Apex Legends LFG: Find Teammates for Ranked, Duos & Trios (Season 30)

Apex's own social tools stop at the friends list. EA Help's squad-up page (How to add friends for Apex Legends cross-play, read 20 September 2026) explains how to add a friend by EA Public ID. Cross-play is on by default across the EA app, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2. That page does not give you a place to say “Plat II, EU, mic, tonight”. That part happens outside the game, in the 5 channels below. Counts were read on 20 September 2026 unless a row says otherwise. Every channel is free. The last row is ours.

What each channel actually gives you:

• Official Apex Legends Discord. Global, Discord voice. 866,382 members, 168,008 online. Partnered. LFG is a declared server trait. The biggest room by far. A post without specifics scrolls past in minutes.
• r/ApexLFG. Global, text posts then DMs. New posts were landing on 20 September 2026 (25 fresh threads in the 2 hours to 22:58 UTC). Every post stays searchable for days. Good for “stable duo, weekday evenings” asks.
• Public LFG board. Global filter. No mic field. You add yourself and the board shows your Rank Score, Level and Kills next to what you want to play. This is the 1 channel where the rank is verified by a profile rather than typed by the poster.
• GameTree. Global, Discord voice. A team-finder app with a profile match. Its Discord is the LFG room, 27,422 members, 3,906 online. Smaller and slower than the official server. Better for long-term duo asks.
• Xbox Looking for Group. Xbox network. The console-native route: an LFG post on the Xbox network, documented on Xbox Support (page reachable 20 September 2026). A matching PlayStation support page returned 404 on the last read, so PlayStation players use the Discords above.
• LFCarry teammate search. Your region, your language. Up to 3 candidate intros in 24 hours, matched to your rank band, legends, language and region. We message candidates. You wait for them to write. If nobody matches in 48 hours, the plan's price returns as store credit. The price is on the plan page.

2 things every free channel shares. The rank is self-declared everywhere except the public board, so “Diamond” in a Discord post means whatever the poster wants it to mean. And every successful thread ends the same way: an EA Public ID exchange and a friend request. That is the only way Apex itself lets you party up. Have your ID ready before you post.

Pick the room by how fast you need a reply tonight. The official Discord fills a “right now” ask in minutes if the 1st line has platform, rank and region. r/ApexLFG is the room for a weekday-evening duo you will keep. The public board is the room when you want the rank printed by a profile. GameTree is the room when you want a profile match and you can wait. Xbox Looking for Group is the room if you already live on the Xbox network. LFCarry teammate search is the room when you would rather type the 7 fields once and let someone else do the posting.

2 servers, on purpose. These are the only Apex LFG Discords whose member counts were read from Discord itself on 20 September 2026. Server directories list hundreds of Apex LFG cards. Most of them are regional teams, multi-game hangouts or storefronts. A card with no live invite is a room we will not send you to.

How to vet any other server in 60 seconds. Open the invite page before you join. The online-to-member ratio is the pulse (about 19% for the official server and 14% for GameTree today). A Community or Partnered badge means Discord has looked at it. LFG channels split by platform and region mean the server takes matchmaking seriously. A channel named “boosting”, “accounts” or “recoveries” is the exit sign. Those sell access to your account, which EA's Positive Play Charter prohibits outright. If what you actually want is a stronger player in your squad, the version that keeps your account yours is a verified Master in your own trio.

Voice versus text. The official Discord and GameTree both have voice. That is the 1 reason a “right now” ranked fill still starts there. r/ApexLFG and the public board are text. Use them when you can wait for a DM. A voice room that answers in 3 minutes still needs the EA Public ID exchange before you load in. Keep that ID on the clipboard so the reply does not die in the friend-request step.

An LFG post is a filter. The people who answer are matching you against 7 things, in this order. The public board prints 5 of them next to every name. Our own intake asks for the same 5 (rank, mains, language, region, when you queue) plus legends and vibe. Put them in the 1st line.

