 September 2026.

Blood Fury: Increases Attack Power and Spell Power by 10% for 15 seconds.

In Classic, Blood Fury was Attack Power only for many players. Forever pairs Spell Power on the same button, so Mage, Warlock and elemental Shaman gain the same burst window as Warrior and Rogue.

Shatter Curse replaces the older anti-curse feel with a short magic-damage shield window. Bring it for curse-heavy dungeon and raid fights when those encounter notes appear.

Open Blood Fury with trinkets and potions on the same burn. That window of 15 seconds is long enough for a full cast sequence on Mage or a melee burst on Warrior.

Save Shatter Curse for the moment a curse or bane actually lands. Magic damage reduction for 8 seconds is the published defensive line beside the immunity.

Neither active replaces class cooldowns. They sit beside your talent plan on talent calculator once trees are final.

Axe Specialization and Hardiness

Axe Specialization is passive. Axes increase spell and ability critical chance by 1% while an axe is equipped.

That wording covers spells and abilities. An axe-using Shaman or Warrior keeps the crit bonus on abilities. White hits are included when an axe is equipped.

Hardiness decreases stun durations by 20%. It is a PvP staple and still helps when dungeon or raid stuns stick.

Hardiness (Passive): Stun durations decreased by 20%.

Weapon choice now ties into the racial. If you want the Axe Specialization crit, plan an axe loadout for the classes that can wear axes.

Classes that never equip axes still keep Blood Fury, Shatter Curse and Hardiness. Mage and Warlock lean on the actives and Hardiness.

Enhancement Shaman and arms-style Warrior builds are the cleanest Axe Specialization users on the Horde Orc row.

Hardiness stacks with other stun reduction from gear or talents when those tools exist. Blizzard has not published a full stun-DR stacking formula as of 23 September 2026.

For dungeon weeks before raids, Hardiness still shortens trash stuns. Blood Fury remains the damage button on every pull that matters.

Which classes can Orcs play?

The official Horde matrix lists 6 Orc classes: Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.

Full matrices for every race live on the race and class combinations page and the classes overview.

Compare kits on the hub racials page when you are still picking a faction.

Orc Shaman remains a Horde staple. Read the Shaman page for class changes, then come back here for the racial layer.

Orc Priest, Orc Paladin and Orc Druid are outside the published matrix. Those rows are not available at launch.

Skyborne Windshaper is a separate Horde race with its own class list. Do not mix Skyborne and Orc rows when you create the character.

Pre-order Orc leveling →Pre-order leveling with 1 booster for $299, or 2 boosters for $420. Regular price $399 / $599 after the pre-order window.

1 booster in 14 days or 2 boosters in 7 days, a report after every session. Full refund before the 1st session.

Best Orc classes at 60

Blizzard has not published a ranked racial tier list. Use the published numbers to match the kit to the role.

Warrior and Shaman gain the most from Axe Specialization if they stay on axes. Blood Fury and Hardiness stack cleanly into melee pressure and PvP.

Mage is the splash pick. Blood Fury now feeds Spell Power, so the new Orc Mage combo is the clearest Forever change on this race.

Warlock and Rogue also press Blood Fury for burst. Hardiness shortens stuns in arenas and open-world PvP.

Hunter keeps the full kit without an axe crit path. Beast content still leans on group plan more than this racial row.

For role picks across all races, skim the tier list and the class changes page, then lock the race after you know the class.

Getting that Orc to 60 before 9 December is the practical gate. The leveling shelf starts at $299 with 1 booster.

Pre-order with 2 boosters is $420. Regular shelf prices after the pre-order window are $399 and $599.

Dungeon clears while leveling still matter for gear and quests. See the dungeons page for the 9 new instances that open with launch.

Orc Mage in WoW Forever

Orc Mage is 1 of the 6 named new race and class combinations. Blizzard lists it with Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin.

Blood Fury giving Spell Power is the mechanical reason the combo exists in Forever. Shatter Curse adds a short magic-damage window casters can plan around.

Axe Specialization does not help a Mage who never equips an axe. Hardiness still cuts stun time in PvP.

More combos are planned for future updates. Extra Orc class openings beyond the published matrix are not published as of 23 September 2026.

If you want the Orc Mage fantasy and a clean path to 60, pair creation with a leveling plan or the power leveling page before raids unlock.

Frost, Fire and Arcane talent routes still follow the class tree. Racials do not rewrite those trees. They add a Spell Power button for 15 seconds on top.

For raid week on 9 December, an Orc Mage at 60 with professions started is ahead of a late alt. Professions list details sit on the professions page.

Orc racials for PvP and PvE

Hardiness is the PvP headline: 20% shorter stuns. Blood Fury is the shared burst button for arena openers and raid burn windows.

Shatter Curse matters when curses or banes show up. Magical damage reduction for 8 seconds is the published PvE and PvP defensive line.

Dual specialization is not published as of 23 September 2026. Plan talents around 1 tree until Blizzard posts a 2nd talent-set product.

Hardcore is not available at the 4 November launch. Pick Normal, PvP or Roleplaying rulesets, then roll the Orc.

Name reservation runs 27 October through 3 November 2026. Reserve the Orc name early if the spelling matters.

Realmless play keeps you inside 1 ruleset for grouping. Read realmless before you create on the wrong ruleset.

Raid sizes and unlock timing live on the raids page. Racials do not change which raid opens on 9 December. They change how your Orc plays inside them.

Release timing and edition access sit on release date if you still need the calendar in 1 place.
