What Rank Is Top 10% / 5% / 1% / 0.1%?
Quick read off the vstats Act 4 Cumulative filter (PC, all regions, Jul 15 scrape — not RR leaderboard cutoffs, which vary by region):
| Percentile | Rank floor (vstats Act 4) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Top 10% | Diamond 2 cumulative ≈ top 10.8% | |
| Top 5% | Ascendant 1 cumulative ≈ top 5.3% | |

Average Valorant Rank — Why the Median Sits in Silver/Gold
Median (vstats Act 4, Jul 15 Cumulative): about
Silver 3 — Silver 3’s bottom-up cumulative is ~49.9%, so half the ladder is at/below that line.
valking.gg (Jul 15) also reports median
Silver III. Treat the answer as Silver 3 (with early
Gold 1 still near the 50th), not a single locked division forever — early-Act samples keep shifting.
Why not Immortal fantasies? Ranked is a bell-ish mound: ~65% of players are Bronze–Gold combined. High ranks are a thin right tail — Diamond+ is only ~14.7% of the Act 4 sample, Ascendant+ ~5.3%, Immortal+ ~0.8%.
Is Gold good? Yes for most pubs — you are already at/above the median. Platinum is roughly top ~29%; Diamond is top ~15%.
How Ranked Works in V26 Act 4 (Short)
Act window: V26 Act 4 started with Riot patch 13.00 (Jun 23, 2026) — Summit map in Competitive, Sentinel buffs, Initiator signature CD 60s→50s, RR calculation tweaks so consistent winners feel less stuck, and matchmaking that keeps team average ranks within ~1 sub-tier.
Reset policy: Since Season 2025, Riot resets ranks twice a year (season open + midseason) — confirmed on Esports Tales calendar. Act 4 is the midseason act. Official Instagram reel (Jun) states rank-reset adjustments “starting Act 4 on June twenty-fourth”; community consensus calls Act 3→4 a hard reset. Patch notes themselves emphasize RR/MMR tweaks, not the word “hard reset.”
RR still driven by: win/loss, round diff, performance bonus, and MMR convergence (RiotEvrMoar facts archived on Esports Tales). ~20–40 games to converge rank toward MMR for most players.
