How to get the Assassin badge in Apex Legends
Assassin is a legend badge with 4 tiers. A game counts toward it when you get 5 or more kills in that game on the legend you play.

- Choose 1 legend. The count runs per legend, so every game on it moves the same badge.
- Play for 5 kills a game. Each game where you reach 5 or more kills adds 1 to your count.
- Climb the tiers. 5 games give Assassin I, 15 give II, 50 give III and 100 give IV.
- Equip the badge. Your banner can show only the highest tier you hold on that legend.
Apex Season 31, Cipher, has been live since 3 November 2026. A PRO can play the 100 games on your account, on the legend you pick.
Get Assassin IV on your legend
A PRO plays the 100 games with 5 or more kills on the legend you pick. The 20-kill and 4K badges can come next.

Assassin counts per legend
Apex tracks every legend badge separately for each legend. 50 games with 5 kills on Wraith and 50 more on Bloodhound give 2 Assassin III badges, and neither legend reaches IV.
So the fastest Assassin IV comes from 1 legend you already play well. The Apex tier list ranks the roster, and the Apex weapon tier list picks the guns that end fights fast.
Other kill badges to earn on the way
A long Assassin grind also brings the other kill and damage badges within reach. Each one counts on the legend you play.

Assassin badge boost: what the order covers
The order covers Assassin I to IV on the legend you name. A PRO plays games on your account until 100 of them have 5 or more kills.
Your account keeps the XP of every one of those games. Levels bring Legend tokens and Apex Packs along the way.
The 20-kill and 4K damage badges ride in a separate order, played on the same legend if you ask.
