Destiny 2 Anarchy Catalyst: Where It Drops + 500 Kills

Where the Anarchy catalyst drops

The Anarchy catalyst is a random drop. 3 sources can roll it.

  • Ops playlists. PvE Ops completions on the Director can drop it. Crucible Ops and Gambit Ops count too.
  • Exotic Orders. Exotic Order payouts at the Seasonal Hub can pay it out.
  • The Pantheon. Insurrection Prime is the encounter most players farm for it. The Pantheon guide covers the boss lineups.

Anarchy itself comes from the Exotic Archive at the Tower. Get the gun 1st if it is missing from your Collection.

Once the catalyst drops, slot it into the catalyst socket on Anarchy. The kill counter starts there.

The Anarchy catalyst, dropped on your account

A PRO plays the playlists until the catalyst drops, then clears the 500-kill tracker. The gun itself has its own card.

What the catalyst adds: Jolting Feedback

The catalyst gives Anarchy the Jolting Feedback perk. In the game's words: dealing repeated damage with this weapon inflicts Jolt. While amplified, Jolt is applied faster.

Anarchy already deals repeated damage by design. Each grenade sticks, then ticks. So every trap you place starts chaining Jolt through the pack around it.

The frame perks stay the same:

  • Arc Traps. Grenades stick to surfaces and chain Arc bolts to other mines.
  • Impromptu Ammunition. Final blows increase ammo meter progress from all sources for a short time.

Impromptu Ammunition replaced Moving Target in Update 9.7.0. It turns Anarchy kills into faster heavy ammo for the whole loadout.

Why Anarchy is worth the catalyst again

Update 9.7.0 rebuilt Anarchy around its traps.

  • Armed trap lifetime rose 50%, from 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Trap damage against combatants rose 30%.
  • Trap detonation damage against combatants doubled.

Bungie's reasoning was plain. Once Finality's Auger arrived, Anarchy had lost its role as a trap system. The buff gives it that role back.

In practice, traps on a boss keep ticking while you swap to a primary. The catalyst adds Jolt on top, so the same traps also clear adds around the boss.

How to finish the 500 kills fast

The catalyst counts targets defeated with Anarchy. The goal is 500. Any target counts, so dense rooms beat boss fights.

  • Pick a low difficulty. Adds die to a single trap, and every trap chains to the next.
  • Stack heavy ammo. Impromptu Ammunition refunds ammo meter progress on each kill, so the loop feeds itself.
  • Place traps at spawn doors. A stuck grenade waits 15 seconds for the wave to walk into it.
  • Run it in a fireteam. Waves die faster, so the next room opens sooner.

Counting stops at 500. After that, Anarchy is masterworked and the catalyst stats are live.

Every other catalyst and its unlock sits on the exotic catalyst list.

Getting the Anarchy catalyst with LFCarry

The random drop is the slow part. A Pro plays the playlists on your account until the catalyst lands, then finishes the 500 kills.

  • Catalyst only. For players who already own Anarchy.
  • Anarchy itself. For players who still need the gun.
  • Custom farming. For any other grind on the same account, priced by the hour.

Each card prints its live price. Already part way through the kills? Name the number on your counter in the chat.

From the source

BungieOfficial

“Anarchy: Increased armed trap lifetime 50% from 10 to 15 seconds. Increased trap damage versus combatants by 30%. Doubled trap detonation damage vs combatants. Replaced Moving Target with Impromptu Ammunition.”

BungieOfficial

“Once Finalities Auger was released, Anarchy felt like it no longer had a place as a "point defense, trap system". So, we are amping up its traps capabilities.”
