Destiny 2 Weekly Checklist (2026): What's Actually Worth Doing

Updated 2026-07-11 · 7 min read · by LFCarry PRO team

Every Tuesday reset asks: what is worth YOUR hours? Since Monument of Triumph (9.7.0) every raid and dungeon is launchable year-round — value now lives in the featured rotation, Adepts, and targeted farms, not old pinnacle power bumps. Below: the must-do / recommended / optional list for July 2026, plus this week's live lineup.

Destiny 2 Weekly Checklist (2026): What's Actually Worth Doing

How weekly priorities work in the Monument of Triumph era

Update 9.7.0 (Monument of Triumph, live since June 9, 2026) flattened the old seasonal treadmill. All raids and dungeons launch from the Raids & Dungeons node year-round, and each Tuesday two raids + two dungeons are marked featured for farmable high-tier gear. Weapons climb five Gear Tiers; Tier 5 unlocks enhanced perks — but a tier upgrade never adds a perk the drop didn't roll with, so farming the right roll first is the whole game.

The old powerful / pinnacle power-point checklist is dead. Weekly value now splits into three buckets:

  • MUST-DOfeatured content (best tier-up loot density per hour)
  • RECOMMENDED — weekend Trials Adepts (except Iron Banner weeks), Grandmaster Vanguard Alert weapons, Pantheon 2.0 featured bosses
  • OPTIONAL — evergreen exotic / pattern / title chases slotted into leftover time

PriorityActivityWhy it wins this era
1 · MUST Featured raid(s)Highest-tier drops + Master challenge Adepts; densest loot/hour. Check the Director node every Tuesday.
2 · MUST Featured dungeon(s)Same tier boost, faster clears; dungeon exotics stay among the strongest sandbox picks.
3 · REC Trials of Osiris (weekends)Adept weapons with the Tier 5 edge; Flawless is still the best PvP loot lane. Skips Iron Banner weeks. Trials carries.
4 · REC Grandmaster Vanguard AlertFeatured Adept-class Nightfall weapon + prisms/shards. Brutal solo; routine with a fireteam — GM carries.
5 · REC Pantheon 2.0 featured bossesPermanent boss gauntlet; weekly featured encounters for challenge-tier loot and Godsbane triumphs. Pantheon boosts.
6 · OPT Evergreen chasesExotic farms, god rolls, seals/titles — whatever your build still needs.

Limited-time triage — what to cut first

If you only have 2–3 hours before reset, run this filter:

  1. Featured dungeon first if you need a specific exotic or Tier 5 farm — highest loot/minute.
  2. One featured raid clear (or the exotic boss only) on your main — three characters only if the exotic drop rate matters.
  3. GM once for the weekly weapon if Adored (or that week's Adept) is on your chase list.
  4. Trials Saturday/Sunday only if you want Adepts — skip on Iron Banner weeks.
  5. Skip non-featured raid re-clears on characters that already looted them, most planetary busywork, and any mid-roll Tier 3 grind you'd replace at Tier 5 anyway.

The era's biggest trap: grinding a mid roll to Tier 3 and realizing the perk you wanted was never on it — farm the roll first, then invest tiers.

What you can safely skip

Non-featured raid re-clears on characters that already looted them, most planetary busywork, and any farm for a weapon you'd replace at Tier 5 anyway. If a week's featured lineup doesn't overlap with anything your builds need, bank the time: play Trials for the Adept pool, knock out a Pantheon featured boss, or finish a title you've been putting off.

Power progression was overhauled in the Edge of Fate → Monument era and no longer drives the weekly list the way old pinnacle/powerful sources did. Chase featured-rotation loot tiers and Adepts instead of incremental power points.

Doing it the fast way

Everything on this list is what LFCarry PRO teams run all day: raid carries on the featured rotation, dungeon runs, weekend Trials Flawless, and Grandmasters. Self-play = you're in the fireteam; piloted = done while you're at work. Either way the weekly checklist stops being a second job.
