• October 15, 2026 patch notes. Lava Burst moves from the 7th to the 5th row as the 21-point gold talent. It gains a 4th rank and needs no prerequisite, so Elemental can take it at the level 30 beta cap. Chain Lightning costs about 35% less mana on all 4 ranks. Elemental Mastery returns as the 31-point gold talent: Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst cast 0.5 seconds faster and Chain Lightning has no cooldown for 15 seconds, on a 3-minute cooldown. Elemental PvP is a caster who dumps Nature damage, Purges, then Ghost Wolfs out. You do not tank 5-man trash here. Hub for races and totems: Shaman hub. Lockout DPS: Elemental PvE. Melee flags: Enhancement PvP.

The 1st public test of Shaman duels is the Forever Open on 17 and 18 October: a 1v1 tournament on the beta PvP ruleset with level 30 Horde characters and a 100,000-dollar prize pool, with 5,555 dollars for the best player of each class.

Level 30 PvP tier list from the beta, October 2026: the Shaman class is C tier, with 45.7% of 1,447 duels won in the Forever Open qualifiers. Forever launches on 4 November. All 9 classes: level 30 PvP tier list.

Blizzard published the Shaman kit on 7 October 2026. Talents open at level 10, gold milestones sit at 11, 16, 21 and 31 points, and Dual Specialization at level 40 lets you keep a PvP and a PvE spec. Point spends stay provisional while the beta runs. Milestone numbers live on the hub and the calculator.

Leveling in PvP. Shocks to peel, then Lightning Bolt when they stand still. Lightning Bolt from rank 4 casts in 2.5 seconds and Chain Lightning in 2. Elemental Reach adds up to 15 yards to Flame Shock and, since the 15 October notes, also cuts the Totemic Projection cooldown by 10 or 20 seconds. Eye of the Storm now resists spell pushback whenever you take damage while casting. Concussion no longer boosts Frost Shock or Flame Shock.

At 60. Since the 15 October notes, Earthbound is the 16-point gold: Earthbind Totem roots nearby enemies for 5 seconds the moment you drop it, the peel that wins flag rooms. Lava Burst moves to the 21-point gold with a 4th rank, so Elemental can take it at the level 30 beta cap. It casts in 2.5 seconds, has a cooldown of 10 seconds and hits 20% harder on a target with your Flame Shock. Flame Shock, Lava Burst, then Lightning. Elemental Mastery returns at 31 points: Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst cast 0.5 seconds faster and Chain Lightning has no cooldown for 15 seconds, your burst window on a 3-minute cooldown. Call of Thunder is removed. Lightning Overload can add a free half-damage copy of a Bolt.

Ghost Wolf is your gap closer and flee, and Improved Ghost Wolf in Enhancement makes it instant at rank 2. The old Stormstrike Nature amp is gone: Stormstrike now sits 16 points into Enhancement and buffs only the caster’s own next spell. Since Blizzard's 8 October build notes, PvP critical strikes no longer carry a damage reduction, so your Lightning crits land in full.

PvP Elemental lives on honor pieces and stun-cap stats. Week 1 blues still fill empty slots.

How rank gear works (Blizzard, 7 October 2026). Honor buys a blue and an epic PvP set, and each epic upgrade needs an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Rank Points come from battlegrounds and PvP quests with a weekly cap, so the 14 ranks are a weekly climb: a tabard at Rank 1, a mount at Rank 11 and the epic weapons at Rank 14. Since the 1 October beta build Honor prices are about 50% higher and the Honor cap is 25,000.

Week 1. Quest caster gear for the 1st brackets. Early PvP blues.

Rank weeks. Farm toward Rank 10 (week 7) and Rank 13 (week 9). Darkspear Islands, the new 15v15 battleground for levels 30 to 60 (4 capture points, a central flag, 1st to 2,000), and the classic BGs feed the climb. Rank 14 offer.

From 9 December. Raid drops can beat mid-rank cloth. Only swap if spell damage wins. Raid carries.

Honor climbing wants Engineering gadgets and Enchanting on the caster stick. Ultimate on the live PvP offer is that pair. Open a card to land on Shaman Elemental on the PvP ruleset.

Arena and BG tools. Raid meters live on Elemental PvE.
