The game launched on 6 December 2024 with 33 heroes. 21 more arrived across Seasons 1 to 10. Gorr the God Butcher is the newest, a Duelist from 11 September 2026. Season 10.5 runs from 9 October with 2 new modes and no new hero.
Every hero is free to unlock. Season 11 starts on 13 November 2026, and NetEase has promised 2 new heroes for it. The date and what we know so far are on Marvel Rivals Season 11.

New Marvel Rivals characters: Season 11
Season 11 starts on 13 November 2026. NetEase promised 2 new heroes for it in Dev Vision Vol. 21, the Season 10 developer video.
They will be heroes 55 and 56. NetEase has not named them yet. In Seasons 8 and 9, the 2nd hero arrived 4 weeks after the 1st.

How to pick a hero from 54
- Pick the role you enjoy. Tanks hold space, Duelists take fights, Strategists keep the team alive.
- Try 2 or 3 heroes in that role. Every hero is free, so the Practice Range costs you nothing.
- Check where your picks stand this season on the Marvel Rivals tier list.
- Take 1 main into Competitive. It unlocks at account level 15.
