Apex Legends Weapon Tier List: Best Guns in Season 30 Split 2

This tier list grades all 29 Apex Legends guns for Season 30 Split 2. Season 30 Marked launched on 4 August 2026. Split 2 and its mid-season patch went live on 15 September 2026.

The best guns on the floor are the R-99, the C.A.R. SMG, the Nemesis and the Alternator. All 4 sit in S tier. The Kraber, the L-STAR and the 30-30 Repeater are S tier too. Those 3 drop only in care packages.

The board above ranks every gun in the Split 2 loot pool. Each tier below lists its guns in board order.

S tier (7): Kraber, 30-30 Repeater, L-STAR, R-99, C.A.R. SMG, Nemesis, Alternator.

A tier (10): Prowler, R-301, Wingman, RE-45, P2020, Charge Rifle, Volt, HAVOC, Flatline, Mastiff.

B tier (10): Hemlok, Devotion, Triple Take, G7 Scout, Spitfire, EVA-8, Peacekeeper, Sentinel, Rampage, Longbow.

C tier (2): Bocek, Mozambique.

The S tier SMGs win close fights fastest. The R-99 and the Alternator took damage cuts at Season 30 launch and still hold S. The Nemesis is the only assault rifle in S tier.

3 guns drop only in care packages in Season 30: the Kraber, the L-STAR and the 30-30 Repeater. All 3 sit in S tier.

The 30-30 Repeater moved into the care package at Season 30 launch. The G7 Scout went back to floor loot in the same rotation.

The care package 30-30 hits for 51 per shot, up from 43. Its ADS charge time dropped to 0.25 seconds from 0.4. The Shattercaps hop-up splits each round into 7 pellets for close range.

Every care package you can reach is worth a fight.

The Split 2 patch of 15 September 2026 buffed 3 long range guns.

• Triple Take: faster fire rate while aiming down sights. The blue magazine went from 8 to 9 rounds.
• Bocek: the arrow stockpile went from 40 to 60. Explosive arrows per energize went from 7 to 10.
• Charge Rifle: damage at max range went from 99 to 110 past 200 meters. The selectfire damage penalty dropped from 40% to 25%.

Season 30 launch cut damage on the close range guns.

• R-99: 12 damage per bullet, down from 13.
• Alternator: 18 damage per bullet, down from 19. Its magazine got smaller at every rarity.
• Hemlok: 21 damage, down from 22. Its Breach Charge cooldown went from 25 to 30 seconds.
• G7 Scout: 33 damage, down from 37. It lost Double Tap and sniper optics.

The Split 2 patch also stopped the Agile Standard Stock from stacking with legend movement speed buffs.

Energy ammo left the game in Season 30. Each energy weapon now carries its own stockpile of ammo. The stockpile refills 1 magazine every 18 seconds.

7 guns run on this system: the L-STAR, the Nemesis, the HAVOC, the Devotion, the RE-45, the Volt and the Triple Take. 2 energy guns in 1 loadout now share no ammo pool.

Corrupted Attachments are a new attachment rarity in Season 30. Each one adds a big bonus and a stat drawback. A gun carries 1 Corrupted Attachment at a time.

The 5 Corrupted Attachments are the Overflowing Magazine, the Headseeker Barrel, the Tactical Laser, the Agile Standard Stock and the Rapid Sniper Stock. They drop from round 2 and 3 care packages and from high tier loot spots.

• SMG: R-99, C.A.R. SMG and Alternator in S. Prowler and Volt in A.
• Assault rifle: Nemesis in S. R-301, HAVOC and Flatline in A. Hemlok in B.
• LMG: L-STAR in S from care packages. Devotion, Spitfire and Rampage in B.
• Marksman: 30-30 Repeater in S from care packages. Triple Take and G7 Scout in B. Bocek in C.
• Sniper: Kraber in S from care packages. Charge Rifle in A. Sentinel and Longbow in B.
• Shotgun: Mastiff in A. EVA-8 and Peacekeeper in B. Mozambique in C.
• Pistol: Wingman, RE-45 and P2020 in A.

The strongest floor loadout pairs an S tier SMG with the Nemesis. An A tier assault rifle works when the Nemesis is missing.

A gun takes the highest letter that 2 of the 3 rankings give it or beat. A gun graded by only 2 rankings takes the lower of its 2 letters.

The Triple Take, the Bocek and the Charge Rifle split the rankings most. Each got a Split 2 buff. 1 ranking moved all 3 into S tier after the patch. The newest ranking keeps the Bocek and the Triple Take in C.
