WoW Forever Editions Compared: Heroic $29.99, Epic $59.99, Collection $79.99, CE $150

World of Warcraft: Forever has no box price: the game is included in a WoW subscription. The Battle.net shop sells 3 optional packs: the Skyborne Heroic Pack at $29.99, the Skyborne Epic Pack at $59.99 and the Warcraft Forever Collection at $79.99. A $150 physical Collector's Edition adds a statue. This guide compares them and tells you which 1 fits the way you will play from 4 November.

WoW Forever Editions Compared: Heroic $29.99, Epic $59.99, Collection $79.99, CE $150

The subscription is the game

You do not buy World of Warcraft: Forever. It launches on 4 November 2026 at 3:00 PM PST inside a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, the same subscription that covers modern WoW and Classic. Every dungeon, raid, zone and class change is yours with the subscription alone.

What the shop sells are upgrade packs. 1 thing separates a subscriber from a pack owner in the game itself: the Skyborne race with its Zephras Isle starting zone. Everything else in the packs is a launch benefit, a cosmetic or a code.

Pack benefits apply to the specific WoW account you buy them for. 2 game accounts need 2 packs.

The edition buys the name. The booster buys the levels.

With a subscription alone or any pack, 1 booster gets your character to 60 around 18 November, 2 boosters around 11 November. A Skyborne costs the same.

The 4 editions side by side

The packs stack: each tier holds everything in the tier below it. The Heroic Pack is the floor for the Skyborne race and early name reservation. The Epic Pack is the floor for beta access. The Collection is the only digital tier with a cutoff. It leaves the shop on 11 January 2027.

EU prices are the same numbers in euro, VAT included. The Collector's Edition is sold on the Blizzard Gear Store.

What is in each pack

Skyborne Heroic Pack, $29.99. The Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience. Early name reservation from 27 October. The Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, which you ride once you have bought the riding skill in game. The Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb, the Veteran Adventurer's Rucksack and the Shen'dorei Windwell toy. Skyborne housing decor for modern WoW. 1 invite code.

Skyborne Epic Pack, $59.99. Everything in Heroic. Beta access from 17 September. 30 days of game time, added from 4 November. The Veteran Adventurer's Loyal Companion bear mount and the Outdoor Wear transmog set. Pets and tabards. 3 invite codes in total.

Warcraft Forever Collection, $79.99. Everything in Epic. Warcraft III: Reforged and its Forsaken Kingdom campaign, the story Forever picks up after. Forsaken and Human figurine decor for modern WoW. On sale through 11 January 2027.

The housing decor in every tier is for modern WoW. Forever has no player housing.

The $150 Collector's Edition

The physical Collector's Edition costs $150 on the Blizzard Gear Store. Inside: a Warcraft Forever Collection code with the beta, a 13-inch dwarf and bear statue, a Zephras Isle mousepad, art prints, pins and a companion journal. Limit 1 per household on the Gear Store restock. Restock orders ship around February 2027. It ships to select locations in North and South America, and to Australia and New Zealand through retail partners. All sales are final.

The beta code inside needs a WoW game account, works once per account and cannot be redeemed on an account that already has beta. Blizzard has not published a ship date or an EU price.

Codes, game time and the upgrade rule

Invite codes are emailed from 20 October. Each lets a friend play Forever from 4 to 11 November without a subscription or game time. Heroic gives 1, Epic and the Collection give 3. Gift purchases get no codes, so buy the pack on the account that will use it.

Game time on Epic and the Collection is added from 4 November. It covers the 1st month of Forever for a lapsed subscriber.

The upgrade rule. A digital pack owner who later redeems a Collector's Edition code may receive Battle.net Balance equal to what the pack cost, if the code is redeemed by 31 December 2027. Blizzard calls it product-dependent. It makes Epic now and the box later a safe order.

Which edition fits you

Subscription only. You want Classic Azeroth with the new content and the Skyborne race does nothing for you. You give up the name week and the codes. Nothing that changes how the game plays is lost.

Heroic, $29.99. You want a locked 2-part name on 27 October, or a Skyborne alt. This is the cheapest tier that does both. Beta is the only thing you skip.

Epic, $59.99. You want to settle your class in the beta before the name week, and you were going to subscribe in November anyway. The 30 days of game time cover most of the $30 step up from Heroic, and 3 codes bring 3 friends for launch week.

Collection, $79.99. You never played Warcraft III: Reforged or the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and want the story Forever continues. Buy before 11 January 2027.

Collector's Edition, $150. You want the statue and you live where it ships. If you already own Epic, the upgrade rule refunds it as Balance.

Our default for most readers is Epic. If the beta is noise to you, Heroic.

No edition skips the 1 to 60

Forever has no WoW Token and no paid level boost, and a dungeon finder is not on Blizzard's list. Whatever pack you own, every character starts at level 1 on 4 November and 60 is about 150 hours of play. At 3 hours a night that is 7 weeks, so a solo character arrives around 24 December, 2 weeks after the raids open on 9 December.

The pack decides the name and the race. The booster decides the calendar. A Skyborne from any pack levels on the same route as every other race, and the same order covers it. The route by bracket and the fastest classes: the leveling speed guide.
