Apex Legends tier list for October 2026: Season 30 Marked Split 2
October 2026 update for Season 30 Marked Split 2. The October 1 update nerfed
Axle again. Her passive slide lost 50% of its lateral control. Nitro Gate users lose 25% slide control, aim assist switches off inside the Gate, and its push speed drops from 700 to 650. The Kickstart drone now chases for 8s (was 10s), its max knock-up drops from 700 to 650, and a lock-on right after deploy knocks up much less. The same update fixed
Alter’s Tactical and Ultimate near large moving structures. A follow-up on October 2 cut the Fast Draw Wild Card bonuses. The S row on the live board is now
Loba, Axle and
Pathfinder.
Seer drops to A.
Split 2 started 15 September 2026 with the official midseason notes of 14 September.
Axle: Kickstart drone HP 150, Ult cooldown 120s, stun 0.25s.
Seer: turn slow on the Tactical is gone.
Conduit,
Fuse,
Catalyst and
Bloodhound received kit buffs. Pubs and Ranked maps this split: World’s Edge, Olympus, Broken Moon. Ranked ladders: 6 windows of 5 days from 22 September to 1 November; Ladder 5 runs 20 to 25 October. Season 30 ends on November 3, 2026.
Primary high-elo read = the Predator top-100 pick rate (October 9, 2026; the board updates daily at midnight GMT). Cross-check = the Split 2 Pred average (822 tracked Predators, 15 September to 7 October), which puts the same 3 Legends on top:
Loba 19.6%,
Axle 15.7%,
Pathfinder 14.5%. History = the September 20 board (Axle 25.9%, Loba 22.5%, Pathfinder 12.9%,
Seer 6.3%) and the August 31 snapshot. Where the slices disagree, both numbers stay in the sentence. Currency sibling: Apex Coins guide.

The wide Master/Pred board shows her down about 70% on the week. Last on the Pred board, with the lowest win rate (42%). Marked removed the Weapon Supply Bins his Assault class perk existed to open. |
Note: these are pick rates 1st, win rates 2nd. A Master/Pred number and a Pred top-100 number are different slices ·
Axle 18.6% (Predator top-100) vs 7.5% (wide Master/Pred, October 9) is the cleanest example this month, and both stay in her row. In August the example was
Loba: 12.4% on August 11 Master/Pred vs 22.8% on the August 31 top-100 board.
Bloodhound sat at #1 on the August 11 Bronze/Silver board while the October 9 Bronze board has
Octane #1; they are last-tier at Pred either way · that disagreement is the story. Separate from a reason to put them in S.
Season 30 Marked Meta Snapshot (October 2026)
What changed in October:
- October 1 update (official):
Axle’s passive slide lost 50% of its lateral control. Nitro Gate users lose 25% slide control and aim assist inside the Gate, and the Gate push drops from 700 to 650. Kickstart drones chase for 8s (was 10s), max knock-up drops from 700 to 650, and a lock-on right after deploy knocks up much less.
Alter’s Tactical and Ultimate now work near large moving structures. In Apex KO, Fighter Defense went from 55% to 50%, and Ryu, Chun-Li and Dhalsim store 2 Ult charges (was 3). - October 2 update: a fix for Steam settings that reset on every launch, and Fast Draw Wild Card cuts (reload time bonus 35%→25%, consumable use bonus 50%→25%).
- October 6 update: from October 7, cross-play is the default matchmaking option for all platforms on US-West servers until the season ends on November 3; console players can switch it off. Broken Moon floor geometry fixed.
- October 8 update: console movement fixes for
Ash (dash and double jump),
Sparrow (double jump),
Revenant (climb and mantle) and
Lifeline (run animation). - Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 (22 September to 13 October): an Apex KO Wildcard takeover with Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma and Dhalsim fighting styles on a remixed Olympus, plus 8 Iconic skins:
Sparrow as Ryu,
Alter as Chun-Li,
Bangalore as Elena,
Mirage as Luke,
Gibraltar as Akuma,
Wattson as Cammy,
Caustic as Blanka and
Pathfinder as Dhalsim. - Live now: the Blood Pact event runs 13 October to 3 November on Kings Canyon. EA's 20 October Ranked Roadmap adds Legend bans to Diamond+ matches from Season 31 in November, which will reshape the high-elo pick rates this list reads.
- Ranked matchmaking results (30 September): the Season 29 tests (1-tier premade limit, Diamond+ solo queue) will stay off. The 2-rank premade rule stays. Bigger Ranked changes are planned for Seasons 31 and 32.
What is live: Season 30 Marked, launched August 4, 2026 (patch notes Aug 3). This is a rework season. Separate from a new-Legend season · the roster is unchanged at 28.
