Apex Legends LFG: Find Teammates for Ranked, Duos & Trios (Season 30)
Season 30 Marked (live August 4, 2026) gives you cross-play and a friends list — the looking-for-group part happens outside the game. Here is where Apex players actually find teammates today: the official EA Discord (864,176 members, 164,363 online on September 12, 2026), r/ApexLFG, the tracker.gg LFG board, GameTree and, on console, Xbox Looking for Group — plus the one post format that gets answered, the legend pairs the Predator data says climb together, and how a verified Master in your own trio changes a Gold–Diamond climb. Or skip the posting: tell the LFCarry assistant your rank, platform and when you play.

Where Apex players actually find teammates (Season 30)
Apex’s own social tools stop at the friends list: EA Help’s “squad up” page (How to add friends for Apex Legends cross-play, read September 12, 2026) explains how to add a friend by EA Public ID and that cross-play is on by default across the EA app, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2 — it does not give you a place to say “Plat II, EU, mic, tonight”. That part happens outside the game, in the five channels below. Counts were read on September 12, 2026 unless a row says otherwise; every channel is free, the last row is ours.
| Channel | Platforms | Ranked / casual |
|---|---|---|
Apex Discord (official) | both | |
r/ApexLFG | both | |
| any with a tracker profile | Ranked Leagues / Battle Royale | |
GameTree + its LFG Discord | both | |
| both | ||
| LFCarry teammate search | ranked band |
What each one actually gives you:
- Official Apex Legends Discord — global, Discord voice. 864,176 members, 164,363 online; Partnered; “LFG” is one of the server’s declared traits. The biggest room by far — a post without specifics scrolls past in minutes.
- r/ApexLFG — global, text posts then DMs. 26 LFG posts in the 7 days to September 1, 2026 (our count). Slow, but every post stays searchable for days — good for “stable duo, weekday evenings” asks.
- apex.tracker.gg LFG — Global filter, no mic field. A live list, not a chat: you add yourself and the board shows your Rank Score, Level and Kills from your tracker profile next to what you want to play. The one channel where the rank is not self-declared.
- GameTree — global, Discord voice. A team-finder app with a profile match; its Discord is the LFG room, 27,115 members, 3,779 online. Smaller and slower than the official server, better for long-term duo asks.
- Xbox Looking for Group — Xbox network. The console-native route: an LFG post on the Xbox network, documented on Xbox Support (page reachable September 12, 2026). PlayStation has no equivalent page we could verify today, so PS players use the Discords above.
- LFCarry teammate search — your region, your language. Up to 3 candidate intros in 24 hours, matched to your rank band, legends, language and region; we message candidates, you never post first; not matched in 48 hours → the plan’s price back as store credit. The price is on the plan page.
Two things every free channel has in common. The rank is self-declared everywhere except the tracker board, so “Diamond” in a Discord post means whatever the poster wants it to mean. And every successful thread ends the same way — an EA Public ID exchange and a friend request, because that is the only way Apex itself lets you party up (EA Help, above). Have your ID ready before you post.
Best Apex LFG Discord servers (counts read September 12, 2026)
Two servers, on purpose: these are the only Apex LFG Discords whose member counts we read from Discord itself on September 12, 2026. Server directories list hundreds of “Apex LFG” cards, most of them regional teams, multi-game hangouts or storefronts, and a card with no live invite is not a server we will send you to.
| Server | Members · online (Sep 12, 2026) | Badges · traits | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
Apex Legends (official) | 864,176 · 164,363 | Partnered, Community, Discoverable · casual, chatty, helpful, LFG | Volume. “Official community run, developer supported.” Any platform, any rank, any hour — but your post competes with everyone else’s, so lead with platform, rank and region. |
GameTree LFG | 27,115 · 3,779 | Community, Discoverable · Friend LFG, No Limits, New connections | Long-term duos. A friend-finding server rather than a fill queue — slower replies, more people who answer a “weekday evenings, same rank, mic” ask honestly. |
How to vet any other server in sixty seconds. Open the invite page before you join: the online-to-member ratio is the pulse (about 19% for the official server and 14% for GameTree today); a Community or Partnered badge means Discord has looked at it; LFG channels split by platform and region mean the server takes matchmaking seriously. A channel named “boosting”, “accounts” or “recoveries” is the exit sign — those sell access to your account, which EA’s Positive Play Charter prohibits outright (see the FAQ). If what you actually want is a stronger player in your squad, the version that keeps your account yours is a verified Master in your own trio.
How to write an LFG post that gets answered
An LFG post is a filter, not an introduction. The people who answer are matching you against five things, in this order — the same five the tracker board prints next to every name and the same five our own intake asks for (rank, mains, language, region, when you queue). Put them in the first line.
