WoW Patch Notes 12.1.5: Kith'ix, Labyrinth, Venomstones and What's Next

Patch 12.1.5 went live on Tuesday 13 October 2026 in North America with weekly maintenance. European realms got it on Wednesday 14 October, after their own maintenance. It is the mid-season update for Midnight Season 2.

The new story, The Promise of Tomorrow, sends you back to Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman. It ends in the depths of the Coiled Isle against the C'Thraxxi general Kith'ix.

Kith'ix, the ancient foe of the Amani, lay bound in a lair beneath the Venomous Abyss. Ula'tek's defeat weakened those restraints. You face him with Lady Liadrin at your side.

• Difficulties: Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic.
• Mythic uses a flexible group of 15 to 25 players.
• Heroic and Mythic kills drop Ascendant Venomstones once the refresh opens in the week of 20 October.
• The fight closes the Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman story of Midnight.

A single boss makes Kith'ix a short weekly stop next to the full Venomous Abyss clear. Venomous Abyss tactics and Season 2 raid loot are in our Midnight raid guide.

The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is an Amani funeral complex in Eversong, north of Amani Pass. It plays like a Delve stretched over 9 chambers, with Valeera Sanguinar as your companion.

• Start with the quest from Kul'amara the Fierce at Tokka's Landing.
• Clear all 9 chambers in 1 session, or stop after any wing: a single wing still pays out, and every extra chamber adds more treasure.
• A Tier 11 solo challenge sits at the top end.
• Rewards include Mythic gear, cosmetics, titles and toys.
• The Fabled achievement Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan asks for a Tier 11 Kindo'jan kill with no other players in your party. It stays open 1 week longer, until the weekly maintenance in the week of 27 October in North America and Europe. Blizzard extended it after week-1 bugs hit Labyrinth runs.
• Clear all 9 chambers on Tier 8 or higher to face Kindo'jan, the master of the Labyrinth and a new Nemesis.
• There is no save point inside a run. A quick relog keeps your run, but a long logout resets the Labyrinth and you start again from outside. Plan 30 minutes or more for a full clear.

Aqir Invasions are zone-wide public events in Eversong or Zul'Aman. They run for 10 minutes each hour: a chain of events across the zone, then a boss fight.

Each invasion draws from 6 scenario types, 3 with combat and 3 without. Combat scenarios roll 1 of 8 affixes.

Void Protection	An Aqir Voidweaver can appear and shield every other aqir.
Aqir Burrower	Burrowing aqir knock nearby players into the sky.
Void Sphere	Roaming spheres try to trap players inside them.
Astalor's Anguish	Anguish Crystals hit aqir and any player caught in the blast.
Swarms!	Every aqir is replaced by swarms of smaller aqir.
Aqir Elites	Fewer aqir, each much stronger.
Void Infestation	Infested aqir explode a few seconds into combat and infect others.
Web Weavers	An Aqir Webweaver webs a player unless you interrupt its channel.

Rewards grow with every objective the crowd clears before the 10 minutes run out.

Blizzard's 23 October hotfixes fix the Ascendant Venomstone item level bug, 2 dungeon bosses, 2 classes and 2 smaller things:

• Items: items upgraded with Ascendant Venomstones now get the right item level.
• Dungeons: Nalorakk's Echoing Maul in the Den of Nalorakk no longer lands in the wrong place, and Nibbles' Fel Spray in Murder Row no longer hits players outside its area.
• Classes: Enhancement Shaman's Surging Elements shows on the Cooldown Manager. Warlock summons from Affliction's Shadows of Nath'reza, Demonology's Dominion of Argus and Diabolist, and Diabolic Occuli, no longer target enemies outside combat.
• Labyrinth and Hallow's End: shorter characters no longer fall through the floor when they respawn in Jan'alai's Refuge, and you can leave combat with the Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth in Neighborhoods.

Blizzard's 21 October hotfixes fix 5 Labyrinth things, 3 items and 1 Holy Priest spell:

• Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: you can hold up to 4 stacks of Carrying a Jan'alai Tear, up from 1. The lever that starts A Golden Opportunity works from level 80. Speak to Kinduru in the antechamber of De Empire's Rest to leave the Labyrinth during the Kindo'jan scenario. L00T RAID-R Minis work in a group inside the Labyrinth, and the Pit Boss in Returning the Bounty no longer despawns when it leaves combat.
• Items: the Seriously Sharp Seashell effect of Gebbo's Bottomless Bag no longer breaks stealth or invisibility, and Jan'thrazet, the Soul Fang triggers for healers from the start of combat. Nebulous Voidcache bonus roll previews now update as items join or leave the pool; a display fix only, the eligible items did not change.
• Holy Priest: Sanctified Ground on allies no longer interrupts channeled spells such as Divine Hymn.