1. Platform and input. PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2, and controller or mouse. Cross-play is on by default, so platform is about voice chat and comfort. Eligibility is already solved. People still filter on it 1st.
2. Rank and division now, and where you want to be. “Plat III → Diamond” tells a reader more than 3 sentences about your K/D. Rank is the 1 field everyone applies before reading further.
3. Mode and squad size. Ranked or pubs, trios or duos, Mixtape if that is the point tonight. A ranked post that does not say “ranked” gets pubs replies.
4. Region, hours and timezone. “EU, 20:00–23:00 CEST tonight” or “NA West, weekends”. Most dead threads die here: 2 people who both want a duo and are never online at the same time.
5. Mic and language. Say which languages you will actually call in.
6. The legends you play and the role you fill. 1 line, so the reader knows whether you overlap. Our Season 30 tier list is the shared vocabulary.
7. The vibe. Chill or serious, and how long you plan to play. Set expectations before the 1st hot drop.

What kills a post: “anyone?” with no rank, no hours or no platform; a Discord handle and nothing else; a rank higher than your profile shows (the public board exposes it, and a duo finds out in 1 game). What keeps a thread alive: 1 post per LFG channel, a repost after an hour if nobody bit, and a DM with your EA Public ID to whoever answers. Friends are added by ID, so the exchange is the finish line.

If writing the post is the part you keep putting off, tell the LFCarry assistant the same 7 things and it does the searching and the messaging for you (Teammate search).

Duos. 2 roles have to cover the whole fight: one of you needs mobility for the reposition, the other needs the heal, the scan or the shield that lets you reset. Agree who calls before the 1st drop. The pair has to disengage. Winning 2v2s is not enough on its own. The 3rd squad is always coming.

Trios. Name the in-game leader on the drop ship and let that person lose an argument once in a while. A trio that debates rotations mid-zone is a trio that dies in the open. Split the comms: 1 player calls rotations and zone, 1 player calls enemies and cracks, 1 player keeps count of squads left.

Ranked. RP is shared pain. Agree the drop spot and the stop time before the 1st match (“3 games or the 1st losing streak, whichever comes 1st”), and say out loud that tilt ends the session. A ranked squad that plays through frustration loses more RP in game 4 than it gained in games 1 to 3. Never promise a friend 2 tiers below you a carry until you have read the next paragraph.

Pubs. Pubs are the tryout. 2 or 3 pubs with a stranger tell you more about mic discipline and drop habits than any LFG post. Treat them as the screen before you queue ranked together.

The Season 30 facts that matter for a squad

• Season 30 “Marked” went live on 4 August 2026 (Marked Patch Notes, published 3 August 2026): “get ready to group up, gear up, and dive into MARKED.” The same notes announce beefed-up servers across all regions.
• Premade rank spread is under review. In Season 29 EA ran 2 matchmaking tests, “1-Tier Premade Restrictions” and “Diamond+ Solo-Queue-Only”, and writes that it is “actively analyzing and evaluating the data from these tests” with a results blog to follow. The name of the 1st test says what was being tested: how far apart the ranks in a premade may be. Until that blog lands, keep your LFG asks within a tier of your own rank. A squad built that way survives whichever rule ships.
• Ranked Ladders now run 5 days. “extended to 5 days, to allow for more opportunities to compete and increase your standing.” A squad that can commit 5 consecutive evenings is worth more than 1 great session. Ask for the week.
• Split 2 is live. Season 30 Split 2 started on 15 September 2026. The Predator trio table below is the Split 2 sample. Check the Ranked tab in game before you plan a final-week push.

The clean read on “which legends work together” is who wins with whom at the top. Season 30 Split 2 Predator meta, 781 tracked Predators, 28,429 appearances, day 5 since 15 September 2026, rebuilt 19 September 2026 21:01 PDT. Most-seen trios, with the average RP they gain per game:

What that says about a duo. Loba sits in 5 of those 6 most-seen Predator trios. Axle sits in 5 of the 6. If you are looking for exactly 1 partner, that pair is the core the top of the ladder has settled on: one of you plays Loba, the other Axle, and whoever fills your 3rd flexes between Pathfinder, Vantage and Seer. Axle · Loba · Vantage is the highest-earning common trio at +76.9 RP over 488 games. Loba · Pathfinder · Revenant prints +84.7 RP over 128 games. Read the small-n rows as a hint.

