Destiny 2 Grandmaster Rotation: GM This Week (updated weekly)

Live now through Tuesday, August 18 at 10 AM PT (17:00 UTC): the Grandmaster Vanguard Alert is Sunless Cell. Confirmed by Shattered Vault's Aug 11 rotator and Boostmatch's Aug 11 reset guide. The featured challenge / Bonus Focus weapons were still unconfirmed at scrape time — treat in-game Alert rewards as source of truth.

• Grade gate: B+ for the weekly challenge weapon
• Matchmaking: Off on the Alert node

Bungie does not publish a full forward calendar — each Tuesday reveals the next Alert. Recent confirmed weeks:

• Aug 11–18 (current): Sunless Cell — challenge weapon unconfirmed at time of writing
• Aug 4–11: Defiant Battleground: EDZ — The Slammer (challenge) / Null Composure (Bonus Focus), per Kyber and Blueberries
• Shattered Vault forward list: Aug 18 Exodus Crash · Aug 25 The Arms Dealer (provisional)

Standalone GM Nightfalls are gone. Since Renegades / Portal, strike-style endgame lives in Fireteam Ops, and the weekly featured run is the Grandmaster Vanguard Alert — Seasonal Hub → Vanguard Alerts. It rotates weekly, runs harder than standard Grandmaster Ops, and matchmaking is disabled on the Alert node.

Complete the Grandmaster Alert at a B grade or better for the weekly challenge payout:

• Featured challenge weapon — name unconfirmed at time of writing; verify on the Alert card
• Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards — still among the fastest legit sources
• Fireteam Ops engrams scaled to your final grade, plus bonus XP

The first weekly clear counts for the challenge weapon; repeat runs can still drop featured loot at a reduced rate.

Rather wipe-check Sunless Cell champions than bank the weekly Alert — book an LFCarry GM Nightfall completion and keep the challenge drop, prisms, and shards on your account.
