How riding works in Forever (BC-style, no flying)
Blizzard’s Deep Dive article and What’s Next recap: Forever uses a Burning Crusade-style mount model. The up-front gold you used to spend on a vendor mount moves into training. A mount is granted when you learn riding. Official What’s Next also states no flying mounts and no level scaling. Those two lines sit next to each other in the same recap. Do not expect a flying skill, a flying pack mount, or a level-scaled world that makes riding optional.

Shop copy and the pre-purchase article add the pack-mount rule: riding skill is still bought in-game. A Cerulean Prideclaw or a Veteran Adventurer’s Loyal Companion in your collection does not skip the trainer. You cannot ride it on 4 November at level 1. You buy the skill on the character, then you use the mount you already own — or the mount the trainer grants.
Launch is 4 November 2026 at 15:00 PST globally. One earlier article lede also says PDT; shop and later copy say PST. 4 November 2026 is after US daylight-saving ends, so PST is the legal clock. Forever is included in a WoW Subscription / Game Time. Packs are optional. Dates: release date. Hub: /wow-forever. Weekend recap: BlizzCon 2026. Versus Classic riding memory: Forever vs Classic.
What this page will not do: print Classic 2019 stickers (90 gold / 1,000 gold) as Forever costs. The official model moved that gold into training. The new sticker is not published. A shop that still quotes those numbers is quoting a different game.
Forever gold →Live checkout: 100 gold from $19, 1,000 gold $150. We'll add the 40 / 60 riding sticker as soon as Blizzard publishes it.
Gold at 40 and 60: unpublished
Blizzard has not published the gold cost at 40 or at 60, or whether those remain the unlock levels. Deep Dive, What’s Next, Found Photos, the pre-purchase article, and the Battle.net shop do not print a training price or confirm the Classic level gates. Do not treat “40 for a regular mount, 60 for epic” as a Forever fact until an article or the trainer tooltip says so.
What you can still plan:
- You will spend gold on the trainer, not on a separate vendor mount for the granted mount.
- Pack mounts still need that same skill purchase.
Class epic chargers (Forsaken Paladin Retribution quest; Alliance Paladin Redemption) are a level-60 quest in official Found Photos. That is a quest gate, not a gold sticker.- Bank, Auction House, and gold sinks beyond riding and camping: also unpublished. Camping is a Cooking Fire → Basic Campfire system, not a tenth profession (Deep Dive vs Wowhead’s coverage — trust Blizzard’s article).
If you are budgeting a launch week, the honest line is: save gold for the trainer and for food/repairs; do not lock a spreadsheet to a number Blizzard has not printed. LFCarry gold checkout: from $19 per 100g; 1,000 gold $150. Offer: /wow-forever/gold. We will not quote a Blizzard riding fee next to those dollars.
Beta is Epic / Collection only and ends 21 October 2026 PST in official shop copy. Heroic does not include beta. A beta character that learns riding is not a promise that the live trainer will charge the same gold. See beta.
Pack mounts: Prideclaw and Loyal Companion
Battle.net shop and the pre-purchase article. Collection sale window runs through 11 January 2027. Heroic does not include beta. Do not copy Wowhead’s Skyborne article on that point.
| Mount | Which pack | What official copy adds | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cerulean Prideclaw | Heroic $29.99, and every higher pack | Ground mount. Riding skill still bought in-game. | |
| Veteran Adventurer’s Loyal Companion | Epic $59.99 and Collection $79.99 | Ground mount. Same riding-skill rule. Epic also adds beta and 30 days of Game Time from 4 November. |
Heroic also lists Shen’dorei Skyseer’s Garb, Veteran Adventurer’s Rucksack, Shen’dorei Windwell toy, Skyborne Housing décor for modern WoW (Housing needs Midnight, sold separately), Early Name Reservation, and 1 Invite-A-Friend Launch Code. Those are not mounts. Epic adds Outdoor Wear, Forever-only pets (Zergling, Panda, Diablo, Pachimari), Lordaeron and Shen’dorei tabards, and two extra invites. Collection adds Warcraft III: Reforged and Forsaken Kingdom.
LFCarry does not sell those packs and does not sell a
Skyborne unlock. If you already own Heroic or higher, the Prideclaw still waits on the trainer. Skyborne race + Zephras 1–12 sit behind the same Heroic paywall. Race page: Skyborne. Class list: Forever classes.
Physical Collector’s Edition contents are listed in an official write-up. Blizzard has not published its USD price. It is not a riding shortcut.
Paladin chargers: Retribution and Redemption

Found Photos: Forsaken Paladins receive a level-60 epic mount quest in the name of Retribution. The Alliance charger quest is named Redemption. Blizzard has not published a mount item name, a gold sticker, or a model name. Human and Dwarf Paladins are not listed as removed; they take Redemption. Skyborne is not listed as Paladin.

