How to farm Corrosive Coins in Midnight
Corrosive Coins are the currency of the Vaults of Atal'Utek, the zone under the Coiled Isle. Public events pay most of them, and enemies inside drop more.
- Unlock the Vaults. Finish What Lies Beyond the Fog early in the Patch 12.1 campaign, then take Into the Vaults of Atal'Utek.
- Enter through a gate. The Gate of the Western Fang, the Gate of the Serpent's Eye and the Gate of the Eastern Fang all sit on the west side of the isle.
- Run the weekly
quest. Purging the Vaults asks for Vaults events and pays out on top of them. - Chain the big events. Finish a Temple Strike, and a Temple Incursion starts. Win the Incursion, and an Ancient Foe wakes up.
- Fill the gaps with Temple Patrols. They are quick solo jobs between the big events.
- Spend coins early. Each point of Spirit Corrosion from Er'inye makes later farming faster.

Vaults events and what each one pays
The Vaults run 4 kinds of public event. The harder the event, the bigger the coin bag.
| Event | Group | Reward bag | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temple Patrol | Solo, quick | A small handful of coins | Counts for the weekly |
| Temple Strike | Solo or a small group | 5 | |
| Temple Incursion | A party | 10 | |
| Ancient Foe | A party |
The Ancient Foe pays the most. It only wakes after a won Incursion, so the Strike, Incursion and Foe chain is the core of every farm.
The Altar of Corrosion: what the coins buy
Er'inye trades
Corrosive Coins for points of Spirit Corrosion. Each point costs more coins than the one before.
Altar of Corrosion powers. Spirit Corrosion unlocks bonuses inside the Vaults and on the Coiled Isle, such as less damage from venom pools and helpful spirits.- More coins. Spent points raise the coins you find, so early points pay for the later ones.
- Corroded Grounds. This Altar power lets you find coins while you gather herbs and ore around Atal'Utek.
- Corrosive Gifts. These combat powers work in the open world and in Delves. Dungeons,
raids and PvP leave them out.
Spare coins buy a
mount, pets, transmog and housing decor from the Skull of Er'inye, next to the Altar.

A weekly Corrosive Coins farm plan
- Day 1 of the week. Pick up Purging the Vaults and the daily
quests in the Vaults. - Join a group for the chain. A party clears the Incursion and the Ancient Foe far more reliably than a solo player.
- Turn coins into Spirit Corrosion. Spent points raise your coin income for the rest of the season.
- Gather on the way. With Corroded Grounds, every herb and ore node in the Vaults can add coins.
- Save for the big buys. Once the Altar is done, coins go to the
mount and the decor.
Season 2 started on 18 August 2026, 1 week after Patch 12.1 went live. More Season 2 goals sit on our Midnight Season 2 guide.
Where the Vaults lead next
The Coiled Isle also holds the Season 2
raid, The Venomous Abyss. Its 8 bosses end on Ula'tek. See our Midnight raid guide.

dungeon to the key pool. Our WoW Mythic+ guide covers the season.