What Marked changed for this table:
Bloodhound reworked. Brand-new Ult, Allfather’s Cloak: throw a dome that cloaks anyone inside it for 8s, cloak persists 12s after leaving, and cloaked players get +20% move speed and threat vision. It breaks on damage, firing or most abilities · but not on Bloodhound’s own abilities, and the level-3 upgrade downgrades shooting from ‘breaks’ to ‘interrupts’. Passive and tactical were rebuilt around it: white ravens now fly 400m (was 190m base), you can trigger them remotely, and the tactical is a 3s full-body scan followed by 4 snapshot scans.- Buffed:
Loba (tactical equip 0.6→0.4s, +15% range, −30% travel time, Ult cooldown 150→120s) and
Rampart (wall health 400/600/800→600/700/800, deploy 0.5s faster, Sheila base move speed 70→104, passive earns locked hop-up progress 50% faster). - Nerfed:
Valkyrie (tactical base damage 25→15, missile dive angle reverted, Ult height −15%, Eye In The Sky through-wall scan 250→100m, Supersonic 50%→40%),
Axle (slide boost 5s→3s, Ult now damages Axle and stuns/displaces allies),
Seer (less turn slow; Home Base moved to level 3). - Mid-season package (official): announced on Steam August 21, aiming for Tuesday August 25 ·
Axle nerfed a 2nd time (Nitro Gate speed 750→700, Ult HP 200→150, base Ult cooldown 90→120s, Ult stun 1.5→0.25s),
Bloodhound’s cloak buffed (less visible inside the dome, ring damage no longer breaks it, +1s tactical scan), and
Seer’s tactical turn-slow · which had shipped increased by mistake at launch and was corrected August 11 · removed entirely. - Weapons: close-range damage came down across the board · R-99 13→12, Alternator 19→18 with mag cuts, RE-45 17→16, Hemlok 22→21 with Breach Charge cooldown 25→30s. G7 Scout returns to floor loot nerfed (37→33, no Double Tap, no sniper optics) and the 30-30 Repeater moves into the care package at 51 damage with Shattercaps.
- Energy ammo rework: energy ammo is gone as a lootable item. Havoc, Nemesis, Devotion, L-STAR, Volt, Triple Take and RE-45 now carry a regenerating stockpile (1 magazine per 18s, paused while firing or reloading). Strong in short fights, weak in long ones.
- Corrupted Attachments: a new high-tier rarity, 1 per weapon, each with a real downside · Overflowing Magazine, Headseeker Barrel, Tactical Laser, Agile Standard Stock, Rapid Sniper Stock.
- World’s Edge reworked: Sorting Factory and the Fragment construction stacks are back, Tree Settlement replaces The Tree, War Camp replaces Survey Camp, Big Maude merged into Landslide.
The pattern to read in October: the 2 data slices still disagree, and the October 1 nerf widened the gap on
Axle. All-ranks last 7 days (October 9) has
Pathfinder at 8.6%,
Octane 7.3%,
Wraith 7.1%,
Loba 6.8%, Axle 6.7%,
Bloodhound 2.4%. Predator top-100 (October 9) is Loba 23.3%, Axle 18.6%, Pathfinder 14.4%, Octane 6%,
Seer 5.5%, Bloodhound 0.2%. The wide Master/Pred board sits between them on Axle (7.5%) and Maggie (6.6%). On August 31 the same top-100 board read Axle 23.3%, Loba 22.8%, Pathfinder 9.9%, Seer 9.5%. We place the S–C table on the Pred cluster and keep the other numbers in the sentence.
Ranked in Marked Split 2: ladders are 5 days. Official windows: 22–27 September, 29 September–4 October, 6–11 October, 13–18 October, 20–25 October, 27 October–1 November. Ladders 1 to 4 are done; Ladder 5 runs 20 to 25 October. Season 30 ends November 3, 2026. The August mid-season balance pass is official. Separate from a rumour: Respawn announced it on Steam on August 21, aiming for Tuesday August 25 · the 2nd
Axle nerf, the
Bloodhound cloak buffs and the full removal of
Seer’s turn-slow listed above. No separate ‘now live’ post followed (the Aug 25 Steam post is an AMD crash advisory), but the Aug 24→31 Pred board drift · Axle −1.9pp, Seer −1.5pp,
Pathfinder +0.6pp · is consistent with it landing on schedule.
Best Apex Legends for Beginners (Season 30)
Verdict: take 1 Legend per role from the A-band that forgives mechanical mistakes. In Bronze/Silver that also covers
Octane and
Bloodhound. Ignore Pred 1-tricks until you can win gunfights.
