The Roll, Up Front
If you only read one line: chase Rewind Rounds in the third column and Kinetic Tremors in the fourth. Those are the two perks the community has converged on, and the gap over the alternatives is not close.
| Column | Chase | Equipped on | Runner-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Barrel | Arrowhead Brake | 19.0% | Corkscrew Rifling (15.4%) |
| Magazine | Accurized Rounds | 21.5% | Tactical Mag (21.3%) |
| Trait 1 | Rewind Rounds | 56.6% | Ancillary Ordinance (11.8%) |
| Trait 2 | Kinetic Tremors | 37.0% | Bait and Switch (19.8%) |
| Origin | Elliptical Orbit | 100% | — (fixed) |
Source: light.gg equipped-perk distribution for the Holofoil version specifically (item hash 4278664152), across 29,700+ tracked copies, read 6 Aug 2026. light.gg indexes the Holofoil, the standard S29 Monument drop and the original S1 Red War weapon as three separate items with separate perk stats, so figures quoted elsewhere for “Alone as a God” may differ — check which version they cover. Percentages are share of copies running that perk in that column, so a column adds to 100% across all its options — not a tier score.
Note what the spread tells you. The barrel and magazine columns are nearly flat — 19% versus 15% is noise, and it means those slots barely matter. The trait columns are not flat at all: one perk on more than half of all copies is the community telling you it changed how the gun plays.
Why Rewind Rounds Sits on More Than Half of Them
Alone as a God is a Rapid-Fire Frame: 140 RPM, a 6-round magazine, deeper ammo reserves, and a faster reload when the magazine runs empty. Six rounds is the whole problem. A rapid-fire sniper fires quickly enough that you empty the mag mid-encounter, and the reload is what kills your damage window.
Rewind Rounds refills the magazine from reserves based on hits you have already landed — so hitting your shots is what loads the next set. It removes the exact weakness of the frame. That is why 56.6% of copies run it while no other option in the column clears 12%: it is not a preference, it is the frame's missing piece.
The deeper reserves on the Rapid-Fire Frame make this better here than on a slower sniper, because the perk has more ammo to pull from before you actually go dry.

The Fourth Column Is the Real Decision
The third column is basically settled. The fourth is where your choice depends on what you are doing, and the usage split shows a community genuinely divided along activity lines.
| Perk | Equipped on | Run it for |
|---|---|---|
| Kinetic Tremors | 37.0% | General PvE. Sustained hits on a target trigger a shockwave, which turns a single-target sniper into something that clears the adds standing near your target. |
| Bait and Switch | 19.8% | Raid and boss DPS. Requires damage from all three weapons in a short window, so it only pays inside a rehearsed damage rotation — and pays a lot there. |
| Aggregate Charge | 17.7% | Ability-focused builds, where the weapon feeds the subclass rather than the other way round. |
| Adhesive Ordnance | 9.9% | Niche. Not worth re-farming for. |
Practical read: if you run one sniper and want it to be useful in every activity, take Kinetic Tremors. If this weapon exists in your vault purely for boss damage in a coordinated fireteam, Bait and Switch is the higher ceiling — and the reason nearly a fifth of players keep a second copy.
Barrel, Magazine and Masterwork: Where Not to Waste a Re-Roll
Masterwork usage is the clearest signal in the whole dataset, because it shows a community with no consensus: Range 10.9%, Reload Speed 10.8%, Handling 10.6%, Stability 10.5%. Four options within half a percentage point of each other means nobody has found one that matters. Take whatever the drop gives you.
Same story in the first two columns. Arrowhead Brake at 19.0% edges out Corkscrew Rifling at 15.4% and Chambered Compensator at 14.0%; in the magazine, Accurized Rounds (21.5%), Tactical Mag (21.3%) and Appended Mag (20.2%) are a three-way tie. None of these is worth deleting a roll that already has the traits you want.
The one mod worth naming is Backup Mag, on 30.1% of copies — the single most-used mod on the weapon, and consistent with everything above: on a 6-round rapid-fire sniper, players spend every available slot on ammo.
PvP: Read the Stat Line Before You Farm
The manifest stats are Impact 55, Range 33, Stability 36, Handling 66, Reload Speed 61, Aim Assistance 79, Zoom 45, Recoil 57, Airborne Effectiveness 2.
Aim Assistance 79 is genuinely high and is why this weapon had a PvP reputation in its original Red War run. But two numbers cut against it now: Range 33 is low for a duelling sniper, and Airborne Effectiveness 2 is close to the floor, which punishes exactly the mid-air peek-shooting that modern Crucible rewards.
Honest verdict: it is a comfortable sniper to hit shots with and a poor one to win range duels with. The perk pool reinforces that — the fourth column is stacked with PvE perks, and the PvP-leaning options (Lone Wolf at 4.4%, Lucky Shot at 5.6%) are the least-used perks on the gun. Farm this one for PvE. If you want a Crucible sniper, this is not the chase.
Where It Drops, and Why It Is Back
Alone as a God originally shipped in Season 1 — The Red War. The version people are farming now is the Holofoil reissue from Season 29 — Monument of Triumph, and unlike the original it is eligible for random rolls.
That is the whole reason the search interest came back. The old version was a fixed-roll relic; the S29 reissue drops with a modern pool containing Rewind Rounds, Kinetic Tremors and Bait and Switch — perks that did not exist when the weapon was first released. A returning name with a current-season perk pool is a new weapon in everything but the title.
Because it is a Monument of Triumph weapon, acquisition runs through that track rather than through a single farmable activity, which is why targeted farming is harder here than for a normal world-drop sniper.
Farm the Roll, or Have It Farmed
Two honest paths. The roll you want is a specific third-and-fourth column pair out of seven options each, so the arithmetic is unkind even before barrel and magazine preferences — and this is a Monument weapon, so you cannot simply grind one playlist at it.
If you have the hours, run the Monument track and keep every copy with Rewind Rounds until the fourth column cooperates. If you do not, our PROs farm the source until the exact roll drops, and you name the perks.