- Platform and input. PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2, and controller or mouse. Cross-play is on by default (EA Help, September 12, 2026), so platform is about voice chat and comfort, not eligibility — but people still filter on it first.
- Rank and division now, and where you want to be. “Plat III → Diamond” tells a reader more than three sentences about your K/D. Rank is the one field everyone applies before reading further.
- Mode and squad size. Ranked or pubs, trios or duos, Mixtape if that is the point tonight. A ranked post that does not say “ranked” gets pubs replies.
- Region, hours and timezone. “EU, 20:00–23:00 CEST tonight” or “NA West, weekends”. Most dead threads die here — two people who both want a duo and are never online at the same time.
- Mic and language. Say which languages you will actually call in.
- The legends you play and the role you fill — one line, so the reader knows whether you overlap (our Season 30 tier list is the shared vocabulary).
- The vibe. Chill or serious, and how long you plan to play. Set expectations before the first hot drop, not after it.
[PC · EU] Plat III → Diamond push tonight 20:00–23:00 CEST · Ranked trios · mic, EN/DE · I play Loba / Pathfinder · looking for 2 who hold a rotation and don’t drop hot every game · EA ID in DMs
What kills a post: “anyone?” with no rank, no hours or no platform; a Discord handle and nothing else; a rank higher than your profile shows (the tracker board exposes it, and a duo finds out in one game). What keeps a thread alive: one post per LFG channel, a repost after an hour if nobody bit, and a DM with your EA Public ID to whoever answers — friends are added by ID, so the exchange is the finish line.
If writing the post is the part you keep putting off, tell the LFCarry assistant the same seven things and it does the searching and the messaging for you (Teammate search).
Duos vs trios, ranked vs pubs — the etiquette that keeps a squad together
Duos. Two roles have to cover the whole fight: one of you needs mobility for the reposition, the other needs the heal, the scan or the shield that lets you reset. Agree who calls before the first drop, and make sure the pair can disengage, not just win 2v2s — the third squad is always coming.
Trios. Name the in-game leader on the drop ship and let that person lose an argument once in a while — a trio that debates rotations mid-zone is a trio that dies in the open. Split the comms: one calls rotations and zone, one calls enemies and cracks, one keeps count of squads left.
Ranked. RP is shared pain. Agree the drop spot and the stop time before the first match (“three games or the first losing streak, whichever comes first”), and say out loud that tilt ends the session — a ranked squad that plays through frustration loses more RP in game four than it gained in one to three. Never promise a friend two tiers below you a carry until you have read the next paragraph.
Pubs. Pubs are the tryout. Two or three pubs with a stranger tell you more about mic discipline and drop habits than any LFG post — treat them as the interview before you queue ranked together.
The Season 30 facts that matter for a squad
- Season 30 “Marked” went live on August 4, 2026 (EA’s Marked Patch Notes, published August 3, 2026): “get ready to group up, gear up, and dive into MARKED.” The same notes announce beefed-up servers across all regions.
- Premade rank spread is under review. In Season 29 EA ran two matchmaking tests, “1-Tier Premade Restrictions” and “Diamond+ Solo-Queue-Only”, and writes that it is “actively analyzing and evaluating the data from these tests” with a results blog to follow. The name of the first test says what was being tested — how far apart the ranks in a premade may be. Until that blog lands, keep your LFG asks within a tier of your own rank; a squad built that way survives whichever rule ships.
- Ranked Ladders now run five days — “extended to 5 days, to allow for more opportunities to compete and increase your standing.” The published calendar ends with Ranked Ladder 5: September 8–13, 2026. A squad that can commit five consecutive evenings is worth more than one great session; ask for the week, not the night.
- Split timing: the Predator meta data we use is labelled S30 Split 1 as of August 31, 2026 (ApexRanked). We do not print a split-end date we have not read from EA — check the Ranked tab in game before you plan a final-week push.
Finding a duo: legend pairs that climb together (Predator data, August 31, 2026)
The best single source for “which legends work together” is who wins with whom at the top: ApexRanked’s Predator meta for Season 30 Split 1 — 813 Predators, 126,235 appearances, day 27, fetched August 31, 2026. Its most-seen trios, with the average RP they gain per game:
| # | Trio (Pred, S30 Split 1) | Games | Avg RP / game |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2,576 | +48.5 | |
| 2 | 2,226 | +50.1 | |
| 3 | 665 | +53.6 | |
| 4 | 663 | +42.4 | |
| 5 | 642 | +41.7 | |
| 6 | 591 | +66.2 (best RP among trios with more than 500 games) |
What that says about a duo. Loba is in all six of the most-seen Predator trios, and Axle and Loba appear together in five of the six. If you are looking for exactly one partner, that pair is the core the top of the ladder has settled on: one of you plays
Loba, the other
Axle, and whoever fills your third flexes between
Seer,
Pathfinder and
Sparrow depending on how aggressive the lobby is. The second duo core in the data is Loba + Pathfinder (trios #2 and #4, plus a small-sample Loba · Pathfinder · Sparrow at +82.0 RP over 269 games — read that as a hint, not a promise).
