Short answer: crossplay rolls out from 10 November
The Division 2 gets crossplay across PC,
PlayStation and
Xbox in November 2026. Massive rolls it out in stages.
The 3 November client update adds the crossplay options and menus. They stay inactive at that stage. On 10 November, PC players and clans move to the new crossplay environment. In that phase PC players still meet only PC players.
PlayStation and
Xbox players and clans move once the environment runs stable for some days. From that point PC, PlayStation and Xbox play together. Ubisoft has given no date for the console move. The goal is a finished rollout before Season 4.
You need to do nothing to prepare. The move is automatic for every agent and clan.
Is Division 2 cross-platform today?
Today crossplay covers PC only.
Ubisoft Connect,
Steam and
Epic Games Store players share 1 PC pool. It is automatic and on by default.
PlayStation players and
Xbox players each stay inside their own platform today. That changes after the console move.
| Platform | Today | From 10 November | After the console move |

| PC: | PC crossplay, on by default | Crossplay environment, PC players only | Plays with PC, |

Crossplay and cross-progression
Crossplay covers matchmaking, groups and clans. Cross-progression covers your agent and your saves. It links the 3 PC stores through 1 Ubisoft account. A
PlayStation or
Xbox agent stays on its console.
Division 2 crossplay release date, step by step
- 3 November 2026: client update with
Echoes of Central Park. Crossplay options and menus appear. They switch on later. - 10 November 2026: PC players and PC clans move to the crossplay environment. PC still matches with PC only.
- Some days later:
PlayStation and
Xbox players and clans move once the environment is stable. Crossplay is live on all 3 platforms from here. - Before Season 4: the goal for a finished rollout. Season 4 has no date yet.
Massive treats all of November as a rollout window. The team watches the servers and ships fixes before Season 4.

What changes when crossplay goes live
- Crossplay is on by default for every player.
- Switch it off on the Character Selection screen. With it off, you meet only players on your own platform.
- With it on, you match with players on every platform who also have it on.
- Clans move to crossplay. Agents on different platforms can join the same clan.
- Clan capacity grows from 50 to 100 members.
- Leaderboards reset. The boards also show each player's crossplay setting.
Clan names and leaders
If 2 clans share a name, 1 of them gets a temporary name. Members can rename it later. The earliest member to log in after the move leads the clan for now. The original leader takes the clan back by logging in within a set window. Ubisoft has not given its length yet.
Why it matters
Massive rebuilt part of the online architecture for crossplay. The aim is healthier matchmaking and shorter queues across the game.
Group content gains the most. Countdown holds up to 8 players. Raids take 8 players. A bigger player pool helps fill both.

Red Moon Rising ends on 3 November. Farm
Vertigo and
Sarru in the PvE Dark Zone before then.- Countdown Surge weeks pay double Countdown Requisition. The patch tracker above dates each Surge.
- Friends on another platform: finish your build now and group up the day consoles join.
Builds that carry a squad through Countdown and raids are on the Division 2 builds guide. The exotics worth chasing are on the Division 2 exotic tier list.
