Helldivers 2 Medal Farm: Medals per Difficulty, Orders and the 250 Cap

Patch 7.2.2 went live on 29 October 2026. Scope of Authority, the newest Premium Warbond, went live on 20 October 2026 with patch 7.2.0. Patches 7.2.0, 7.2.1 and 7.2.2 left medal rewards as they were.

The fastest medal farm is a full operation on the highest difficulty your squad clears, plus the Personal Order and every medal case on the way. Medals per mission rise with difficulty and with each mission of the operation, so the last mission pays the most.

Trivial and Easy operations have 1 mission, Medium and Challenging have 2, and every level from Hard up has 3. The table lists the medals for each mission and for the full operation.

Hard is the lowest level with 3 missions, and it pays 3 times the medals of Medium for 1 more mission. A Helldive operation pays 33, only 3 fewer than Super Helldive, so play the level your squad finishes every time.

You can hold up to 250 medals. Medals you earn over 250 are lost, so farming at the cap earns nothing.

Spend medals on a Warbond page before you start a long farm. At 36 medals per Super Helldive operation, about 7 full operations take you from 0 to the cap.

A Personal Order pays 15 medals when you finish it, on any difficulty. That is nearly as much as a full Hard operation.

Major Orders are war goals for the whole community. When a Major Order succeeds, it pays its medal reward.

Medal cases sit at points of interest on the map. Each case holds 1 to 3 medals, so a sweep of the map adds medals on top of the mission pay.

Medals buy the items on Warbond pages. Buying items on a page unlocks the next page of that Warbond, so plan your pages before you spend.
