What St. Elmo's Engine is in The Division 2
St. Elmo's Engine is an exotic assault rifle in Tom Clancy's The Division 2. It is the exotic LVOA-C. Title Update 18 added the gun.
The talent is
Actum Est. Shooting an enemy with this weapon gives 1 stack. At 100 stacks the next magazine fills with shock ammo.
The gun ships with 4 locked mods. The optic is +30% Critical Hit Damage. The magazine is +30 rounds. The grip is +30% Weapon Handling. The muzzle is +15% Critical Hit Chance.
Ubisoft published Red Horizon on 26 August 2026. The season puts Cleaners on Washington, D.C., adds the Under Pressure modifier, and ships a new exotic shotgun on the free Season Pass track. St. Elmo's Engine stays in the loot pool. The season notes do not retire Actum Est and do not reprint a new stack number.
Year 8 Season 2, Into the Dark, went live on 15 June 2026. Title Update Y8S2.2 Dust Storm ran 21 July to 11 August 2026. That event sold St. Elmo's Engine as a personal-milestone reward at 20 Keys. That window is closed. The live path is the world drop.
Farm St. Elmo's Engine when a shock magazine is the hole in a live build. Equip it when you already run assault-rifle targeted loot. Open the $35 checkout when you want the gun tonight.
Farm assault-rifle loot, or pay $35
Farm when you already run Countdown or Summit. Set assault rifle as targeted loot. St. Elmo's Engine drops from enemies, weapon chests, Exotic Caches, and any area or mission with assault rifles as targeted loot.
The St. Elmo's Engine blueprint is a separate drop. It comes from a True Sons Kill Squad during True Sons Retaliation. Ubisoft has not published a drop percent for the gun. A shop page that prints 2% is inventing a number.
Dust Storm's 20-Key personal milestone was a guaranteed copy from 21 July to 11 August 2026. That event is over. Do not wait for that board to come back unless a new seasonal page names it again.
