How to get Necrochasm: the Bottomless Pit quest
Necrochasm is the reward of Bottomless Pit, a quest from the Crota's End raid. A finished quest always gives the rifle.
- Clear Crota's End once. Take Bottomless Pit and
Husk of the Pit from the sword at the end of the raid. - Defeat 100 Hive with Husk of the Pit. Final blows inside Crota's End give extra progress.
- Get Eidolon Ally. Step 1 upgrades the rifle and opens step 2.
- Collect 20
Essence of the Oversoul. Raid clears and Crota's End triumphs drop it. - Claim Necrochasm. The 20th Essence completes the quest.

The catalyst needs 35 Essence of the Oversoul in total. Essence from the quest counts, so 15 more finish it after the rifle.
The catalyst needs no kill count. It unlocks as soon as you hold 35 Essence.
Its perk rewards spread fire. Hitting 3 separate targets raises damage, range, handling and aim assist for a while.

What Necrochasm does: chain Cursed Thrall blasts
Necrochasm is an Exotic Kinetic auto rifle.
Cursebringer (intrinsic). Precision final blows trigger a Cursed Thrall explosion. Final blows from those explosions refill the magazine.- Desperation. Reloading after one of those final blows raises rate of fire, stability and aim assist.
