The short answer
Launch day is the story. Rockstar wrote it in plain language: Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience, coming 19 November 2026 to PlayStation 5 and 
Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation lists the same product as a 1-player game with offline play enabled.
Online is a later product. Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 Online date. It has not published a feature list. It has not published whether Lucia, Jason, cash, cars, or property move from the campaign into a later online mode. Anyone selling a launch-week Online schedule is guessing.
Book story completion or coaching for the campaign you can play on 19 November. Leave Online until Rockstar dates it.

That membership belongs to the current GTA Online. It does not date a GTA 6 Online.
The campaign is long and spoiler-dense. Plan the story you want finished in week 1. Do not plan a GTA 6 Online grind until Rockstar publishes that product.

What the GTA+ line actually is
Digital pre-orders include 1 month of GTA+. That membership is the current GTA Online subscription. PlayStation and Rockstar Support both say so. Redeem by 31 March 2027. The offer ends when Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026.
Read it as a current-game perk bundled with a new-game pre-order. It does not date a GTA 6 Online. It does not prove character transfer. It does not prove a cash store for the new game.
If you already have GTA+ on GTA Online, the extra month stacks on that membership. If you do not, you still receive the month on the current Online. Either way, the campaign you boot on 19 November stays single-player.
What we will update when Rockstar speaks
This page updates when Rockstar publishes any of the following:
- A GTA 6 Online date
- A statement that Online ships with the campaign, or after it
- A transfer policy for characters, cash, cars, or property
- A PC SKU or a PC date
