Is Buying Gold in WoW Forever Safe? What Blizzard Bans and the Safer Options

Updated 2026-10-07 · 8 min read · by LFCarry PRO team

Risky. Blizzard removes bought gold and can close buyer accounts, on the beta and after launch.

  • No gold changes hands. A Pro farms on your own character, and nothing is traded or mailed to you.
  • Safety, measure by measure. 1 fixed PC and 1 residential IP in your region for the whole order, and the 2FA code asked in chat. No service can promise zero risk.
  • Remote control (Parsec). The Pro plays on your own PC, so your login never leaves it. It adds 30%, and we help you set it up.

What Blizzard enforces on the WoW Forever beta

28 SepBought gold removed, buyer accounts can be closed

0WoW Token in Forever

Blizzard does not allow buying gold for real money, and Forever has no WoW Token. On 28 September 2026 Blizzard said it will increasingly act against buyers' accounts. It removes the illicit gold and can close the account.

On 1 October Blizzard said it is continuously actioning accounts that botted gold on the beta, and accounts that bought or knowingly received it. A warning will soon appear whenever you trade with a stranger. Blizzard calls its stance on real money trading crystal clear, and the same rules apply after launch.

Blizzard's warnings name gold traded or mailed from someone you do not know. Gold your own character earns involves no such transfer.

Is Buying Gold in WoW Forever Safe? Bans, Risks and Safer Ways to Get Gold

5 ways to get Forever gold, side by side

Each way to get gold is judged here on 2 risks: a gold transfer from another player, and another person on your account. The table puts them side by side.

MethodGold transferAccount accessPriceWhen
Traded or mailed gold from a gold shopYes. A seller's character trades or mails it to youNonePer 1,000 goldMinutes to hours
Gold farmed on your character, by the hour or a guaranteed amountNone. Your character earns itA Pro logs in from 1 fixed PC and 1 residential IP in your regionPer hour, or $219 for 500 guaranteedFrom launch on 4 November
Remote control (Parsec) on a leveling or gold orderNoneYour login stays on your PC while a Pro plays on itPlus 30%Same as the order
An alt leveled 1 to 60None. The alt keeps the gold of its routeA Pro logs in, or Parsec$299 a character, 20% off characters 2 and 314 days with 1 booster
Guild membershipNone. Pro-hours on your own characters from the Member rankA Pro logs in, or ParsecMonthly invoiceFrom launch

The alt route pays twice: you get a 60, and the 60 keeps the gold of its route. Classic-era players often reach 60 with several hundred gold. Our estimate for Forever is the same, and your order chat logs the real amount.

Gold is also split by market. Each ruleset and faction has its own auction house in each region, and gold stays inside it. Order gold on the character that will spend it.

Why traded gold is the part Blizzard's warnings name

Blizzard's support page on gold buying spells it out. The gold you bought is removed and the account is actioned, with the possibility of a permanent ban. The same page warns against gold from a "friend" or an "alt character" that did not make the deal.

That covers the usual workarounds. A seller who mails gold from a level 1 character, or splits a big order into small trades, still moves gold from someone else to you. On the beta, a streamer took about 520 gold from fresh characters on stream and was left with 9 silver on 29 September. Another streamer's beta account was banned on 1 October for promoting gold buying.

Forever also has no GDKP. Blizzard said it will not allow raids that auction their loot for gold. There is no WoW Token and no paid level boost, so the only gold in the game is gold that players earn.

How gold shops deliver Forever gold

Gold shops describe their delivery on their own pages. Epiccarry, ConquestCapped and BuyBoost list face-to-face trade, in-game mail or the auction house. Skycoach offers face-to-face trade or in-game mail. WowVendor sends gold by in-game mail or a face-to-face trade.

All 3 methods move gold from a seller's character to yours. A purchase on the auction house at a set price is a transfer too. That is the transfer Blizzard's 1 October warning describes.

For piloted orders, the safety step most shops name is a VPN. Skycoach says its booster connects through a VPN, and Kingboost says its boosters use your personal VPN server. A VPN changes the address a session comes from. The gold still comes from the same place.

How we lower the risk on your account

  • In-house Pros. Players we hired ourselves, playing from our own supervised room of 50 PCs.
  • 1 PC, 1 IP. Your whole order runs on 1 fixed PC and 1 residential IP in your region.
  • 2FA stays on. We ask for the code in chat when the Pro logs in, so your Battle.net Authenticator stays on.
  • Appear offline. The Pro plays with appear offline and stays out of your friends list and guild chat.
  • Game only. No 3rd-party software on any session.
  • Remote control (Parsec). The no-login option: the Pro plays on your own PC, so your login never leaves it. It adds 30%, and we help you set it up.

No service can promise zero risk. These are the measures we take on every order.

Gold farmed this way stays where it was made. The Pro gathers, runs dungeons and sells on the auction house of your market, and the gold sits in your character's bags. No other player trades or mails it to you.

Farming on your own character removes the gold transfer. The account access stays: on a piloted order a Pro logs in to your account. Remote control (Parsec) keeps your login on your own PC instead. You choose which one, and the rest of the order is the same.

Carries for gold: the Carry Offered tag

The 1 October beta build made the group finder ask for a playstyle on every listing: Learning, Relaxed, Competitive or Carry Offered. Blizzard has published no description of the 4 options, and a listing has no field for a price or gold.

Blizzard's advertising rules let players and guilds sell carries for gold, with the ads posted in the Services channel. Gold from a carry is paid by the player you carried, inside the game. The group finder guide shows how listings work.

Guild membership: Pro-hours on your own characters

Our guild membership is a monthly place in 1 of our 4 US guilds (Normal or PvP, Alliance or Horde; EU, RP and Hardcore guilds are on a waitlist). From the Member rank up, it adds monthly Pro-hours on your own characters. Every rank gets guild dungeon nights, battleground premades and raid sign-ups from 9 December. You get an invoice each month, and you can stop any month.

The hours work like gold farming hours: the gold is earned on your characters, and nothing is traded or mailed. No other shop we checked sells a guild membership. The ranks and prices are on the guild membership page, and the WoW Forever guilds guide covers how a guild works in Forever.