Below Gold the board flips. Octane is still a common Bronze and Silver pick and decays at Predator (2.9% of the Split 2 Pred sample). Pred comps assume Pred rotations. If you and your duo are climbing out of Silver, pick for the lobby you are in. The full S/A/B/C board by rank band is in the Season 30 tier list.

How many people sit at each rank decides how fast an LFG post gets answered. Season 30 Split 2, 20 September 2026, 3,223,079 known ranked players: Silver 30.6%, Gold 20.6%, Platinum 15.7%, Bronze 18.0%, Rookie 11.1%, Diamond 3.90%, Master 0.023%, Apex Predator 0.070%. The whole curve, with the August Split 1 table next to it, is in our rank distribution guide. 2 consequences for your post: a “Silver–Gold, mic, evenings” ask lands in about half the ladder. A “Diamond+ only” ask lands in about 4%. A genuine Master duo partner in public LFG is a rounding error.

Bronze Silver Bronze and Silver. Ask for patience, a mic and someone who lands where the squad lands. Any rank up to Gold works. The lobbies overlap anyway. Do not ask for a “carry”. It teaches nothing, and the premade-spread rules are under review.

Gold Gold. Ask for the same division ±1, the same 3 evenings a week, and a role you do not already fill. Do not ask for “Diamond+ to duo with”. At 3.90% of known players that is the ask that gets no replies.

Platinum Platinum. Ask for role coverage and 1 person willing to IGL. Plat is where uncoordinated trios stall. Do not ask for 3 fraggers. Somebody has to hold the heal and the scan.

Diamond Diamond. Ask for a fixed schedule and VOD honesty. Diamond plus Master plus Predator is about 4.0% of known players, so consistency beats talent. Do not ask for “any Diamond”: ask which platform. Predator is a live top-750 list per platform. The same badge is a different climb on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

Master Apex Predator Master and above. Your public pool is about 0.09% of known players. This is where the paid intro or a verified Master session replaces the post. Do not take a stranger's word for their rank. Ask for the public board profile.

Size the ask in RP. Season 30 floors, matching EA Help and the 20 September 2026 table: Bronze 1,000 · Silver 3,000 · Gold 5,500 · Platinum 8,500 · Diamond 12,000 · Master 16,000 RP. Predator is a top-ladder cutoff. There is no extra RP floor above Master. Gold IV to Platinum IV is 3,000 RP. Platinum IV to Diamond IV is 3,500. A partner who is “Plat” could be 1 RP or 3,499 RP from you. Ask for the division.

Everything above is free and works, at Gold speed. What a verified Master or Predator in your own trio changes is who makes the positioning and rotation calls, and how quickly you see why a fight was lost. You keep your hands on your own account: “You play on your own account. No login sharing, no piloting. Your teammates join your lobby.” That line is the rule on every plan page, and it is also what keeps you on the right side of EA's charter.

• Teammate search, for the Gold to Diamond player who wants a stable trio in their own band. Up to 3 candidate intros in 24 hours, matched to rank band, legends, language and region. An LFG thread run for you. If nobody matches in 48 hours, the plan's price returns as store credit.
• Squad Trial. 1 session of 45 minutes with a verified Master pro in your trio, at your rank, at your time. The 1st 15 minutes are a test game: leave inside them and only the show-up fee is taken, the rest returns to your plan. You approve the session start in your order chat before anything moves.
• Play with a PRO, 1 hour. The classic 60-minute squad session, if you would rather book an hour than a plan.

Prices are printed on the plan pages. They are list prices. Storefront-wide sales do not apply to plans. Pick the plan in the chat frame and the assistant carries your rank, platform and play times straight into the brief.

What a session looks like. You stay on your own account. The Master joins your lobby as a teammate. You drop, you fight, you hear the rotation call out loud. After the game you get the 1 or 2 habits that cost you RP. That is the product: a night of ranked with someone who already sits at the top of the ladder, in your language, at your hours. It is the same LFG problem with the rank verified before you queue.