Below Gold the board flips. Octane is #1 in Bronze at 9.1% pick and #1 across all ranks on Tracker at 7.4%, yet decays to 3.8% at Predator (Apex Legends Status and Tracker.gg, August 31, 2026). Pred comps assume Pred rotations; if you and your duo are climbing out of Silver, pick for the lobby you are in. The full S/A/B/C board by rank band, with the same sources, is in the Season 30 tier list.
Ranked teammates by rank band: what to ask for
How many people sit at each rank decides how fast an LFG post gets answered. Esports Tales’ Season 30 distribution (August 2026, page modified August 12, 2026; sample: Apex Legends Status) puts Gold at 36.39% of players, Silver at 29.69%, Platinum at 15.55%, Diamond at 2.73%, Master at 0.05% and Apex Predator at 0.26% — the whole curve is in our rank distribution guide. Apex Legends Status counted 7,462 Masters and 2,976 Predators of 714,819 tracked players on September 1, 2026. Two consequences for your post: a “Gold–Plat, mic, evenings” ask lands in a pool of two thirds of the ladder; a “Diamond+ only” ask lands in about 3%, and a genuine Master duo partner in public LFG is a rounding error.
Bronze – Silver. Ask for patience, a mic and someone who lands where the squad lands; any rank up to Gold works, the lobbies overlap anyway. Do not ask for a “carry” — it teaches nothing, and the premade-spread rules are under review (see above).
Gold — the mound. Ask for the same division ±1, the same three evenings a week, and a role you do not already fill. Do not ask for “Diamond+ to duo with” — at 2.73% of players that is the ask that gets no replies.
Platinum. Ask for role coverage and one person willing to IGL — Plat is where uncoordinated trios stall. Do not ask for three fraggers; somebody has to hold the heal and the scan.
Diamond. Ask for a fixed schedule and VOD honesty — Diamond I is already the top 0.52% (Esports Tales), so consistency beats talent. Do not ask for “any Diamond”: ask which platform, because the Predator cutoff on September 1, 2026 was 27,237 RP on PC, 22,234 on PlayStation and 17,828 on Xbox (Apex Legends Status) — the same badge is a different climb per platform.
Master and above. Your public pool is about 0.3% of players; this is where the paid intro or a verified Master session replaces the post. Do not take a stranger’s word for their rank — ask for the tracker profile.
Size the ask in RP. The Season 30 rank floors are Bronze 1,000 · Silver 3,000 · Gold 5,500 · Platinum 8,500 · Diamond 12,000 · Master 16,000 RP (EA Help, “How Apex Legends Ranked works”, updated August 2026, as recorded in our Apex game config; Predator is a top-ladder cutoff, not a floor). Gold IV to Platinum IV is 3,000 RP; Platinum IV to Diamond IV is 3,500. A partner who is “Plat” could be 1 RP or 3,499 RP from you — ask for the division.
Play with a verified Master or Predator in your own trio
Everything above is free and works, at Gold speed. What a verified Master or Predator in your own trio changes is not your aim — it is who makes the positioning and rotation calls, and how quickly you see why a fight was lost. You keep your hands on your own account: “You play on your own account. No login sharing, no piloting — your teammates join your lobby.” That line is the rule on every plan page, and it is also what keeps you on the right side of EA’s charter (FAQ below).
- Teammate search — for the Gold–Diamond player who wants a stable trio in their own band. Up to 3 candidate intros in 24 hours, matched to rank band, legends, language and region; an LFG thread run for you; not matched in 48 hours → the plan’s price back as store credit.
- Squad Trial — one 45-minute ranked session with a verified Master pro in your trio, at your rank, at your time. The first 15 minutes are a test game: leave inside them and only the show-up fee is taken, the rest returns to your plan. You approve the session start in your order chat before anything moves.
- Play with a PRO for one hour — the classic one-hour squad session, if you would rather book an hour than a plan.
Prices are printed on the plan pages, not here — they are list prices and storefront-wide sales do not apply to plans. Pick the plan in the chat frame at the top of this page and the assistant carries your rank, platform and play times straight into the brief.
