MW4 Weapons List — 33 Launch Guns by Class

The Short Answer: 33 at Launch, 22 Named

33Launch weapons
22Named in the test guide
11Names unpublished

Modern Warfare 4 Official NEXT multiplayer blog: 33 weapons — 24 primary, 8 secondary, 1 melee. Official test weapons guide: 22 named in nine classes. The five Vault Signature platforms (Kastov 762, ISO Nightshade, Rezi 12, Oris 8.6, Combat Knife) are already inside those 22. They are not five extra names on top.

Damage, TTK, recoil graphs, and five-attachment recipes: unpublished on official pages fetched 13 September 2026. Dated August overlap (not a tier list): M4, Kastov 762, Han 86, ISO Nightshade, PPSh-41 — best loadouts.

If you want a gun maxed without sitting the level cap, weapon leveling — a pro starts when the servers open on 23 October. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts.

The 22 Named Guns, by Class

  • ARs (6): Han 86; M4; Hyeon Burst; Kastov 762; Patriot XMR (listed as Battle Rifle in the guide); Axion (default loadout only).
  • SMGs (4): ISO Nightshade; PPSh-41; X-58 Nyx; Wz. 55 / WZ.55 Striga (Campaign Mission only).
  • Shotgun (1): Rezi 12.
  • LMGs (2): FiNN / Finn LMG; Type 73.
  • Marksman (2): MAR-9; Oris 8.6.
  • Snipers (2): KG-7 Vulcan; Signal .50.
  • Pistols (3): Karit P68; .50 GS; Sang 9mm (default loadout only).
  • Launcher (1): PILA.
  • Melee (1): Combat Knife.

ISO Nightshade intel on that page: full-auto 9×19mm, “strong class-level impact with a notable recoil signature,” 56 levels. That is flavour copy, not a TTK number we will invent around.

Contradictions, both official: weapons guide Karit P68 versus progression / EYNTK Krait P68; X-58 Nyx versus X-58; Wz. 55 Striga versus WZ.55 Striga; Beta Forged blueprint as Han 86 versus ISO Nightshade. This page prints the weapons-guide form first and notes the conflict.

Published Test Level Caps

Official weapons guide “Levels” (high as published / medium as a forever launch cap): Han 86 68; M4 68; Hyeon Burst 64; Kastov 762 71; Patriot XMR 64; Axion 67; ISO Nightshade 56; PPSh-41 54; X-58 Nyx 47; Striga 52; Rezi 12 60; FiNN 52; Type 73 57; MAR-9 67; Oris 8.6 68; KG-7 Vulcan 72; Signal .50 73; Karit P68 34; .50 GS 50; Sang 9mm 34; PILA 36; Combat Knife 30.

One community comment said Type 73 took 3–4 hours to max in the test and FiNN took 2 after that — a player estimate, not Activision. Attachments are shared by weapon class, so an optic unlocked on one AR is available on the others in that class.

Apex Attachments are a final max-weapon unlock and do not consume a Gunsmith slot. 28 Apex at launch (19 in the test). 500+ standard attachments. Gunny auto-builds.

Gunsmith Rules That Are Official

Create-a-Class at launch also holds 9 tacticals / 11 lethals, 11 field upgrades, 17 killstreaks, and 18 perks (pick 3). Ninja and Quick Fix return. Operators and killstreaks sit inside each loadout. Movement is boots-on-the-ground / grounded MW. The word “omnimovement” is not used.

Unpublished: names of the 11 extra launch guns; five-attachment recipes; damage / TTK; a ranked restricted list; whether test Levels become launch caps.

Vault Signature Collection (already in the 22): Kastov 762 / Voltspine; ISO Nightshade / La Sombra Venenosa; Rezi 12 / Shattered Code; Oris 8.6 / Volt-Edge; Combat Knife / Sombra Besada — base + blueprint + Apex at launch; Warzone from Season 01.

How to Use This List on 23 October

Unlock from the 22 you can name. Do not plan a Season 1 bible around a gun that is still unpublished. Default-only Axion and Sang 9mm are poor grind targets unless the launch client changes that gate. Striga is campaign-mission only in the official list — finish or skip campaign accordingly; Early Access on 16 October is the Campaign only.

Camo tracks sit on these guns in MP, DMZ, and Warzone — nine masteries total. Mastery camos. Maps: 2026 maps.

RICOCHET is live in MW4. We do not write “zero bans.” Hand-played or piloted, VPN-matched; if a suspension is on us we re-do or refund.

Reserve a max on one gun or a bundle on weapon leveling. Cancel for a full refund any time before the session starts.

This Is Not a Tier List

A lettered S/A/B list would be invented. The dated August snapshots that overlapped on M4 and ISO Nightshade live on the loadouts page, labelled as August. When a launch patch exists, that page updates. This URL stays the inventory.

wzstats.gg (26 August 2026) named M4, Kastov 762, HAN 86, ISO Nightshade, PPSH-41, and on a separate post KG-7 Vulcan and Signal .50. CODmunity.gg (29 August 2026) listed ISO Nightshade at 18.6% pick on the extract we opened. Those are snapshots, not launch patch notes.

The 11 extra launch names and all damage stats remain unpublished.

This page only states facts that sit on Activision Support, the official Call of Duty blog, the official store, or the Xbox Vault listing as of 14 September 2026. A number that is not on those pages is unpublished. The 2026 Modern Warfare 4 launch date is 23 October. Campaign Early Access for digital Standard and Vault pre-orders is 16 October 2026, Pacific Time, and it is the full Campaign. Vault Edition is listed at $99.99. Standard MSRP is unpublished on those pages. Listed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — last-generation consoles are not on the list. Warzone Season 1 is when MW4 systems integrate; the calendar day of that season is unpublished. Ranked Play is not dated. A tactical-nuke threshold is not printed on official MW4 pages. The official launch weapon count is 33; twenty-two names sit in the official test guide and eleven names are unpublished. Twelve core 6v6 maps are named; six of those names were in the August test and six arrive on 23 October. Mastery camos are three per mode and nine in total; the nine names used on this site are as seen in the beta. Killstreaks at launch are listed as 17. An Activision account is required; a mobile phone number may be required. PC needs TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. RICOCHET is listed as live. Permanent bans since Modern Warfare (2019) may be ineligible. Preload windows and launch-hour clocks are unpublished. If a later official post names a map, a weapon, or a date this page omitted, the next refresh replaces the unpublished line — it does not invent the name first.

Refresh rule: read the official blog and Support again before changing a date, a price, or a class count. Do not copy a community tier list into this page. Do not print a Standard MSRP that is not on Activision. Do not print last-generation platforms. Do not treat Zodiac as a 6v6 map. Do not treat Ranked Play as a 23 October product. Do not treat a 30-kill tactical nuke as an official MW4 sentence. Those are the same unpublished lines as above, restated so the page stays long enough to be useful without adding a fake statistic.
