What Coda Is (And What It Is Not)
Coda is legendary dungeon armor, not an exotic. light.gg’s set page (scraped Aug 29, 2026) lists 15 pieces — helmet, gauntlets, chest, legs, class item, for Titan / Hunter / Warlock. Class names on that page:
- Titan: Crushing Helm / Guard / Plate / Greaves; Mark Judgment (CODA).
- Hunter: Flowing Cowl / Grips / Vest / Boots; Cloak Judgment (CODA).
- Warlock: Channeling Cowl / Wraps / Robes / Treads; Bond Judgment (CODA).
Every row on light.gg is tagged S29 – MONUMENT OF TRIUMPH. Flavor text is “for one who seeks answers about the Dark.” That is a database tag, not a drop table — the drop table is Prophecy (next section).
Our Search Console (site https://lfcarry.com/, 2026-08-01 to 2026-08-28) already ranks these queries on the shop SKU /d2/coda-armor. That SKU is type=editor (slider floor $20, opened Aug 29, 2026) — we do not print that floor as a price. This page is the how-to those queries asked for.
How to Get Coda — Prophecy Dungeon
Two independent pages say the same source:
- wewantdestiny3 — CODA (scraped Aug 29, 2026): “CODA comes from the Prophecy dungeon. You need any four of its five pieces for the full 4-piece bonus, which leaves your fifth slot free for an exotic.”
- PlayerAuctions — All New Armor Set Bonuses (Elijah, Jun 15, 2026): dungeon table row Prophecy (Coda).
Our own dungeon guide (July 2026) already lists Prophecy as Arrivals (2020), final boss Kell Echo, “no exotic — armor / weapons farm.” That matches. After Update 9.7.0, Bungie Help (Monument of Triumph support guide) says every dungeon launches from the Raids and Dungeons node; the old Legends node is gone. Featured week still decides the high-tier loot economy — we do not invent a Coda-specific drop rate.
Live catalog: Prophecy dungeon boost is a mega page with a fixed armor package (Moonfang-X7 + Crushing / Coda sets). Opened Aug 29, 2026. The standalone /d2/coda-armor farm is a slider and is not on this board.

Set Bonus — Between Poles and So Very Thin
Both dated write-ups print the same two perks. Wording differs by a few words; we do not merge them into a third sentence.
| PlayerAuctions (Jun 15, 2026) | wewantdestiny3 (scraped Aug 29, 2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| 2-piece — Between Poles | Final blows with Light-element weapons grant stacks of Light Polarity, which increase your Grenade stat. Final blows with Darkness or Kinetic weapons grant stacks of Dark Polarity, which increase your Melee stat. | Final blows with Light weapons grant stacks of Light Polarity (Grenade stat). Final blows with Darkness or Kinetic weapons grant stacks of Dark Polarity (Melee stat). |
| 4-piece — So Very Thin | Final blows with Light weapons grant bonus grenade energy; Dark or Kinetic grant bonus melee energy. Rapidly alternating Light and Darkness final blows grants a short period of damage resistance. | Same energy split. Rapid final blows that alternate Light and Darkness grant a short period of damage resistance. |
wewantdestiny3 adds: two pieces switch the 2-piece on, four pieces switch the 4-piece on; any slot mix counts, so four Coda + one exotic keeps the bonus. They also say the bonuses apply in Crucible, not only PvE. Stack counts, duration, and “how much Grenade / Melee” are missing-evidence on both pages — we do not invent them. Destinypedia Data Compendium is named by wewantdestiny3 as the place for exact values; we did not scrape it.
Current Patch — Monument of Triumph, Not “Moment”
Bungie Help, article “Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph and Update 9.7.0 Support Guide”: Update 9.7.0 launched June 9, 2026. After that date Destiny 2 receives no planned live-service content updates. Monument of Triumph stays in the game indefinitely. That is the patch this page is written against.
PlayerAuctions (Jun 15, 2026) titles their armor-bonus article “Moment of Triumph.” Same week, same set table, different word. We print Bungie’s name as the official one and leave PlayerAuctions’ title as a source label, not a second patch.
light.gg’s Season filter on the Coda set still lists Season 29. We do not invent a calendar name beyond what those two sources print.