- Assault:
Bangalore. Smoke teaches you resets, and no patch since Marked has touched her kit, so nothing you learn this month goes stale. She is top 10 in Bronze (5.1%) on the October 9 board. - Skirmisher:
Octane · #1 in Bronze (9.8%) and Silver (9.1%, October 9). The pad and stim are readable; move to
Pathfinder once rotations start deciding your games · he is #1 from Gold through Diamond on the October 9 per-rank boards.
Axle is S at Pred, and the October 1 nerf made her slide harder to hold in tight corners · not a beginner default. - Support:
Loba. She is #1 at Predator (23.3% pick rate, October 9) and #4 at Gold (5.8%).
Conduit is the easier shield kit and moved up to A after her Split 2 refresh. Use Loba to learn the loot game and Conduit to learn positioning. - Recon:
Bloodhound is a reasonable beginner pick in Bronze/Silver (#1 on August 11; 4.8% Bronze on the October 9 board, behind
Octane). The cloak is forgiving and the scan does the map-reading. Do not expect Pred results: 0.2% Pred pick rate (October 9).
Seer is the Recon that keeps paying past Gold (5.5% at Pred). - Controller: skip as a 1st main. If you want a rat kit later,
Catalyst is the community ranked-rat read and the top Controller at Pred this split (1.2%, October 9).

Bloodhound 0.3%). - Rank bands: per-rank pick-rate boards, October 9 (34.7M-player DB, players currently in that rank, any game mode · quoted with that caveat), plus the August 31 boards and the August 11 Master/Pred and Bronze–Master tables (30M+ players, page published Aug 11). Used for #1-by-band and for the range when they disagree (Bronze #1:
Octane on October 9 vs
Bloodhound on the August 11 Bronze board;
Axle 18.6% Pred top-100 vs 7.5% wide Master/Pred). - All-ranks novelty: insights, last 7 days, October 9. Quoted only where it diverges from Pred by more than a band.
- Patch truth: official EA Marked notes (August 3, 2026), the official mid-season balance package Respawn announced on Steam on August 21 (2nd
Axle nerf,
Bloodhound cloak buffs,
Seer turn-slow removed entirely), the 14 September Split 2 notes, and the October 1, 2, 6 and 8 updates on Steam (3rd Axle nerf wave,
Alter fix, Fast Draw cuts, the US-West cross-play test, console movement fixes). - Off this page: Season 29 editorials stay off this page. A rework does not rank on all-ranks hype. A percentage without a published board stays off the page.
The honest caveat for this edition: Pred top-100 and Master/Pred-all are different populations. When they disagree the sentence keeps the range. Win rates on the Predator board are quoted because the samples are 6 figures on the S row (
Loba 160,906 games;
Axle 128,282;
Pathfinder 99,817) · they were not quotable on August 7.
Official notes and the live board
Predator top-100 pick rates sit on the live board and refresh at midnight GMT. The written percentages on this page are the October 9 read. The Split 2 Pred average (822 tracked Predators, 15 September to 7 October) is the cross-check, and the September 20 and August 31 boards are the history:
Axle 25.9% and 23.3%,
Loba 22.5% and 22.8%. Per-rank boards cover 34.7 million players currently in that rank, any game mode. All-ranks last 7 days, October 9, is pubs and novelty.
Kit numbers come from the official Marked notes (August 3), the mid-season balance announcement on Steam (August 21, aimed live August 25), the Marked Midseason Patch Notes (14 September), the October 1 update, the October 6 update and the October 8 update. FAQ
It depends on your rank band. At Predator, Loba is #1 in October 2026: 23.3% Pred pick rate (October 9, Predator top-100, 52.6% WR) and 19.6% on the Split 2 Pred average. Axle is #2 at 18.6%, down from 25.9% on September 20 after the October 1 nerf. Pathfinder is #3 at 14.4% and #1 at Gold, Platinum and Diamond on the October 9 per-rank boards. In Bronze and Silver, Octane is #1 (9.8% / 9.1%). Bloodhound led Bronze and Silver on August 11 and is 0.2% at Pred now. Seer dropped from S to A (5.5% Pred).
Yes at Predator. Axle is #2 on the October 9 top-100 board at 18.6% (49.3% WR on 128,282 games) and #2 on the Split 2 Pred average at 15.7%. She was 25.9% on September 20 and is 18.6% now: about 7 points lower after the October 1 nerf, and Loba holds #1. The update cut her passive slide control by 50%, cut Nitro Gate slide control by 25% for its users, switched off aim assist inside the Gate, lowered the Gate push from 700 to 650 and shortened the Kickstart chase from 10s to 8s.
