The Short Answer: Nine Masteries, Three Modes
Official NEXT multiplayer copy is the lock: the camo journey spans Multiplayer, DMZ, and Warzone. Each weapon has a Camo Track in each experience. Three mastery camos per mode. Nine total. Official video titles on that blog: Prestige Mastery Camo Showcase, Multiplayer Mastery Camo Showcase, DMZ Mastery Camo Showcase, Warzone Mastery Camo Showcase. Those titles name the modes. They do not print the nine finish names as an official written list on the pages fetched 13 September 2026.

As seen in the beta / datamined, and repeated on community camo pages and the 21 August 2026 mastery-showcase thread:
- Multiplayer: Mercurial Drift → Polyatomic Reforged → Orion Reforged
- DMZ: Chiral → Ripple Tide → Helio
- Warzone: Parallax → Damascus Reforged → Empyros
That is nine names, not thirteen. Prestige camos exist as a separate official video title; a named prestige-camo list is unpublished. Moonlit Pearl and Gilded Ruin are pre-order universals, not this grind. If you want the MP finish reserved, ultimate camo is the shelf page — a pro starts when the servers open on 23 October. How Mastery Unlocks Work in This Series
Modern Warfare-family mastery, as the series has run it, is a per-weapon track: you complete a stack of challenges on one gun, you earn that gun’s next camo, and a mastery that covers the armory waits until enough guns in that mode have finished the previous tier. Official MW4 pages fetched 13 September 2026 lock the three-mode, three-per-mode shape. They do not print how many guns unlock the next mastery, and they do not print kills, headshots, longshots, or extraction counts. We will not invent those numbers.

What you can plan without a fake table:
- A gun you never take into DMZ will not finish Helio on that gun.
- A gun you never take into Warzone will not finish Empyros on that gun.
- Orion Reforged, as seen in the beta, is the Multiplayer finish — not a free unlock from a Warzone track.
- Damascus Reforged, as seen in the beta, sits on the Warzone track. Community comments on 21 August already argued about that split. Official written pages do not settle a “Damascus is MP” hope.
Launch inventory is 33 weapons (24 primary, 8 secondary, 1 melee). An all-weapon mastery quote on this site means those 33 unless Activision later adds more — later adds are unpublished. Class list: MW4 weapons list. Maps the MP track lives on: 2026 maps.
Gold / Platinum as MW4 mastery names: unpublished on official text fetched that day. Do not treat a Black Ops or older Modern Warfare gold step as a printed MW4 requirement.
Ask LFCarry →Orion on 6v6, Helio in DMZ, Empyros in Warzone — or all three. We will not invent a kill count.
Multiplayer Track — as Seen in the Beta

Mercurial Drift is the first MP mastery name as seen in the beta. Polyatomic Reforged is the second. Community camo pages (mw4.gg, read 13 September 2026) treat Polyatomic Reforged as MP mastery tier 2 and say “at this time no further information” on challenges — that is the honest state, not a tease we fill in. Orion Reforged is the third MP name as seen in the beta. Players who remember Orion from Modern Warfare II are talking about a look, not a copied challenge table.
The 6v6 set those challenges will live on is the twelve named on the NEXT blog. A 24/7 small-map playlist existed as community talk during the test; it is not an official launch playlist announcement. Do not start a longshot grind on a map you have not seen until you have read the in-game unlock text — mw4.gg’s own warning is the same: do not start a 6v6 longshot grind unless the unlock text changes.
Ninja and Quick Fix return as perks. Attachments are shared by class, so a sight you unlock on one AR is available on the others. Apex Attachments wait until the gun is maxed and do not consume a Gunsmith slot. Weapon levels from the official test guide are printed on the weapons page; they are “Levels,” not labelled as a forever launch cap.
DMZ and Warzone Tracks — as Seen in the Beta
DMZ: Chiral → Ripple Tide → Helio, as seen in the beta. DMZ is a launch pillar of the premium game — Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ on 23 October 2026. Hajin is the named DMZ map; it also comes to Battle Royale in Season 1. Extraction timers, squad size, and per-tier extraction counts are unpublished. Sibling: MW4 DMZ.
Warzone: Parallax → Damascus Reforged → Empyros, as seen in the beta. Warzone integrates MW4 content beginning in Season 1. Season 1’s calendar day is unpublished (“shortly after” 23 October). Zodiac is the new Resurgence map (Beenox). Last-gen Warzone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is unplayable starting Season 1. Sibling: Warzone integration.
Prestige paths grant “exclusive Prestige rewards” and a video titled Prestige Mastery Camo Showcase exists. A named prestige-camo list (Exclusion Zone, Pyroclast, or any other community first-look title) is unpublished as an official written table. Treat those YouTube names as community first-looks, not as a third official mastery ladder you can quote to a store.
Pre-order universals that are not this grind: Moonlit Pearl (instant in Black Ops 7 Season 05) and Gilded Ruin (serialized for the first 100,000). Both unlock on MW4 weapons at launch on 23 October. They do not replace Orion Reforged, Helio, or Empyros.
Time Estimates (Series Analogues, Labelled)

Estimate, labelled as an estimate — not Activision. In recent Modern Warfare-family titles, finishing one gun’s early mastery step has typically been an evening-or-two job for a player who already knows the maps, and finishing an all-weapon mastery has been a multi-week project. MW4 challenge counts are unpublished, so we will not print “X hours per gun” or “Y kills” as if they were official. If you only play one mode, budget one track. If you want all nine names on all 33 launch weapons, budget three mode-tracks — that is the official shape, not a sales upsell.
A community thread from the August test described a secret test-window camo after 1,500 operator kills, and another player sat at 1,740 kills without Litmus. Those numbers are test-window complaints, not launch mastery tables. We do not reuse them as Orion requirements.
Weapon leveling sits under the camo track: you cannot finish a mastery on a gun whose attachments and Apex you have not unlocked if the challenge needs those tools. Official test level caps run from Combat Knife 30 to Signal .50 at 73. One community comment said Type 73 took 3–4 hours to max in the test and FiNN took 2 after that — a player estimate, not Activision. If you want the gun maxed without sitting the cap, weapon leveling.
Ultimate camo →Ultimate camo is the Orion Reforged page. A pro starts when the servers open on 23 October. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts.
How to Start on 23 October Without a Fake Table
Open the in-game Camo Track on a gun you own. Read the unlock text. If the text asks for a longshot, pick a map you have already walked — six of the twelve are new on launch day. If the text asks for an extraction, that is DMZ, not 6v6. If the text names Warzone, wait until Season 1 is actually in the client — the calendar day is unpublished.
RICOCHET is listed as live in MW4. Permanent bans since MW (2019) may be ineligible. We do not write “zero bans.” Work on this site is hand-played or piloted, VPN-matched; if a suspension is on us we re-do or refund.
Reserve the MP finish on ultimate camo if you want a pro on the 33 launch weapons when the servers open. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts. Ladder prices on that page print only when the catalogue row is basic; otherwise the link is the product, not a second price we invent here.
