Palworld level cap in version 1.0.5: level 80
The Palworld level cap is 80. Palworld 1.0 raised it from 65 on 10 July 2026, when the game left Early Access. The live version is 1.0.5, out since 15 September 2026, and the cap is still 80.
Your Pals share the cap. A Pal also stops at level 80.

What happens when you hit level 80
At level 80 your character stops gaining experience. Pals stop at 80 the same way, so a level 80 Pal earns no more levels from fights or base work.
Level 80 is the level of the hardest fights in 1.0:
- Zenara and
Astralym, the final boss of the World Tree, fight at level 80. - Auri and
Shaolong in Hard Mode at the Azure Covenant Tower fight at level 80.
Reach 80 before these fights.
How to reach level 80 fast in Palworld 1.0
- Finish Capture Bonuses. Since 1.0, 5 catches of the same Pal finish its
Capture Bonus. Catch 5 of every new Pal you meet for the bonus experience. - Clear the tower bosses. Each tower clear pays Character EXP and Pal EXP. The Feybreak Tower and the Sakurajima Tower sit on the way to Sunreach.
- Explore new regions. 1.0 added Sunreach and the World Tree, and their new Pals feed the Capture Bonus loop.
Palworld max base level: 35 and up to 4 bases
The max base level in Palworld 1.0 is 35. Your base level rises when you finish the missions of your Palbox. Higher base levels open more bases and more working Pals.
