The Short Answer: DMZ Is a Launch Pillar
Official announcement copy names three premium pillars at launch: Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ. That is the confirmation. It is not a mode you wait for Season 1 to see — Season 1 is when Warzone integrates MW4 content, and Hajin also arrives in Battle Royale then.

Official language treats DMZ as the extraction / squad PvEvP mode. Co-op in Support’s editions FAQ is 2-player split-screen Multiplayer on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 — not a published DMZ squad-size spec. Zombies is discussed for Black Ops 7, not as an MW4 mode. Special Ops is not used on the 2026 MW4 pages fetched 13 September.
If you want hours on missions and extractions reserved, DMZ missions — a pro starts when the servers open on 23 October. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts. The DMZ mastery finish lives on the camo guide and the ultimate-camo shelf for the MP track; DMZ-specific camo is a separate product family when those rows resolve.
Hajin and the Maps That Touch DMZ

Hajin is a DMZ map. It is also coming to Battle Royale in Season 1. Ground War Combat Outpost sat on Hajin in the August test with two named slices: Imjin Farmland and Wolves Stadium. Those are Ground War spaces, not a second and third DMZ map announcement.
Zodiac is a new Resurgence map (Beenox), playable in the second public test weekend. It is Warzone, not a DMZ map. Do not fold it into this list. Warzone integration.
Other DMZ maps besides Hajin: unpublished. A “40 days no DMZ info” community complaint is about how little else was printed — it is not a map name we will invent to fill the gap.
The twelve core 6v6 maps are Multiplayer, not DMZ: 2026 maps.
DMZ Mastery Track — as Seen in the Beta

Official lock: each weapon has a Camo Track in DMZ; three mastery camos in this mode; nine masteries across MP / DMZ / Warzone. As seen in the beta / datamined: Chiral → Ripple Tide → Helio.
Per-weapon challenge counts, extraction counts, and how many guns unlock the next DMZ mastery: unpublished. mw4.gg-style community pages say the same for the MP middle tier — no further information. We will not print a kill or extract table.
A gun you never take into DMZ will not finish Helio on that gun. Orion Reforged (MP, as seen in the beta) does not complete Helio. Empyros (Warzone, as seen in the beta) waits for Season 1. Full nine-track map: mastery camos.
Vault’s DMZ Deployment Bonus exists in editions copy. Contents: unpublished (“stay tuned”). Do not treat it as a starter extract kit we can list.
Extraction — What Is Confirmed

Confirmed: DMZ launches inside the premium game on 23 October 2026; it is extraction / squad PvEvP; Hajin is a DMZ map; a Camo Track exists in this experience; Vault buyers are promised a Deployment Bonus whose loot list is not printed.
Unpublished: extract timer, number of extracts, exfil vehicle type, squad size, insured-slot count, wallet/currency name, a mission-tree title list, whether you can solo-queue, whether you can extract the same gun you brought in.
Series habit, labelled: older DMZ seasons used a timer, a backpack, insured weapons, and faction missions. Those are not MW4 patch notes. If the live client reprints them, the live client wins. Until then this page will not copy a 2023/2024 Al Mazrah rulebook onto Hajin.
Create-a-Class still matters when you deploy: 33 launch weapons, class-shared attachments, 28 Apex at max gun level. Default-only guns (Axion, Sang 9mm) and campaign-only Striga are poor plans for a DMZ grind unless the launch client changes those gates — a change is unpublished. Weapons list.
Zombies and Special Ops Are Not MW4 Modes
Official pillars are Campaign / Multiplayer / DMZ. Zombies is discussed for Black Ops 7, not MW4. Special Ops is not used on the 2026 MW4 pages fetched 13 September. If you searched “does MW4 have zombies,” the answer this extract supports is: not as an announced MW4 mode — play DMZ if you want PvEvP extraction.
That is not a promise that Zombies will never be added. It is a statement about what is printed today. A later season announcement would update this page. Season 1’s printed additions are Warzone integration, Zodiac, and Hajin-in-BR — not a Zombies mode.
How to Start on 23 October
Own the premium game. Campaign Early Access on 16 October does not include DMZ. Deploy on Hajin when the mode is live. Read the in-game Camo Track before you grind a challenge that might be extracts, not 6v6 kills.
RICOCHET is live in MW4. We do not write “zero bans.” Hand-played or piloted, VPN-matched; if a suspension is on us we re-do or refund. Permanent bans since MW (2019) may be ineligible. Battle.net permanent bans cannot play online.
Reserve extraction hours on DMZ missions. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts. If the product you want is Helio on the armory, say that in chat — the camo rows and the hourly row are different scopes.

The official launch weapon count is 33; twenty-two names sit in the official test guide and eleven names are unpublished. Twelve core 6v6 maps are named; six of those names were in the August test and six arrive on 23 October. Mastery camos are three per mode and nine in total; the nine names used on this site are as seen in the beta. Killstreaks at launch are listed as 17. If a later official post names a map, a weapon, or a date this page omitted, the next refresh replaces the unpublished line — it does not invent the name first.
