How to unlock the Dark Citadel: Crater of Lost Souls
The Dark Citadel comes with the Vessel of Hatred expansion. A priority quest opens it.
- Reach Torment 1. Clear Pit tier 10 to unlock it.
- Take the priority quest Crater of Lost Souls. It arrives once Torment 1 is active.
- Find Priestess Cualli in Kurast. The quest starts with her.
- Finish the quest. It opens the Ancient Nexus, the hub of the raid in the Crater of Lost Souls.
- Form a party of 2 to 4. Enter a wing from the Ancient Nexus.

Dark Citadel wings and bosses
The Dark Citadel has 3 wings. You enter each one from the Ancient Nexus.

Each wing makes the party split up. Pressure plates and barriers need players in 2 places at once, so a solo player cannot finish a wing.

Dark Citadel rewards: Citadel Coins and the weekly cache
Citadel Coins. You earn them inside the raid. Zyanya, the vendor in the Ancient Nexus, sells consumables, caches and cosmetics for them.- Cosmetics. Citadel Coins buy cosmetic sets exclusive to the Dark Citadel.
- Weekly cache. The Challenger's Cache goes to players who clear all 3 wings in the same week.

The Dark Citadel in Season 15 (2026)
Season 15, Season of Hell's Legacy, started on 15 September 2026. Patch 3.2.4 went live on 28 October.
Torment now runs from 1 to 12. Torment 1 still opens the Crater of Lost Souls quest.
