The 1st big stage for Shaman PvP is the Forever Open on 17 and 18 October: a 1v1 duel tournament on the beta PvP ruleset with level 30 Horde characters, a 100,000-dollar prize pool and 5,555 dollars for the best player of each class, the Shaman included.

Level 30 PvP tier list from the beta, October 2026: the Shaman class is C tier, with 45.7% of 1,447 duels won in the Forever Open qualifiers. Forever launches on 4 November. All 9 classes: level 30 PvP tier list.

Blizzard named the Restoration golds in the Shaman kit on 7 October 2026: Water Shield at 11 points, Mana Tide Totem at 16 and Riptide at 31. Water Shield returns mana when you are hit, and since the 15 October notes when any of your spells crits. Riptide heals at once and over 15 seconds with a cooldown of 6 seconds, with Chain Heal 25% stronger on that target. Mana Tide Totem also gains a rank at level 38. Riptide on the flag carrier is your burst save, and Water Shield turns the hits you take and your own spell crits into mana. Spirit-in-combat is a Restoration class line, and point spends and rates stay provisional while the beta runs. Since Blizzard's 8 October build notes, PvP critical strikes no longer carry a damage reduction, so heal and shock crits land in full.

BG Restoration wants resilience-style PvP stats when they exist, plus +healing. Rank pieces beat dungeon cloth for the flag room.

How rank gear works (Blizzard, 7 October 2026). Honor buys a blue and an epic PvP set, and every epic upgrade needs an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Rank Points come from battlegrounds and PvP quests with a weekly cap, so the 14 ranks are a weekly climb: a tabard at Rank 1, a mount at Rank 11 and epic weapons at Rank 14. Since the 1 October beta build Honor prices are about 50% higher and the Honor cap is 25,000.

Rank weeks. Rank 10 week 7, Rank 13 week 9. Battle for the Darkspear Islands, the new 15v15 battleground for levels 30 to 60 (4 capture points, a central flag, 1st to 2,000 points), feeds honor next to the classic BGs, and its 2 reputations sell gear. Rank 14 offer.

From 9 December. Raid +healing only if it beats rank. Raid carries.

BG Restoration wants Engineering gadgets. Ultimate PvP on the live offer is Engineering + Enchanting. Open a card to land on Shaman Restoration on the PvP ruleset.

Who is dying on the flag.

• BattlegroundTargets: incoming on your carrier.
• Grid2 compact: 15-man BG frames. 40-man raid frames live on Restoration PvE.
• LoseControl: your lockouts.
• Clique: click-heal while moving.

DBM stays on Restoration PvE.
