Status check: trophies still unpublished (July 2026)
Before any Platinum roadmap, the ground truth as of July 11, 2026:
- Official list: Rockstar has not published GTA 6 trophies or Xbox achievements. TrueAchievements and GTABase (updated June 14, 2026) both state the list is TBA.
- Release: November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — confirmed on Rockstar Newswire (Nov 6, 2025). No PC at launch.
- Launch product: single-player campaign starring Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval in Leonida / modern Vice City. Online timing is TBA.
- Preload: digital pre-orders can preload from November 12, 2026 (not early access — see early-access guide).
- Leak claims: viral “58 trophies” screenshots from 2025 are unconfirmed — treat as rumor until platform stores or Rockstar ship a real list.

GTA V platinum precedent (the honest yardstick)
Until GTA 6’s list exists, the only honest time estimate is Rockstar’s last major open-world platinum. Numbers below are for Grand Theft Auto V, not GTA 6:
| Source / metric | Figure | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| PSNProfiles guide | ~60h · Diff 6/10 · ~59 trophies | Estimated time to Platinum (guide meta) |
| Community range | 60–100h+ | Thorough SP completionists; Online-heavy plats push higher |
| Main story only | ~25–35h | Campaign endings — not a full Platinum |
| 100% SP checklist | ~60–80h+ | Story + side missions + collectibles (platform-dependent) |
Prediction for GTA 6 (labeled expectation): denser Leonida map + dual protagonists → expect at or above the GTA V band for a full Platinum — budget a multi-week project, not a weekend. This is pattern-matching, not a Rockstar hour count.
What a Rockstar Platinum usually requires (expectation)
Nothing below is confirmed for GTA 6. GTA V, RDR2, and prior GTA titles share a clear template:
- S Finish the main story — every mission, both protagonists’ arcs (Lucia + Jason).
- A Clear side activities — strangers, side hustles, random encounters.
- A Collect every collectible set — GTA V’s letter scraps / spaceship parts style grind; denser Leonida likely means more hours, not fewer (see map guide).
- B Stunt / challenge feats — jumps, under-par scores, gold medals on select missions.
- B Minigames — darts, tennis, arm wrestling, and whatever Vice City adds.
GTABase’s historical comparison (GTA V ~51 trophies incl. Platinum; RDR2 ~52) suggests a substantial list — not a story-only set. When the real list ships, this section will map requirement → trophy 1:1.

Platinum vs 100% vs story — pick the goal that fits
| Goal | What it usually means | Time vibe (GTA V-like) | LFCarry path |
|---|---|---|---|
| Story completion | Campaign ending(s), skip most side content | ~30h | Story completion |
| 100% completion | Story + side missions + collectible checklist | ~60–80h+ | 100% completion |
| Platinum / 1000G | Every trophy / achievement — often includes minigames & extras beyond the 100% meter | ~60–100h+ | Platinum track |
| Collectibles only | One or all pickup sets, without full checklist | Varies by set | Collectibles boost |
| Minigames only | Activity trophies without full Platinum | Usually short | Minigame mastery |
100% and Platinum overlap heavily but are not identical — some platforms attach Online or challenge trophies a single-player 100% meter does not require. Once GTA 6’s real list ships, this table maps directly to it.
Collectibles boost →If your bottleneck is map pickups — not the story — a collectibles-focused run is usually the highest ROI.
Collectibles & minigames: the usual time sinks
Expectation, based on prior Rockstar games: the slowest part of a Platinum run is rarely the story — it is finding every collectible and clearing every minigame the checklist demands. In GTA V that meant scouring the map for scattered pickups and beating activities most players never touch voluntarily.
If Leonida is the denser wetland-and-city mix trailers suggest, expect collectible hunting to eat more hours than GTA V, not fewer. That is exactly where a checklist-driven pro saves the most time — not because it is hard, but because missing one item at hour 70 is brutal.

Time budget reality (prediction, clearly marked)
Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 hour count for story, 100%, or Platinum. Using GTA V as the yardstick:
- Confirmed (GTA V only): PSNProfiles ~60h platinum estimate; community reports commonly land in the 60–100h band for a thorough single-player-heavy plat.
- Prediction (GTA 6): dual protagonists + larger world → plan for the high end of that band or above for full Platinum. Multi-week calendar, not a weekend binge.
- Unknown: whether Online trophies ship at launch or later — Online-gated plats (GTA V style) can add large optional hours.
We will replace this section with measured times once the list and review copies exist.