Blizzard's 20 October hotfixes open the mid-season refresh a day early and change the PvP currency rules:

• Currencies: Mistcrests are uncapped. Conquest and Bloody Tokens are uncapped.
• Ascendant Venomstones drop once the quest Ascending with Venomstones is done.
• Spoils of War: Conquest gains rise by 50% and Honor gains by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas. The Venomous Equipment Chest is on sale from the Conquest quartermaster, Irissa Bloodstar.
• Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: Spirit Conduit Loa powers no longer work in the Kindo'jan fight, and the Fools and Curses scenario completes again. The Fabled achievement Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan runs to the weekly maintenance in the week of 27 October.
• Items: Ancient Hash'ey Battle Art glove enchantments now apply to Warbound Until Equipped items. The Void Eruption effect on Kith'ix's armor no longer hits targets you are not in combat with.
• Quests: the furbolgs for Not Quite Nalorakk are back, A Nebulous Endeavour credits Voidcores spent on any Season 2 bonus roll source, the Skardyn Behemoth in Draw Its Ire can be attacked again, and To Be Changed completes.

Blizzard's 16 October hotfixes for 12.1.5 fix the Labyrinth 8 more times and touch 2 raid and dungeon things:

• Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: the Pit Boss in the Returning the Bounty scenario spawns again. Valeera's Stagger works with a healer in the group, and Scar of Kathra'natir no longer hurts her more than intended. A rare fall through the map in the Speaker's Chamber is fixed. Creatures and bosses no longer scale their health and damage too high in a group. Sha'kuro's Soul Storm can no longer be interrupted before every Unfortunate Soul is down. L00T RAID-R Mini works more than once per run. The Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount and the Loa-Blessed Victory toy can be collected from Kinduru after the run if the Ancestral Bounty chest was left behind.
• Murder Row: each barrel in Murder in a Row now shows the radius of its safe zone, because a player has to stand closer to a barrel to be protected since the earlier fix.
• The Coiled Altar: the Watch Out Behind You achievement now completes for raid groups larger than 20.

The 15 October hotfixes fix the Labyrinth 3 more times and clean up 3 small things:

• Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: Sullied Revenant and Sha'Kuro reset to full health when the encounter fails. Impressive Treasure Chests, Piles and Troves now need level 80 to loot, down from 90. Scenario bosses give credit when you beat them a 2nd time in the same run.
• Mount Journal: faction-specific mounts show again on characters of the other faction.
• Quests: Battle for Azeroth quests no longer sit in the logs of characters that never did them, and the De Legend of de Hash'ey turn-in NPCs are back in Zul'Aman.

The 14 October hotfixes change 4 things you will notice:

• Ancient Hash'ey Battle Art: the enchantment's maximum item level rises to 344, up from 334. Its effects no longer fire outside delves and the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan.
• Dundun is back, hiding in Bountiful delves again.
• Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: the Kindo'jan fight now completes when Kindo'jan reaches 1 health, and a boss beaten a 2nd time in the same run now gives kill credit.
• Aqir Invasions: the final boss now rotates between its 3 types as intended.

Guardian and Restoration Druids got fixes too. Rebirth in Bear Form costs the right mana, and the Bear Form version of Heart of the Wild can be cast again. Persistence grants the right armor, and Nature's Bounty no longer drops Abundance early.

1. Week of 6 October (live now): take In the Catalyst's Shadow from Decimus in Voidstorm. Then take Prismatic Potential from Orin Straylight in Silvermoon City. After his research, Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst lets you trade gold, Voidlight Marl or Veteran Mistcrests for 1 extra Nebulous Voidcore a week.
2. Week of 13 October: Orin offers Ancient Depths, Ancient Venom and starts researching Venomstones.
3. Week of 20 October: Ascending with Venomstones unlocks Ascendant Venomstones, and the crest cap lifts.

Ascendant Venomstones drop from every Heroic or Mythic raid boss, Mythic+ keys at +10 and above, Tier 11 Bountiful Delves and Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests. Bring 10 to the Catalyst in Silvermoon City.

They raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero, Myth or top-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket or necklace.

Keystone Myth returns too. Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 needs a Mythic+ rating of 3600. It awards the title the Venomous Contender and the Timelost Saddle. Blizzard also tunes outlier dungeons when Keystone Myth returns.

10 classes get changes. The biggest are a Marksmanship talent swap, a Protection Warrior Execute buff and Devourer quality-of-life fixes.

