The July 2026 Meta at a Glance
Four specs define the top of Mythic+ right now: Augmentation Evoker (Scalecommander), Devourer Demon Hunter (Annihilator), Unholy Death Knight (Rider of the Apocalypse), and Arms Warrior (Colossus). All four have runs at +24 or higher; three of them broke +25. Live Archon hero-spec scores (July 15, post July 14 US weekly reset): Aug 4,225 · Devourer 4,206 · Unholy 4,179 · Arms Colossus 4,149.
Raid tells a different story on Archon's popularity metric (VS/DR/MQD mythic, all bosses — still the July 11 live interact baseline, unchanged by the July 14 QoL hotfixes): Frost Mage (167.0K) and Unholy Death Knight (161.8K) sit alone in S-tier. Demonology Warlock (162.5K) and Devourer DH (169.4K raw) are A-tier on popularity despite strong throughput — guilds still bring them, but the popularity S-band is narrower than older secondary writeups claimed. Unholy DK remains the safest two-column main.
Context: Patch 12.1 campaign Chapter 1 ("Legacy of the Amani") is already live in 12.0.7 as prep for The Curse of Ula'tek. Season 2 (new raid The Venomous Abyss + refreshed M+ pool) is still pending full launch — community timing points to mid-August, but treat exact week as uncertain until Blizzard posts the date. July 14–15 PTR notes continue class/tier-set tuning for 12.1 only — they do not change live Season 1 DPS. Everything below is the late-S1 live picture.
How These Rankings Work
Mythic+ rankings use Archon.gg's Mythic+ Score — a composite pulled from the official Blizzard leaderboard. Filter state inspected live July 15, 2026: Role=DPS · Content=Mythic+ · Levels=+7 to +24 · Dungeon=All Dungeons · window=last 14 days · Total Parses=2,753,177 (parse volume dipped after the July 14 US weekly reset as the rolling 14-day window turned over). Score beats raw DPS because it folds in utility, survivability, and timing contribution. DPS figures are 95th-percentile at each spec's max key. Raid rankings use Archon mythic VS/DR/MQD popularity tier (not pure throughput) so utility specs are not punished for bringing buffs.
Two honest caveats. First, below +15 a well-played B-tier beats a badly played S-tier. Second, hero-spec samples vary: Deathstalker Assassination (~868 parses) and Wildstalker Feral (~935) can look S-adjacent on score while remaining experimental. We flag sample sizes where they change the read. Secondary sites (U.GG raw-DPS boards, buyboost week-16, koroboost) lag or remix older windows — live Archon Mythic+ Score wins on conflicts.
Mythic+ DPS Tier List — Patch 12.0.7
Data window: Archon live July 15, 2026 (post July 14 US weekly reset) — keys +7 to +24 (max key column still shows +25 where achieved), 2.75M parses. Spec scores are 95th-percentile Archon Mythic+ Score; DPS at max key. Hero-spec S-band leaders shown in the strip:
| Tier | Spec (hero build) | Score | Max key | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 4,200 | +25 | 237K | |
| S | 4,144 | +25 | 234K | |
| S | 4,118 | +25 | 237K | |

Hero-spec note: Scalecommander Aug peaks at 4,225 / 241K, Annihilator Devourer at 4,206 / 241K, Rider Unholy at 4,179 / 246K. Trickster Outlaw (4,148) sits essentially tied with Colossus Arms (4,149) on the hero table but Outlaw remains A at the full-spec aggregate — skill floor and parse volume still matter. Below ~+20 the A-tier is dense; comp fit beats the label.

Raid DPS Tier List — Mythic Parses
Raid flips the board. Archon mythic VS/DR/MQD (all bosses, Patch 12.0.7, 728,734 parses, popularity metric — July 11 live interact; unchanged by July 14 QoL hotfixes; M+ board refreshed July 15):
| Tier | Spec | Mythic parse DPS | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 167.0K | Popularity S — consistent ST + Bloodlust | |
| S | 161.8K | Popularity S — safest two-column main | |

Tanks and Healers: The Short Version
This page is DPS-first because that is where the tier gaps are widest, but the top of the other two roles is stable enough to state plainly.
Tanks: ![]()
Brewmaster Monk and
Guardian Druid lead high-key discussions into late S1 (Archon tank board cites Guardian near the top of the score band in deep-research synthesis). ![]()
Protection Paladin stays close on utility. Treat exact tank order as more fluid week-to-week than DPS S-tier.
Healers: ![]()
Mistweaver Monk, ![]()
Restoration Druid, and ![]()
Discipline Priest split the crown by affix week. Deep-research also surfaces Resto Shaman as a strong A-band option. For routes and talent flexing, see our Mythic+ guide.

Popularity Traps, Sleepers, and Specs to Avoid
The popularity trap: Retribution Paladin. Templar Ret still has enormous parse volume (~317K M+ parses, 11.8% popularity) while sitting mid-A on score (3,897) — not S. If you are pushing score and open to a swap, that gap is free rating.
Sleepers: Deathstalker Assassination Rogue (hero score 4,068 on ~868 parses) and Wildstalker Feral (4,146 on ~935 parses) print S-adjacent numbers on tiny samples. Promising — not settled. Wait for volume before maining a reforge around them.
Avoid list: Devastation Evoker remains bottom C (~3,414 score, 159K DPS). Aug is the Evoker. Frost DK, Destruction, and Balance sit in the C band on the live board — each has a same-class alternative that clears higher.
Season 2 Is Coming: What Happens to This Tier List
Patch 12.1 (The Curse of Ula'tek) is on PTR with live prep already shipping: Wowhead confirms Chapter 1 of the 12.1 campaign is available early in 12.0.7 ("Legacy of the Amani"), and PTR feedback threads for The Venomous Abyss (Normal/Mythic) are open. Community timing still converges on mid-August 2026 for the full Season 2 cutover — exact week unconfirmed until Blizzard publishes it.
When Season 2 lands, this page resets: new raid parses, new M+ pool (community lists still cite Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, King's Rest, Temple of Sethraliss, Ruby Life Pools — verify against the patch notes when they ship), and a balance pass that already shows cooldown-impact nerfs on PTR.
