What changed for Warrior in WoW Forever?
Blizzard reworked all 9 classes for Forever, and the Paladin kit came out 1st and in full.
Blizzard has not published the
Warrior kit yet. More class details are planned in future Blizzard videos and articles.
What is live for every
Warrior today is the shared combat rewrite: spell, melee and ranged hit are 1 stat, and crit is 1 stat the same way.
Weapon skill still matters, and it comes in smaller amounts per item.
The full set of confirmed class lines across Forever sits on class changes. Role rankings without a published
Warrior kit live on the tier list.

WoW Forever Power Leveling & Gearing
Best race for Warrior in WoW Forever
Blizzard's race and class matrix puts
Warrior on every Forever race.
Alliance:
Dwarf,
Gnome,
Human,
Night Elf and High Order Skyborne.
Horde:
Orc,
Tauren,
Troll,
Undead and Windshaper Skyborne.
Every
Warrior race brings 2 active and 2 passive racials. For a melee Warrior, the published lines that matter most are below.
| Race | Faction | Racials that hit Warrior play |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Fury (+10% attack and spell power, 15s); Axe Spec (+1% crit with axes); Hardiness (−20% stun duration) | ||
| Will to Survive (remove stuns); Sword Spec (+2% crit with swords); The | ||
| War Stomp (2s stun); Endurance (+5% Health, +1% Hit); Plainsrunning (move-speed stacks) | ||
| Elune's Light (+10% crit, 15s); Quickness (+1% Dodge, +2% run); Shadowmeld | ||
| Skyborne | Both | Walk on Air (glide 10s); Wind Blessed (+1% haste); Elemental Insight (+5% vs Elementals) |
A Skyborne
Warrior starts on
Zephras Isle from levels 1 to 12. The race sits behind the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher. The Heroic Pack costs $29.99 on the US Battle.net shop, the Epic Pack $59.99 and the Warcraft Forever Collection $79.99.
Gnome
Warriors get Escape Artist, Eureka! and Expansive Mind (+5% Mana, Rage or Energy).
Troll Warriors get Berserking (+10% cast and attack speed, 10s), Beast Slaying (+5% vs Beasts) and in-combat Regeneration.
Undead
Warriors keep
Will of the Forsaken without the old Charm, Fear and Sleep immunity window.
Cannibalize now restores Health and Mana.
Touch of the Grave can drain health on hit.
Full racial text for every race is on racials. Skyborne lore and faction pick is on Skyborne.
Skyborne Warrior in WoW Forever
Both Skyborne factions can be
Warrior. Windshaper (
Horde) and High Order (
Alliance) share Warrior with
Hunter,
Rogue and
Druid.
Horde Skyborne also unlock
Shaman.
Alliance Skyborne also unlock
Mage. That split is why a Skyborne
Warrior is a free race pick for either faction once the pack is owned.
Walk on Air is the travel racial both sides share. High Order adds Read Ley Line for stronger Health and Mana regen. Windshaper adds Skysight for a +10% run speed blessing.
Warrior or Paladin in WoW Forever?
Readers ask
Warrior or
Paladin because Forever publishes a full Paladin kit and leaves the Warrior kit closed.
Paladin gains Holy Strike at level 6, seals that Judgment no longer consumes, Seal of Fury for Protection, and Consecration as a baseline spell at level 20.
Paladin still has no interrupt and still lacks some slows. That gap is from Blizzard's own Deep Dive post.
Warrior still fills the Classic melee tank and arms roles in player plans. Blizzard has not published spec
talent names for Arms, Fury or Protection.
Pick
Paladin when you want the published kit and Holy or Protection tools on day 1. Pick
Warrior when you want every-race access and the Classic Rage class at 60.
Stay on a single talent tree until Blizzard says otherwise.
Warrior talents at 20 and at 60
Warrior
talent trees keep Classic's row count, with 1-point gold talents at 11, 21 and 31 points and a new 4th at 16.
Some talents stay as in patch 1.12. Some are adjusted. New ones fill the space left when class buffs moved to baseline.
Improved Battle Shout is now baseline, so no
Warrior spends talent points on the stronger shout. The merged hit stat also makes a Warrior's taunts land more reliably.
Blizzard has not published an explicit total of 51 talent points for the
Warrior.
Beta runs from 17 September to 21 October 2026. Progress does not carry to live. Use beta to feel the trees early. Live
level 60 builds wait for Blizzard's class posts.
Blizzard's design aim is that all 27 talent trees earn a group spot, with real tradeoffs between them. Until
Warrior trees are posted, treat Arms, Fury and Protection as Classic roles with Forever itemization.
How the milestones work for every class is on the talent calculator page.
Leveling a Warrior from 1 to 60
A
Warrior starts at level 1 when Forever opens on 4 November and climbs to a level cap of 60.
A
Warrior needs the same XP per level as in Classic. Killing
dungeon mobs pays less XP now, and each dungeon's
quests pay a bonus on the 1st run. Do those quests once, then take the Warrior back outdoors.
Forever adds 1,000+ new quests across 1 to 60. Food can grant a small XP bonus plus stats. There is no flying.
A
Warrior quests through starting zones, then the shared mid-game. The
Riverglades covers the mid 30s to mid 40s with 150+ new quests.
Mount Hyjal is the endgame leveling zone Blizzard named for the late 50s.
Each of the 9 new dungeons has a level range from Blizzard:
Hall of Thanes opens the list at 13 to 18 and Shaper's Terrace closes it at 58 to 60. Legacy Challenges also bucket dungeons into 15 to 25, 26 to 45, and 46 to 60.
The calendar that matters is 5 weeks from launch to the 9 December
raid unlock.
Legacy Challenges open account-wide perks. A character can spend up to 16 Legacy points at launch, from up to 65 earnable challenges. Adventure-tree picks such as Well Rested raise rested XP gain and the rested cap.
Upgrade-pack owners can reserve
Warrior names from 27 October to 3 November 2026. You can create up to 3 characters in that window and customize how they look. Each name goes to the 1st player who claims it, and Blizzard does not guarantee any name.
Hardcore is a Forever ruleset that arrives sometime after launch.
The route and the pace math are in the leveling guide, and the dungeon guide lists every stop. If the slow
Warrior climb is the problem, a Warrior leveling boost has a booster play those hours for you.
In Classic the
Warrior was the slowest class to level on its own. It ate or bandaged after most pulls. A quest-led 1 to 60 is about 150 hours of play for an average class, and a Warrior should plan for more.

Drawn for 150 hours, the 1st column is the best case for a
Warrior on its own.
Warrior at 60 before the 9 December raids
A
Warrior needs
level 60 to tank or fight in the
raids that open on 9 December 2026. They are
Barrow Deeps, a 10-player challenge,
Hyjal Summit for 20 players and
Onyxia's Lair for 40.
A
Warrior still in the mid 50s on 9 December misses the 1st raid lockouts.
LFCarry's Forever leveling pre-order is $299 with 1 booster and $420 with 2 boosters. Regular rates are $399 and $599 after the pre-order window.
