WoW Midnight Tier List (October 2026): Season 2 Specs for Keys and Raid

Blizzard opened Season 2 and Patch 12.1.0 on 18 August 2026. EU followed on 19 August. The raid is Venomous Abyss, 8 bosses. The Patch 12.1.5 date is 13 October in the Americas and 14 October in Europe. The Season 1 score ladder this page used to carry (Aug 4225 / Devourer 4206 / Unholy 4179) is closed.

What moved since 20 September. Blizzard shipped class tuning on 22 September, 1 October and 6 October. The 22 September pass was the largest. Its biggest numbers went to Frost Death Knight, Unholy Death Knight, Augmentation Evoker, Devastation, Fire Mage and Subtlety Rogue. It cut Blood Death Knight damage by 6% and buffed Death Strike by 15%. On 6 October Devourer gained 8 to 10% and Enhancement gained 4%. Unholy's Blightfall went back to 100% the same day.

The M+ letter list moved on 6 October to follow that tuning. It prints S+ as Elemental Shaman, Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue and Arms Warrior. Demonology Warlock is A+ on that list, down from S+ on 30 August. The older M+ list, read 28 August, still prints Demonology alone in S. Live M+ scores stay the 29 August snapshot: Arms 3555, Arcane 3541, Elemental 3522, Augmentation last at 2879. The live score host has shown a human-verification wall since that day.

Tank lists put Blood Death Knight alone in S. The 24 September tank update moved no letter. Healer lists put Holy Paladin in S on both. The 24 September healer update added Restoration Shaman to S and lifted Restoration Druid to A+. That is a crown move versus the Season 1 healer line this page used to print (Mistweaver Monk, Restoration Druid, Discipline Priest).

Raid letters come from 2 written raid lists. The newer list, 24 September, prints S as Demonology Warlock and Unholy Death Knight. The older list, 31 August, prints no S. Its top band is Arms, Arcane, Balance, Shadow, Destruction, Devastation, Subtlety and Fury. Race to World First comps can ignore pug letters; this page is for the invite you will actually get.

Mythic+ letters follow the newest M+ list, updated 6 October 2026 for the October class changes. Its S+ band is the S row here. Its S and A+ bands print as A. Its A and B bands print as B. Its C band prints as C. The 28 August list is printed as the split in each spec line.

Live M+ scores from 29 August stay as history. They explain where a spec started the season. No newer live score is printed because the score host still shows its human-verification wall.

Raid uses the 2 written raid lists from 31 August and 24 September. The newer list sets the letter. Its S is S, its A+ and A are A, its B is B and its C is C. The older list prints as the split.

Tanks and healers have 2 written lists each. Tank lists: 1 September and 24 September. Healer lists: 10 September and 24 September. Blood Death Knight and Holy Paladin are the only picks both lists put in S.

2 caveats. 1st, below +15 a well-played B spec clears a badly played S spec. 2nd, a Race to World First lockout is a different game from a pug +12.

A · Windwalker Monk. New on this board. S on the 6 October list. A on the 28 August list. The 22 September pass raised its auto attacks by 25% and Rising Sun Kick by 8%.

A · Devourer (Annihilator). A+ on the 6 October list. A on the 28 August list. Buffed on 22 September and again by 8 to 10% on 6 October.

A · Subtlety Rogue. A+ on the 6 October list. A on the 28 August list. Trickster's Unseen Blade went up 50% on 22 September and 15% more on 6 October.

A · Demonology Warlock. A+ on the 6 October list, down from S+ on 30 August. The 28 August list still prints it alone in S. Kept A.

A · Frost Death Knight. Up from C. A+ on the 6 October list. The 22 September pass doubled Frostreaper and raised Obliterate by 10%.

A · Beast Mastery Hunter. Up from B. A+ on the 6 October list.

B · Unholy Death Knight (Rider of the Apocalypse). Down from A. A on the 6 October list, down from A+ on 30 August. Blightfall went to 200% on 22 September and back to 100% on 6 October.