Class	Main change
Demon Hunter	Devourer's Collapsing Star gains range once the cast starts and no longer goes on a 5s cooldown when cancelled. The Hunt and Eradicate move to the middle gate.
Druid	Restoration's Nature's Bounty is redesigned. Regrowth heals up to 3 allies with Rejuvenation for 15% of its healing.
Evoker	Scalecommander Melt Armor damage up 100%. Preservation's Merithra's Blessing drops to 30 seconds. Flameshaper's Consume Flame heals 20% more.
Hunter	Marksmanship loses Unload and gains Blood Fletching, a bleed window after an Aimed Shot critical strike.
Mage	Frost gets Splitting Ice and Shatter fixes. Spellslinger's Splinterstorm stays up when a raid encounter or Mythic+ key starts.
Monk	Transcendence: Transfer can no longer be used while silenced.
Priest	Discipline's Master the Darkness drops to 30 seconds. Holy's Ultimate Serenity moves up the tree.
Rogue	Outlaw's Deft Maneuvers now adds 5 Energy per target hit, up to 30. Subtlety Shadow damage bonuses now apply correctly.
Shaman	Restoration's Swelling Tides extends Riptide's timer. Healing Rain is instant again with Nature's Swiftness.
Warrior	Protection Execute damage up 30%. Colossus Practiced Strikes cuts Execute and Revenge Rage cost by 10.

Class tuning on 27 October. Blizzard tunes 5 classes with the weekly maintenance on 27 October:

• Druid: Feral deals 5% more damage. Restoration gets more dungeon healing: Verdancy heals 60% more, Regrowth 10% more, and Improved Swiftmend raises Swiftmend healing by 40% (was 30%).
• Hunter: Marksmanship gets more area damage. Trick Shots raises ricochet damage by 85% (was 75%), and Explosive Shot and Volley deal 10% more.
• Mage: Fire deals 5% more damage.
• Rogue: Subtlety loses 8% ability damage, and Trickster's Fazed drops to 5% (was 7%).
• Warlock: Unstable Affliction and Rain of Fire deal 20% more damage.

The same maintenance changes 11 specs in PvP only. Fire Mage loses 5% damage and San'layn Vampiric Strike 20%, while Holy Paladin heals 5% more and Marksmanship Kill Shot hits 40% harder.

• Prey catch-up: below rank 4, every hunt grants 4000 Journey progress, a full rank. Ranks 4 to 9 get 2000 from each of the week's opening 4 hunts.
• Afflicted and Tormented Souls now only work between hunts.
• Coordinates now show under the minimap, with an option to hide them.
• Raid frames can show animated ants or a pulsing overlay on a unit you can dispel.
• A new Pulse Your Health audio alert loops a sound below a health percentage you pick.
• Warband reputation: Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations are now shared across the warband.
• Glory of the Wartorn Hero no longer needs Snake Eyes, Snake Eater or Good Night, Sweet Prince.
• Housing: keybinds move between floors in floorplan mode, and stairwell blueprints export every connected floor.

Sporebearer Fungal Strider goes on sale in Harandar for 5 million gold. It carries a mailbox and a repair vendor. A Harandar vendor sells extra NPCs for it, such as an auctioneer or a transmogrifier. The mount is sold only for the rest of Midnight. Access to the swappable NPCs stays after that.

Hallow's End, the yearly Halloween festival, runs from 19 October to 2 November 2026, during patch 12.1.5. New this year: Candy Buckets across Quel'Thalas and a full holiday inside player housing neighborhoods.

• Neighborhood themes: each neighborhood gets 1 of 3 themes, Drustvar, Duskwood or Felwood. The theme sets your 3 candy daily quests from Nomi. Start with the quest A Haunted Home from a Holiday Enthusiast.
• Community Candy Crawl: a world quest for 15 minutes every hour in Founder's Point and Razorwind Shores. Collect 10 Neighborhood Candy from the buckets outside occupied plots for experience, 2 Tricky Treats and 3 Neighborhood Candy.
• Tricky Treat Traders swap Neighborhood Candy for Tricky Treats. The rate differs by neighborhood and changes every day, so compare before you trade.
• Decor: 12 holiday decor items sell for gold at Jolli Maxiboom in Razorwind Shores and Holly Twinklebright in Founder's Point. Echo in Undercity and Jack in Stormwind sell themed decor for Tricky Treats or gold.
• 7 new achievements, among them Tricks and Treats of Midnight for the Quel'Thalas buckets, Sweet Tooth for all 3 neighborhood themes, and A Frightening Friend, which rewards the Scarecrow Pepe decor.
• Queue for the Headless Horseman in the Dungeon Finder from level 10, every day. Each daily kill can drop the Headless Horseman's Ghoulish Charger Skyriding mount and always gives 1 piece of the 9-piece Ghoulish Armor transmog set, with no duplicates. 9 daily runs finish the set inside the event.
• The Ghoulish Great Blade, Blade and Bulwark cost 100 Tricky Treats each at the holiday vendors.
• Candy Buckets in inns across Azeroth still pay out Tricky Treats, and the Wickerman bonfire still gives its experience and reputation buffs.

The event closes on 2 November. The in-game calendar shows the exact hour for your realm.

Season 3 Shortly after Eclipse	A new Mythic+ pool, a new top 5% reward tier, spec-based top 1% and 5% rewards, and Astalor Bloodsworn as the new Delve Nemesis.

The Season 3 Mythic+ pool: Thraegar's Stand, The Underrot, Iron Docks, Sanguine Depths, The Stonecore, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Magisters' Terrace and Maisara Caverns.
