MW4 Weapons List: 33 Launch Guns by Class

The NEXT multiplayer blog prints 33 weapons at launch: 24 primary, 8 secondary, 1 melee. The official Open Beta weapons guide named 22 of those 33 across 9 classes. Official pages still print 0 names for the remaining 11.

Vault Signature platforms already sit inside the 22: Kastov 762, ISO Nightshade, Rezi 12, Oris 8.6, Combat Knife. Those 5 add 0 extra names on top of the 22.

Official pages print 0 damage numbers, 0 TTK, 0 recoil graphs, and 0 5-attachment recipes. Live hub ranks live on the loadouts page.

ISO Nightshade is printed as a full-auto 9×19mm with a notable recoil signature and 56 Levels. The same card calls out strong class-level impact.

Pistol spelling on official pages splits: the heading list says Karit P68, and the card image says Krait P68. This page uses Karit P68 from the heading. Unlock text on Sang 9mm says Default Loading Only on that card. The class list says Default Loadout only.

If a later official post names 1 of the 11 blank launch guns, this page adds that name. Until then the count stays 22 named plus 11 blank.

• X-58 Nyx: integrally suppressed, subsonic, high impact, very low recoil. Apex: X-58 Void.

A player comment during the test said Type 73 took 3 to 4 hours to max and FiNN took 2 hours after that. Official pages print 0 hour-to-max table.

Apex Attachments are the final reward for maxing a weapon. They equip separately from standard Gunsmith pieces and do not consume an attachment slot. 28 Apex at launch. 19 of those 28 sat in the test. More than 500 standard attachments.

Gunny sits in Create-a-Class. Short for Gunnery Sergeant. It builds from the attachments you already unlocked and offers Short Range, Long Range, and Balanced starting points.

Create-a-Class also carries 18 perks with a Pick 3 row, 17 killstreaks, 9 tacticals, 11 lethals, and 11 field upgrades. Ninja and Quick Fix return at launch.

Visit the Firing Range on a gun you own. Compare builds. Test attachments before a match.

Gunsmith categories on the official guide: optics, lasers, barrels, muzzles, underbarrels, stocks, rear grips, ammunition, magazines. Lasers such as the 1mW and 5mW Canted Lasers unlock Canted Stance. The beam stays visible while you aim. Hollow Point returns: delayed healing and a blood trail on a critically injured Operator.

An attachment unlocks once. Every other gun that uses that piece already has it. If a later Level would grant a piece you already own, that Level skips as a Bonus Level Up. You do not have to sit a 2nd gun to earn a piece for a favourite.

Default-loadout guns, the launcher, and the Combat Knife sit outside Apex. Axion, Sang 9mm, and Wz. 55 Striga also sit outside Gunsmith. Supported guns unlock 1 unique Apex as the last Level. Hyeon Burst and Kastov 762 print 2 Apex names each.

Gunny is optional. Short for Gunnery Sergeant. A click assembles a build from attachments you already unlocked. Infinity Ward’s developers crafted the recommended builds. You can still edit every slot by hand.

Unlock from the 22 you can name. Axion and Sang 9mm are weak grind targets while they stay default-loadout only. Wz. 55 Striga stays Campaign Mission only on the official list. Finish or skip Campaign accordingly. Early Access on 16 October (PT) is the Campaign. Multiplayer waits for 23 October.

Camo tracks sit on these guns in Multiplayer, DMZ, and Warzone. 9 masteries total. Mastery camos. Maps: 2026 maps.

RICOCHET is live in MW4. Permanent bans since Modern Warfare (2019) may be ineligible. Hand-played or piloted, VPN-matched. If a suspension is on us, we re-do the session or refund it.

Reserve a max on 1 gun or a bundle on weapon leveling. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts.

Vault Signature Collection is base plus blueprint plus Apex. The 5 platforms: Kastov 762 / Voltspine, ISO Nightshade / La Sombra Venenosa, Rezi 12 / Shattered Code, Oris 8.6 / Volt-Edge, Combat Knife / Sombra Besada. Those 5 already sit inside the 22. Warzone from Season 01.

Live hubs on 20 September still open on ISO Nightshade, M4, and Kastov 762. Type 73, X-58 Nyx, and Oris 8.6 now sit in that same top band. Letter ranks for those names live on the loadouts page. This URL stays the inventory.

The official launch weapon count is 33. 12 core 6v6 maps are named. 6 of those 12 names sat in the August test. The other 6 arrive on 23 October. Mastery camos are 3 per mode and 9 in total. Killstreaks at launch are 17. An Activision account is required. A mobile phone number may be required. PC needs TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
