Is double XP live in MW4 right now?
No MW4 double XP event is live or announced. 
Black Ops 7 ended its last double XP event before MW4, Quad Feed, on Monday 12 October.
The opening MW4 double XP weekend is projected for 30 October to 2 November. The only dated MW4 bonus so far is in the US: 1 Monster code uploaded from 23 to 25 October adds 1 bonus 2XP token.

How 2XP tokens work in MW4
A 2XP token in 
Modern Warfare 4 counts down only during match time. The timer stops in menus and lobbies and runs again in your next match.
Each token shows its time on the token.
XP you earn in DMZ also counts toward your overall Player Progression.
Do Black Ops 7 tokens carry over to MW4?
Yes. Unspent 2XP tokens from Black Ops 7 work in MW4 on the same Activision account. Every token you run on Black Ops 7 camos now is 1 token less for MW4.

You can redeem 1 Monster code per day. Promo codes are limited to 1 hour of each token type per day and 40 hours of each type per account, across all promotions. Codes you upload before 23 October wait on your account for launch day. The tokens do not have to be used before the promo ends.
Verifying the email on your Activision account adds 5 hours each of 2XP, Weapon 2XP and Battle Pass 2XP, plus a Black Ops 7 camo. Accounts verified earlier already have them. The package is issued for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and unspent tokens carry over to MW4.
No MW4 edition includes 2XP tokens. The Vault Edition adds 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips. Edition contents and launch times are in the MW4 release date guide.

No MW4 date is announced. Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 each started their opening double XP weekend on the Friday 7 days after launch. That points to 30 October to 2 November. Modern Warfare III waited 11 days in 2023 on PlayStation, which would be 3 November.
Season 1 has no date yet. Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 got Season 1 19 to 26 days after launch. For MW4 that projects to 11 to 18 November.
Fast leveling plan for launch week
- Hold your Black Ops 7 tokens. Leave them unspent until MW4 launch day.
- Bank Monster codes in the US. Upload 1 code per day before launch and keep 1 for 23 to 25 October to get the bonus token. The 1-hour daily limit on promo tokens spreads them over the launch days.
- Play the campaign in Early Access. It opens 16 October for digital pre-orders.
- Run tokens in full matches. On 23 October, turn a token on before a match you plan to finish.
- Use tokens between events. In Black Ops 7, tokens lock during a global double XP event and their time waits until it ends. Play that event without tokens, and check the MW4 rule at the opening MW4 event.

What to do this week and on 23 October
- 12 to 15 October: Black Ops 7 has no double XP event. Keep your tokens for MW4.
- 16 to 22 October: pick your launch goal: Soldier Rank, a prestige path or weapon levels. Your token order follows that goal.
- 23 October: check each token's length in game, then follow the plan above.
