How to Complete Scarlet Monastery in WoW Forever: All 4 Wings, Bosses and Loot

Scarlet Monastery is the stronghold of the Scarlet Crusade in Tirisfal Glades. It is 4 dungeons in 1 building, and each wing has its own portal and its own level band.

Players call it SM. The wings run from the Graveyard at level 30 up to the Cathedral at 46.

Here is the order most groups take through the 4 wings:

1. Take the quests before you go. Horde characters pick up most of them in the Undercity. Alliance characters have Mythology of the Titans in Ironforge.
2. Clear the Graveyard. Interrogator Vishas and Bloodmage Thalnos are its 2 bosses, and 1 of 3 rares can spawn.
3. Clear the Library. Kill Houndmaster Loksey, then Arcanist Doan. The chest behind Doan holds the Scarlet Key.
4. Open the Armory. The key opens its door, and Herod waits at the end of the halls.
5. Finish in the Cathedral. High Inquisitor Fairbanks hides in a side room. Scarlet Commander Mograine and High Inquisitor Whitemane fight together at the altar.

1 of our level-60 Pros can clear 1 wing or all 4 with you, or play your character through them.

Each wing is a separate dungeon with its own lockout and its own bosses. The level bands overlap, so a character often runs 2 wings in the same few levels.

Inside the main building the 4 portals stand side by side. The Graveyard and Library portals are open from the start.

The Armory and the Cathedral sit behind locked doors. A player with the Scarlet Key opens them for the whole group.

Tirisfal Glades is Horde land, so the Horde has the short ride from the Undercity. Alliance groups travel north into Horde territory.

Graveyard: Interrogator Vishas

Vishas fights with a pack of Scarlet Crusaders around him. Kill the adds, then the Interrogator.

Graveyard: the 3 rares

Azshir the Sleepless, Fallen Champion or Ironspine can stand in the graveyard on a run. Azshir fears a player, the Fallen Champion cleaves, and Ironspine drops Poison Clouds and Curse of Weakness.

Graveyard: Bloodmage Thalnos

Thalnos is the last boss of the Graveyard. Stand away from him and step out of his Flame Spike.

Library: Houndmaster Loksey

Loksey fights with 3 Scarlet Tracking Hounds and gives them Bloodlust. Kill the hounds before Loksey, and let a Priest or a Shaman remove the Bloodlust.

Library: Arcanist Doan

At half health Doan shuts himself in an Arcane Bubble and casts Detonation. Run out of his room before it goes off, then come back.

He also silences the players near him and turns a player into a sheep. Healers stand further back.

Armory: Herod

Herod spins in a Whirlwind and takes no damage while it lasts. Melee players step back until it ends.

When he dies, a wave of Scarlet Trainees rushes into his hall. The group stays at the door and uses area damage.

Cathedral: High Inquisitor Fairbanks

Fairbanks waits in a hidden side room of the cathedral. He heals himself at low health, so interrupt the Heal.

Cathedral: Mograine and Whitemane

Clear the whole cathedral before you pull Mograine at the altar. The packs inside join a careless pull.

Mograine falls before Whitemane shows up. She runs in and raises him, and the 2 fight together.

Healers manage their mana for 2 phases, and the group saves its cooldowns for the 2nd half.

Most Scarlet Monastery quests are Horde quests. Take them before you zone in, because several start far from Tirisfal.

Hearts of Zeal asks for 20 Hearts of Zeal, which drop across the wings. The Library has more quests than any other wing.

Ravager is the 2-handed axe Herod drops. Robe of Doan and Mantle of Doan make a cloth pair for casters.

The trash of every wing drops pieces of the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade, a 6-piece mail set.

Forever hides a new reward behind a puzzle in the monastery: the Scarlet Banner. It is a camping object, a trophy for your campsite with no buff.

1. Collect 4 echoes. Each lies on a grave: Go'Shek Farm in Arathi Highlands, the graveyard north of Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh, Splinterspear Junction in Swamp of Sorrows, and the back corner of the Graveyard wing by the mausoleum.
2. Enter the Library. 4 busts of the monastery's archivists stand in niches along a hallway past Loksey.
3. Use each echo at its bust, in the right order. The banner then goes to your bags.

Arathi Highlands, Dustwallow Marsh and Swamp of Sorrows are higher-level zones, so a level 30 character collects those echoes in a group. Our WoW Forever camping guide lists the other camping objects.

Scarlet Monastery has 2 rows in the dungeon list on the order page: 1 wing of your choice, or all 4 wings in 1 order. Both rows take 1 of our level-60 Pros.

You play along on your own character, or the Pro plays it through the wings. Every drop and quest reward from the run stays on your character.

The 4-wing order is the quick way to finish every quest of the monastery at once. 3 or more runs in 1 order take 15% off.