B · Survival Hunter (Pack Leader). Still A on the 6 October list; the October letter rule prints list A as B. Wildfire Bomb gained 20% on 22 September, and on 1 October that 20% periodic increase was extended to the variant that had missed it.

B · Enhancement Shaman. Still A on the 6 October list; the October letter rule prints list A as B. The 6 October pass added 4% to all damage and 35% to Lava Lash.

B · Havoc Demon Hunter, Fury Warrior, Balance Druid, Marksmanship Hunter. A on the 6 October list. Balance is up from C. Fury is C on the 28 August list.

B · Shadow Priest, Frost Mage, Destruction, Devastation, Affliction, Fire Mage. B on the 6 October list. Destruction and Devastation are up from C. Frost Mage is C on the 28 August list.

C · Augmentation Evoker (Scalecommander). C on both M+ lists. Live last at 2879 on 29 August. The 22 September pass raised Fire Breath by 60%, and the letter held.

Hero-spec note from the closed Season 1 table, kept as history: Scalecommander Aug peaked at 4225, Annihilator Devourer at 4206, Rider Unholy at 4179. Trickster Outlaw sat at 4148, tied with Colossus Arms at 4149 on that hero table. Outlaw is A on the October Season 2 board.

Raid flipped again. The 24 September raid list prints S as Demonology Warlock and Unholy Death Knight. The 31 August raid list prints no S, and both specs sit in its B band. The letters stay as a split. Arms, Arcane and Subtlety leave S. Arms and Arcane are A+ on the newer list and sit in the top band of the 31 August list.

Both roles have 2 written lists each. Tank list A, 1 September 2026: Blood Death Knight in S, then Vengeance, Guardian, Brewmaster in A, Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior in B. Tank list B, updated 24 September 2026 with no letter change: Blood Death Knight in S, Guardian and Brewmaster Monk in A+, Protection Warrior, Protection Paladin and Vengeance in A.

Blood Death Knight is the only tank both lists put in S. Guardian and Brewmaster Monk are the A+ pair on 1 list and A on the other. Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior are B on 1 list and A on the other. The 22 September pass cut Blood damage by 6%, buffed Death Strike by 15% and gave Protection Paladin 6% more. Brewmaster tuning landed on 6 October. No tank letter moved.

Holy Paladin is the only healer both lists put in S. Restoration Shaman is new to S on list B. Restoration Druid climbed from B to A+ on that list after a 4% healing buff on 22 September. Mistweaver Monk slipped from A+ to A on list B. Its 22 September healing buff did not lift it back. Its 6 October buff landed after that list update. Augmentation Evoker is the trap. Season 1 invites still remember 4225. Live M+ on 29 August was 2879 and last. It is C on both written M+ lists, even after the 22 September Fire Breath buff. A high personal parse in raid does not restore the invite.

Demonology Warlock is the other trap, in the other direction. The 28 August M+ list prints it alone in S. The 6 October M+ list dropped it from S+ to A+. Queue it in keys if the group wants the kit. In raid it is the opposite story: S on the 24 September raid list.

Unholy Death Knight is the swing spec of October. It is raid S on the newer raid list and B in M+ after Blightfall went back to 100% on 6 October. Gear it for raid 1st.

Frost Mage raid popularity from Season 1 is retired. Neither raid list puts it in S, and the older M+ list has it at C.

The Patch 12.1.5 date is 13 October in the Americas and 14 October in Europe. It brings the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, a 9-chamber Delve-style challenge. Venomous Abyss is 8 bosses. The dungeon pool is the Season 2 set on the Midnight Season 2 guide. Keystone Master sits near 2000 rating. Keystone Legend sits at 3000. Those rating gates are why the offer cards after the M+ chapter name 2000 and 3000, and why a raid card sits next to them for the 8-boss lock.

A well-played Protection Paladin still tanks a 12. A well-played Restoration Shaman still heals a 12. The S chips name the invite you will get in a pug, and the A chips name the specs that still clear the timer.
