How the Weekly Featured Rotation Works After 9.7.0

The old Legends node is gone. Every raid and dungeon now lives in a dedicated Raids & Dungeons node on the Director, permanently launchable. What rotates weekly is the featured slot — and featured status is where the loot economy lives:

  • Featured raid, Standard: Deepsight (pattern) weapons or Tier 5 armor from every encounter and challenge.
  • Featured raid, Master: all of the above plus Adept weapons from the weekly challenges.
  • Featured raid extras: a Director challenge and hidden chests on weekly lockouts, a Deepsight chest, and a raid vendor selling one Deepsight weapon per week — on Master, the vendor offers Adepts for 25 Spoils of Conquest.
  • Featured dungeon: Tier 5 weapons and armor from Standard difficulty up — the most efficient Tier 5 farm in the game.
  • Non-featured raids: still drop Deepsight weapons with Tier 3 armor on Standard, and Tier 5 from Master runs, challenges, and the Deepsight chest.

Two more 2026 changes matter. Every pre-Edge of Fate raid and dungeon was upgraded to drop tiered rewards with new armor set bonuses, and craftable raid weapons received refreshed perk pools — both crafted weapons and raid Adepts can now be upgraded to full Gear Tier 5 power. Translation: your 2021 Fatebringer farm is current-year content again.

All Ten Raids Ranked by Difficulty

Ranked hardest to easiest, weighing mechanical load, punish rate, and how badly one weak link hurts the run:

  1. Salvation's Edge — Verity remains the hardest puzzle encounter Bungie ever shipped, and The Witness demands clean execution from all six players. The prestige clear of 2026.
  2. The Desert Perpetual — the open-order structure sounds friendly; the boss fights are not. Heavy role assignments and unforgiving damage checks across Agraios, Iatros, Epoptes, and Koregos.
  3. Last Wish — Riven fought legit is still a masterclass in coordination; most fireteams skip the mechanics entirely, which tells you everything.
  4. King's Fall — Golgoroth's gaze and the Oryx ogre-bomb dance punish sloppy callouts.
  5. Vow of the Disciple — symbol literacy under time pressure; Rhulk ends casual runs.
  6. Garden of Salvation — tether discipline makes it harder than its age suggests.
  7. Vault of Glass — mechanically light, but Atheon's timestream still filters disorganized groups.
  8. Crota's End — chalice juggling is the only real skill check.
  9. Deep Stone Crypt — clean roles and generous arenas; the friendliest raid that still feels like a raid.

Rule of thumb: farm a raid's legendaries the week it is featured — Deepsight drops, Tier 5 armor, and Adept access all stack that week — and spend Spoils of Conquest at the end-of-raid vendor for targeted buys.

Time Budgets: Planning a Raid Night

The at-a-glance table gives experienced clear times; here is how to plan around reality:

  • Learning runs: multiply by two to four. A blind Salvation's Edge is a multi-session project; a blind Root of Nightmares is one relaxed evening.
  • Checkpoint farming: most encounters re-run from a checkpoint. Templar farms in Vault of Glass or final-boss re-clears during featured weeks are the best loot-per-hour in the game.
  • Weekly cadence: each encounter pays one full reward per character per week; featured weeks lift that ceiling with farmable Deepsight drops.
  • The three-character rule: exotic chances are per character — three Koregos kills a week triples your Whirling Ovation odds.

Pantheon 2.0: Raid Bosses on Tap

Monument of Triumph made Pantheon permanent — a gauntlet of reprised raid bosses, no traversal, no lockout on the fun parts. It ships as three Director nodes:

  • Calus Resplendent — three reprised Leviathan-era boss encounters, modernized for the current sandbox.
  • Morgeth Surpassing — three encore encounters, each fusing two classic encounters into one new fight that demands fresh strategies.
  • Insurrection Prime Revolutionary — the full seven-boss gauntlet: Argos, Warpriest, Gahlran, Consecrated Mind, Calus, Morgeth, and Insurrection Prime.

Since June 16, a weekly rotator also features two individual bosses for direct farming, so you can target a specific reward without running the whole playlist. The prize pool: a new armor set per class with its own set bonus, reprised weapons carrying a unique origin trait (holofoil variants included), ornament drops from the original raids' armor sets, and an end-of-run vendor that re-rolls earned items for Spoils of Conquest.