Official Found Photos media (same article): a skeletal horse in skull-and-gold barding and a skull-helmed ram variant. Those are Blizzard images, not a datamined item table. Quissy posted the stage-screen charger as “Undead Paladin mount” (x.com/QuissyTV). Reddit the same day: Forsaken Paladins are getting their own mount in WoW: Forever and a first-look thread. A snippet hoped the class quests have lore. That is a wish, not a quest walkthrough.
Forsaken Paladin is one of six free launch combos (official Deep Dive). Horde. No pack. Story from Warcraft III: Reforged — Forsaken Kingdom (Bandarion Keep, Whispering Wood, Tirisfal). Combo page: Undead Paladin. Alliance free counterpart:
Dwarf Shaman — no unique Ghost Wolf is published.
The charger is not the BC-style granted mount. It is a class quest at 60. You still need riding skill. Whether the quest also charges gold on top of training: not published. Do not expect the charger at 40. Do not treat the horse and ram as two shop SKUs we sell.
Forever leveling →1–60 for $259, from 4 November 2026. Self-play or piloted; shorter brackets cost less on the slider.
Warlock steed and everything else unpublished
Warlock. Classic-era Warlocks earned a class steed. Forever has not published a Forever-specific change to that quest, model, or gold. Troll Warlock is one of the six free launch combos. That names the combo, not a new steed. This page does not copy Classic Dreadsteed / Felsteed gold or a walkthrough onto Forever. Forever-specific Warlock mount changes are not yet published.
Other class mounts. No official article this weekend named a new
Hunter,
Druid, or
Shaman ground mount. Community threads asked whether Dwarf Shaman gets a unique Ghost Wolf. That model is unpublished. Do not expect a shop SKU for it.
Vendor / reputation / drop mounts. No Forever mount vendor table, no faction-reputation mount list, and no drop table were in the official dump. Transmog is opt-in; Classic Mode auto-off; plate-to-plate; no high-level appearances until 60 except cosmetics. That is appearance policy, not a mount shop.
Catch-up. On-stage, catch-up is “play the game.” No Blizzard instant-60 / level-boost SKU. We will not sell a fake riding skip that pretends the trainer is gone.
Rulesets (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying;
Hardcore after launch) do not publish a different riding table. Hardcore is not a 4 November product. See Hardcore and realmless / rulesets.
Walk on Air is a reported racial, and it is not a mount
Wowhead’s racial recap, from the BlizzCon demo, not yet in Blizzard’s written articles: Skyborne split racials. Alliance High Order and Horde Windshaper both list Walk on Air (reported: glide 10 seconds), plus other named racials. Official Deep Dive promised two active and two passive racials for every race and then printed Dwarf and Undead examples. Specific Skyborne racials are not yet published.
Treat Walk on Air as reported from the BlizzCon demo. It is a racial, not a flying mount. It does not replace riding. It does not make the Prideclaw fly. Forever still has no flying. Game-wide racials: Forever racials.
If you bought Heroic for a glide, you bought a pack whose official article has not printed that button. Wait for a race article. We will not sell the race.
How LFCarry helps (checkout prices, 13 September 2026)
We price gold and a 1–60. We do not sell a mount product and we do not guess the trainer fee.
Gold from $19 per 100g (1,000 gold $150). Use this for trainer gold once Blizzard prints the number, or for the rest of a broke launch week.- 1–60 from $259. Delivery from 4 November 2026. Self-play or piloted; shorter brackets cost less on the slider. A 1–40 or 1–60 is how you reach the trainer; it is not a mount product. Dedicated combo sliders (same $259):
Undead Paladin 1–60 $259,
Dwarf Shaman 1–60 $259. Full route: leveling guide. - Custom order from $10 — the Retribution / Redemption charger is a level-60 class quest. If you want a Pro on that quest rather than a full 1–60, ask here. We will not quote an unpublished gold fee as part of the job.
Same-day checkout also on the shelf:
- Dungeons from $9 per run (leveling; endgame $29).
- Raids from $149 from 9 December:
Barrow Deeps $149,
Hyjal Summit $249. Onyxia’s Lair (40) is on the on-stage BlizzCon roadmap. - Coaching $29/hour.
- Professions 1–300 $89.
Hardcore 1–60 when that ruleset opens: $349 on /wow-forever/hardcore — not a 4 November product.
