Tempest: the third Multiplayer mastery camo in Black Ops 7
Tempest is the third of the four Multiplayer Mastery Camos in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Activision describes it as animated — a writhing electrical storm. It sits above Arclight and below Singularity, and it cannot be earned out of order — the tier underneath has to be finished first, on more than just the gun you care about.
What Activision actually requires
Before any Mastery Camo is reachable, a weapon has to finish twelve ordinary camos in this mode: nine Military Camos and three Special Camos. In Multiplayer the Military nine are counted in Headshots, running from 5 for Underbrush up to 80 for Ruby Snake. Only then does the Mastery ladder open, and it runs like this.
| Tier | What has to be true first | Then the challenge on that weapon |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Shattered Gold | All nine Military and all three Special Camos on that weapon, in Multiplayer | Get 3 Kills without dying, 10 times |
| 2. Arclight | Shattered Gold on that weapon and on every other weapon of its class | Get 10 Double Kills or better |
| 3. Tempest (this page) | Arclight on 30 weapons | Get 5 Kills without dying, 3 times |
| 4. Singularity | Tempest on 30 weapons | None — it unlocks automatically |
Read the prerequisite column again, because it is the whole cost of this page: Arclight on 30 weapons. Not on your favourite gun — on thirty of them. Each of those thirty first needs its own nine Military and three Special Camos, then Shattered Gold, then Arclight across its whole class. By Activision's own numbers that is 30 × 12 = 360 ordinary camo unlocks plus two mastery tiers on each of the thirty, and only after all of it does the Tempest challenge — get 5 kills without dying, 3 times — appear.
Multiplayer only. Black Ops 7 has 16 Mastery Camos, four for each mode, and the four tracks are completely separate. Multiplayer ends at Singularity; the other three end at Genesis (Campaign), Infestation (Zombies) and Apocalypse (Warzone). Camo work you have done in another mode counts for nothing here, and this order will not advance the others. You need Multiplayer access for it.
Permanent, so there is nothing to race. Tempest has no seasonal window. Activision's Prestige rules keep “all your Weapon Progression, Operators, Challenge progress, Mastery Badges, Weapon Builds, and customization” when you Prestige, so once it is on the account it stays there. Anyone selling you a deadline on this camo is selling urgency, not a camo.
Where this sits, and the cheaper rungs below it
Black Ops 7 has no camo called Gold, Diamond or Dark Matter — those belong to earlier Call of Duty titles. If you arrived looking for one of them, the Multiplayer tier you probably want is Shattered Gold, the first rung, sold on its own page for a fraction of this one. Every rung is a separate service:
| Tier | Where we sell it |
|---|---|
| 1. Shattered Gold | Shattered Gold Camo Boost |
| 2. Arclight | Arclight Camo Boost |
| 3. Tempest (this page) | — |
| 4. Singularity | Singularity Camo Boost |
What buyers have actually paid
These are real confirmed orders from our own books, not indicative pricing. Tempest orders vary enormously with how many weapons are in scope, which is why the range is wide:
| Paid | When | Scope | Turnaround |
|---|---|---|---|
| $90.99 | 6 February 2026 | Tempest on four named weapons | 15 hours |
What you are actually buying
The configurator opens on Seasonal Weapons and the choice you make there sets the price, so it is the only control that really matters:
- Seasonal Weapons. Individual guns, priced per weapon. This is where the $5 headline comes from — it is one weapon, not the roster.
- Tempest Challenges. Just the Tempest challenge itself, per weapon, for accounts that already hold everything underneath it.
- All Base Weapons — $320. The whole base roster, which is the population the 30-weapon gates are measured against. This is the option to pick if you are climbing toward Singularity.
- Progress you already have. The selector takes $24 off if you already hold Shattered Gold on 30 weapons and $84 off if you already hold Arclight on 30 weapons. If your progress does not match one of those exactly, say so in chat — we price part-finished ladders routinely and will not charge you for work already done.
- Include 7 Season 1 Weapons — $55. Weapons added after launch are outside “All Base Weapons” and start their own ladder from the Military camos, so they are priced separately.
- Keep increasing account Prestige — $43.50. We push account Prestige alongside the camo work instead of parking it.
- Speed. Express and Super Express add 20% and 40% to the total.
How long it takes, and what we do not promise
The one Tempest order in our records with a clean timestamp ran 15 hours end to end, but that is a handful of orders and the scope differed on each, so treat it as a shape rather than a promise. A single weapon is a short job; the full roster is a multi-week one.
Three things worth saying plainly. The run is piloted — a pro signs into your account and plays it by hand on a VPN matched to your region, with no bots, macros or exploits, because these challenges cannot be automated. We are not going to pretend that handing anyone access to your account carries no risk at all; decide with that in mind. And Tempest is unlocked per weapon and can only be used on the weapon that earned it, so you will have it on the guns this order covers and not automatically on one released in a later season.