Below Predator she fell harder: 7.5% on the wide Master/Pred board, 6.8% in Platinum and 3.5% in Bronze. If her slide does not fit your hands, Pathfinder (14.4% Pred, #1 from Gold through Diamond) is the steadier S-tier.
Yes · this edition is October 9, 2026, in Season 30 Marked Split 2. Split 2 started 15 September 2026 with the official midseason notes of 14 September. The October 1 update (3rd Axle nerf wave, Alter fix) is in, and so are the October 2, October 6 and October 8 updates. Season 30 launched August 4, 2026 and ends November 3. Kit changes also come from the official August 3 Marked notes and the mid-season package Respawn announced on Steam August 21. Pick rates are the October 9 Predator top-100 and per-rank boards, set next to the Split 2 Pred average and the August 31 snapshot.
In low elo, still workable · but the rework novelty has faded. The August 11 Master/Pred and rank-band numbers had them #1 in Bronze and Silver; the October 9 per-rank boards show Octane #1 in Bronze with Bloodhound 7th at 4.8%, and all-ranks pick has dropped from 9.3% (Aug 8) to 2.8% (Aug 31) and 2.4% (October 9). The kit is stronger than before: Allfather’s Cloak drops a dome that cloaks your squad for 8 seconds, keeps them cloaked 12 seconds after they leave, and grants +20% move speed and threat vision · and the official Aug 21 package buffed it again (less visible inside the dome, ring damage no longer breaks it, +1s tactical scan).
At Predator they are not a climb pick: 0.2% Pred pick rate (October 9) / 0.4% (August 31) / 0.5% Master/Pred (August 11). Keep them for low-elo pubs and IGL scans. Do not treat the cloak as a Diamond ticket.
Marked cut her tactical base damage from 25 to 15, reverted the Season 27 missile dive, took 15% off her Ult height, cut Eye In The Sky through-wall scan from 250m to 100m and reduced Supersonic from 50% to 40%.
The Aug 7 page still had her at 6.5% Master/Pred. Pred top-100 settled at 1.2–1.3% in late August and reads 0.9% on October 9. That keeps her in B, and her 55.9% Pred win rate on 6,057 games ties Crypto for the best on the board.
They were real buffs · wall health 400/600/800→600/700/800, walls deploy 0.5s faster, Sheila base move speed 70→104, passive earns locked hop-up progress 50% faster.
At Predator it changed nothing: 0.1% Pred pick rate (October 9) / 0.3% (August 31) / 0.6% Master/Pred (August 11). She moved from B to C this month.
Close-range damage came down across the board: R-99 13→12, Alternator 19→18 with magazine cuts, RE-45 17→16, and the Hemlok to 21 with its Breach Charge cooldown pushed to 30s. The G7 Scout returns to floor loot nerfed (33 damage, no Double Tap, no sniper optics) and the 30-30 Repeater moves into the care package at 51 damage.
2 structural changes matter more: energy ammo no longer drops at all · energy weapons carry a stockpile that regenerates 1 magazine every 18 seconds · and Corrupted Attachments add a new rarity where every attachment has a real downside, 1 per weapon.
After every balance patch and at each season start, and whenever the Pred board moves a name across a tier. This edition is October 9 · week 4 of Split 2, with the October 1 Axle nerf already reflected; the event and Ladder dates were refreshed on 21 October. Season 31 starts November 3. Check the updated date at the top; every percentage on the page names its month.
- Dates refreshed on 21 October: Ladder 5 runs 20 to 25 October (Ladders 1 to 4 done), the Blood Pact event is live to 3 November, and EA's 20 October Ranked Roadmap brings Legend bans to Diamond+ matches from Season 31. Tiers and pick rates unchanged.
- What changed: October 2026 edition for Season 30 Split 2. The October 1 update nerfed Axle again (slide control cut 50%, Nitro Gate push 700 to 650, Kickstart chase 10s to 8s) and fixed Alter. Loba took #1 at Predator (23.3%), Axle fell to #2 (18.6% from 25.9% on September 20), Pathfinder held #3 (14.4%). Tier moves: Seer S to A; Conduit B to A; Catalyst and Mirage C to B; Fuse and Rampart B to C. Crypto (C to B) and Wattson (B to C) now follow the stated pick-rate cutoffs (S 10%+, A 1.5%+, B 0.5%+); their own pick rates are flat. Rank-band leaders moved to the October 9 boards. Added the October 2, 6 and 8 updates, the Street Fighter 6 event, the Blood Pact start date, the 30 September matchmaking results and a new FAQ on Axle. Season 30 ends November 3.
- Copy pass: named sites became the pick rate, rank band and month. URLs live in sources and flags. Canvas and sidecar left untouched. Article numbers stay the August 31 snapshot.
