• From junctions. The Mercury Junction gives Howl of the Kubrow. The Phobos Junction gives Stolen Dreams, and The New Strange follows it. The Saturn Junction gives The Deadlock Protocol.
• After main quests. The Waverider follows Vox Solaris. Octavia's Anthem and The Silver Grove follow The Second Dream. The Glast Gambit follows The War Within, and Veilbreaker follows The New War.
• Rank gates. The Silver Grove needs Mastery Rank 7. Sands of Inaros needs Mastery Rank 5 and a quest key from Baro Ki'Teer. Mask of the Revenant opens at rank 2, Observer, with The Quills.

Prologue to Tau went live on 15 October 2026. It needs The Hex and The Old Peace.

It is a permanent main quest that stays after the event ends. Its chapters so far are Lua and Vessel.

Epoch Operation: Taubound runs from 15 October to 17 November 2026. Anyone who has finished Vor's Prize can reach Eris and collect Moonflesh.

The event and the quest are separate. Moonflesh needs only Vor's Prize, and the Prologue to Tau chapters wait in your Codex.

1. Clear junctions as you go. The Mercury Junction gives Once Awake. The Mars Junction gives The Archwing and Heart of Deimos. The Neptune Junction gives The Second Dream, and the Pluto Junction gives The War Within.
2. Play The Duviri Paradox early if you like. The Uranus Junction gives it before The New War. The Hex needs it, so finish it before Arc 4.
3. Take Jade Shadows after The New War. Jade Shadows: Constellations follows it, and it is a solo quest.
4. Finish The Lotus Eaters before The Old Peace. That quest gives Uriel, and the Uriel guide covers his parts.
5. Finish the quest-locked nodes. The Steel Path needs every Star Chart node before The New War, and some of those nodes sit behind quests. The Steel Path guide lists the unlock steps.
