How to Get the Hellfire Torch in Diablo 4 Season 15

Updated 2026-11-06 · 6 min read · by LFCarry PRO team

The Hellfire Torch is a Mythic Unique charm for every class in Diablo 4 Season 15. It drops in the Echo of Tristram, where Diablo, Baal and Mephisto fight you at once. You open that fight with Wirt's Lucky Coins, crafted from 3 Prime Evil Splinters. You reach Tristram itself through 10 Deckard's Journals. The route below is current on patch 3.2.4.

The Torch belongs to Season 15, Season of Hell's Legacy, which started with patch 3.2.1 on 15 September 2026. Patch 3.2.4 followed on 28 October 2026. It changed how Splinters stack.

The Hellfire Torch returns from Diablo 2 as a Mythic Unique charm. It sits in your Talisman with your other charms. Every class can equip it.

The Hellfire Torch on your character

A PRO gets the Torch for the class set you name, levels a new seasonal character, or farms a Mythic your build needs.

How to get the Hellfire Torch: 6 steps

  1. Finish the Season 15 questline. The seasonal dungeons of the Prime Evils show up on your map as you play it.
  2. Reach Torment 10. The Prime Evil echoes exist only from Torment 10.
  3. Farm 3 Prime Evil Splinters. You need a Splinter of Terror, a Splinter of Destruction and a Splinter of Hatred.
  4. Craft Wirt's Lucky Coins. Put 1 of each Splinter into the Horadric Cube and transmute them.
  5. Unlock Tristram. Read all 10 Deckard's Journals, then talk to Deckard Cain in the Imperial Library. He opens a portal called Deckard's Memory.
  6. Make a wish at the fountain. In Tristram, use the fountain with the Coins in your bag. A red portal named ?????? opens to the Echo of Tristram.

Inside, you kill Diablo, Baal and Mephisto in 1 fight. The Hellfire Torch drops at the end, with a lot of other loot.

Short on time? A PRO can get the Hellfire Torch on your account, with +1 set count for the class set you name.

Where the 3 Prime Evil Splinters drop

Each Prime Evil has a red seasonal Capstone dungeon on the map. Its echo drops 1 kind of Splinter.

A kill only has a chance to drop its Splinter. Blizzard has published no drop rate.

Splinters also come from 2 other places. A Prime Evil can ambush you during a Helltide and drop a Splinter. Seasonal caches can hold them too.

Patch 3.2.4 raised the Splinter stack from 1 to 99. You can now bank Splinters and craft Coins later.

Never right-click a Splinter. A right-click swaps it in as your active Prime Evil power and uses it up.

Deckard's Journals: the road to Tristram

Tristram stays closed until you read 10 Deckard's Journals. They lie across Sanctuary and show as a small dot on your minimap when you get close.

Journals wait in Gea Kul, the Imperial Library, Scouring Sands, Wejinhani and Marowen, with 5 more in other regions. Reading the 10th journal starts the quest Deckard's Journey.

  1. Return to Deckard Cain. He waits in the Imperial Library.
  2. Step into Deckard's Memory. Cain opens this dark blue portal for you.
  3. Explore Tristram. The town from Diablo 1 is back, with its old faces and its fountain in the center.

The fountain only reacts while you carry Wirt's Lucky Coins. Craft the Coins, then come back.

Old Tristram also hides the Bovine gloves of the Diablo 4 cow level set.

The Echo of Tristram fight and its rewards

The Echo of Tristram puts the echoes of Diablo, Baal and Mephisto in the same arena. You fight all 3 at once.

Bring more toughness than a single boss fight needs. Test 1 run before you spend more Splinters.

The Torch takes 1 Talisman slot and opens 1 more Unique Charm slot. It also counts toward 1 class set, so you can keep a set bonus with 1 charm fewer.

Blizzard confirmed that the Torch works with charms beyond what was intended. Blizzard also said nothing changes during Season 15.
