Current Tarkov Wipe Status (July 2026)
Bottom line: there is no scheduled mandatory wipe of your main PMC. The last full server wipe landed with Escape from Tarkov 1.0 on November 15, 2025 (patch 1.0.0.0). That wipe is still the active 1.0 era on tarkov.dev wipe length (~242 days ongoing as of this scrape).
| Question | Answer (Jul 15, 2026) | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| November 15, 2025 — EFT 1.0 launch wipe | CONFIRMED | |
| No under the 1.0 model — progress persists; seasons are opt-in | CONFIRMED | |
| Season 1 Kord Breach — July / mid-summer 2026 window; no official day | WINDOW ONLY | |
| SeasonDex shows In progress from an estimated Jul 1 start — editorial guides (Jul 3–8) still say "dropping this month / no exact date". We do not treat SeasonDex as an official day-lock. | DISCREPANCY | |
| Community roadmaps tie 1.1.0 / seasons to the July window — treat as planned with Season 1 until BSG ships notes | TEACHER-VERIFY |

Seasons vs Traditional Wipes (Post-1.0)
Before 1.0, Battlestate ran roughly half-year mandatory wipes: every PMC, stash, and trader progress reset together. At 1.0, COO Nikita Buyanov described seasons as "a separate realm for those who want to experience all of the wipe related stuff — starting from scratch with everybody progressing through it" (quoted via GameSpot / games.gg).
| Topic | Old wipe | 1.0 season |
|---|---|---|
| Everyone, forced | Only players who opt into the seasonal queue | |
| Wiped | Untouched | |
| Server-wide wipe | Main persists; fresh economy in seasonal realm only | |
| Mostly same rules each wipe | Unique season modifiers (no flea / open flea / RPG buffs, etc.) | |
| ~4–8 months historically (~175d avg last 6) | Studio targets seasonal drops (S1 = summer 2026) |
Season 1 name:
Kord Breach. Community guides (games.gg Jul 3, boostmatch Jul 8) document Positive / Negative / Hardcore modifiers (e.g. Kappa Protocol start, No Flea Market, No Insurance) and a Blackout pre-season event. Interpretations of every cryptic name are still being filled in — wait for official patch notes for mechanical truth.
Tarkov Wipe History — Last 10 Wipes
Dates from tarkov.dev Wipe Length (interactive scrape Jul 15, 2026; columns sortable). Average among the last 6 completed/ongoing cycles ≈ 175 days — the old "every 6 months" line was a rule of thumb, not a clock.

*Ongoing length is a tracker convenience — your main stash is not waiting on another forced wipe day. SeasonDex tracks seasonal characters separately from this historical full-wipe table.

What Happens on a Wipe (and on a Season Start)
Classic wipe checklist (what veterans mean when they say "wipe day"):
PMC level, skills, trader standing, quests reset to wipe start values.
Stash gear / currency / hideout progress wipe (editions may keep some stash size).
Flea Market locks until the usual level/rep gates.
Map meta restarts: pistol/SMG early fights, then mid-wipe kits, then late-wipe lasers.
On a
season start the same "fresh character" feeling applies inside the seasonal realm — your main profile stays. Expect longer queues if the player pool splits, and season-only quests / modifiers (Kord Breach modifier list is public in community guides; mechanics still TEACHER-VERIFY on patch notes).
Need a fast start when Kord Breach opens (or just want raids/quests cleared on main)? Use the wipe/raid CTAs below — same skill that mattered on old wipe day still matters on season day-1.
When Is the Next Tarkov Wipe / Season?
Official answer: Battlestate has not announced an exact calendar date for Season 1 as of July 15, 2026.
| Estimate type | Window | Why | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| July / mid-summer 2026 | 2026 roadmap + TarkovTV season messaging; BLAST / Epiccarry / boostmatch July coverage | EXPECTED | |
| Jul 1 → Nov 1, 2026 | Tracker marks start/end (estimated) and shows "In progress" — not a BSG day lock | ESTIMATED ONLY | |
| ~May–Jun 2026 | Nov 15 + ~180d — already passed without a forced wipe (because seasons replaced it) | OBSOLETE MODEL | |
| — | No BSG day lock in public notes we could verify | NOT ANNOUNCED |
Do not treat YouTube thumbnails, RMT blogs, or auto-started tracker countdowns naming a specific July weekday as official. Follow Nikita / Battlestate channels; we will refresh this page's currentState when a day drops.
Methodology & Sources
- Wipe timeline (interactive): tarkov.dev Wipe Length — top row 1.0.0.0 Ongoing 242 days verified Jul 15, 2026.
- Season tracker (interactive): SeasonDex Tarkov — Kord Breach still In progress with Jul 1 / Nov 1 (estimated) (~11% complete Jul 15); seasonal dates ≠ historical full wipes.
- Official news (Jul 15 re-check): escapefromtarkov.com/news — no wipe-day / Kord Breach / 1.1.0 announcement; latest posts Expansions Hub (Jul 8) + Patch 1.0.6.0 (Jul 3).
- 1.0 + seasons model: GameSpot (Apr 28, 2026) + games.gg (Jun 7, 2026) — both cite Nikita's seasonal-realm wording.
- Kord Breach modifiers / July window: games.gg (Jul 3) + boostmatch (Jul 8) + BLAST roadmap (May 11).
- Roadmap echo: Epiccarry July-window article — secondary; never override "not announced" for the exact day.
Where aggregators disagree with tarkov.dev dates, we keep tarkov.dev for history and BSG-attributed quotes for the seasons model. SeasonDex estimates are labeled as such.
