Overwatch 2 Tier List: Season 4.5, 3 role boards

This is LFCarry’s Season 4.5 board for Overwatch 2. Reign of Talon: Heroes of Busan opened on 11 August 2026 and runs to 5 October 2026.

The 3 boards above are Role Queue 5v5. Tank S is D.Mon. Damage S is Sojourn, Freja and Tracer. Support S is Jetpack Cat, Wuyang and Kiriko.

D.Mon is the 15th tank. The 17 September hotfix cut armor from 325 to 275 in 5v5, Focused Fusion from 45 to 36, and Fusion Repeater from 16 to 15. The letter stays S.

Emerald is a permanent rank between Platinum and Diamond. Blizzard filled it from the old Platinum and Diamond bands on 11 August.

Open Queue and Quick Play Hacked still run 6v6 experiments. Those values sit off this Role Queue board.

Letters rest on the Season 4.5 expert board read on 13 September 2026, checked against the official 11 August launch and the 8, 10 and 17 September hotfixes. Where a hero has a wide skill spread, the letter names the expert call and the climb note sits in prose.

53 official portraits sit on the chips. 15 tanks, 24 damage, 14 supports. D.Mon is ranked. The 12 August page left him ungraded on day 1 of Season 4. The 13 September board plus the 17 September hotfix close that gap.

Tank. Start with D.Mon if you want the Season 4 kit. Winston, Hazard, Orisa, Doomfist and Sigma share A.

D.Va is C on this board and still the widest skill spread on the roster. Defence Matrix wins coordinated fights and loses ladder games when held down. Mech health rose from 175 to 200 on 8 September.

Reinhardt and Junker Queen sit C on the expert board. Both still climb below Diamond when the lobby walks into a hammer or a shout.

Damage. Sojourn is the aim check. Freja and Tracer share that S row. Play them when your clicks already land.

A Damage is Echo, Cassidy, Shion, Pharah, Vendetta, Ashe, Genji and Reaper. Built aim keeps them.

Torbjörn and Symmetra sit B. They punish players who walk into a turret. That is the climb tool below Diamond.

C Damage is Sierra, Anran and Sombra.

Support. Jetpack Cat, Wuyang and Kiriko share S. Suzu still wins the fight when the timing is real.

A Support is Ana, Zenyatta, Brigitte and Lúcio. Moira is B and the safest way to stop dying. She survives more fights than she wins.

C Support is Lifeweaver and Mercy. Mercy returned to Stadium on 17 September. Role Queue letter stays C.

A letter is 1 answer. A few heroes answer 2 questions at once. The expert board and the climb board pull them apart.

D.Va is C on the expert board. Defence Matrix is the highest-value ability when you track cooldowns. Held down at random it is empty. No hero on this page has a wider spread.

Sojourn is S and still an aim check. If Widowmaker feels uncomfortable, so does she. Play her after the clicks already land.

Zarya is B. Her value is enabling somebody else. In solo queue there is often nobody to enable. Duo her or leave her.

Kiriko is S at a huge pick rate. Suzu wins fights when timed. Most of those picks miss the window. The letter is the timed kit.

Tracer is S. The projectile size buff made her strong at the top and no easier below it. Climb with Ashe or Reaper 1st.

Junker Queen is C on the expert board and still a climb tank. She wins ladder games. Coordinated Suzu answers her later.

Torbjörn and Symmetra sit B. They beat players. That is what you face while climbing.

Ana is A and a higher ceiling than Moira. Sleep and nade ask for the same hands that already climbed.

Below Diamond, the heroes that climb have individual impact. They do not wait for a coordinated follow-up.

Tank. Reinhardt, Sigma and Domina. High individual impact and a readable kit. Leave D.Va and Zarya until you have a duo who follows up.

Damage. Torbjörn, Ashe, Junkrat, Soldier: 76, Reaper and Emre. Each punishes a positioning mistake.

Support. Moira, Brigitte, Mizuki and Lúcio. Moira is the safest way to stop dying.

Postpone Sojourn, Widowmaker and Ana until the lobby already aims. They are the reward for having climbed.

D.Mon can climb if the kit already feels clean. The 17 September nerf left the letter at S. The floor is still high.

10 tiers in Competitive Role Queue since 11 August: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, Champion, then the regional Top 500 board.

Emerald is new in Season 4 and permanent. Blizzard redistributed the ladder to fill it. Most of that fill came from Platinum and Diamond. Champion divisions got harder to reach. If your rank name changed this season, Emerald filled the middle.

Inside every tier, Division 5 is the lowest and Division 1 is the highest. Gold 5 is where you arrive. Gold 1 is where you leave. A few public guides reverse that order. The client is the source.

Tank, Damage and Support ranks are tracked separately in Role Queue. Open Queue carries its own single rank.

Win 50 Quick Play games to unlock Competitive. Then play 10 placement matches per role. A predicted rank shows along the way. The real rank locks after match 10.

Progress is per match, with modifiers for win streaks, uphill battles, consolation and loss streaks, plus demotion protection the 1st time you would fall out of a tier.

Sit out a full season and your rank hides until you play 5 games. Rank decay left the game in April 2023. A season-start reset can still drop the visible division while matchmaking rating is kept. Season 4’s Emerald fill moved more names than a normal rollover.

Season 4 added an in-client Rank Distribution Indicator on Competitive Overview. That is the live share of the ladder. Older 2025 distribution posts are stale after Emerald.

Unlock Competitive is $99 on a finished clock. Placement matches start at $4. Skill-rating selfplay starts at $1. Those 3 cards sit above this section.

Stadium is still live. It still gets seasonal balance, rank resets and rewards. Content expansion stopped. No new Stadium heroes or maps this season.

Its ladder is separate: Rookie, Novice, Contender, Elite, Pro, All-Star, Legend. Each has divisions counting down from 5 to 1, tracked per role. A standard-mode rank is not a Stadium gate.

Stadium uses a curated hero pool. Several newer Role Queue heroes are absent. The 11 August pass trimmed Jetpack Cat Purr builds and pushed Zarya Blastproof Boots from 3,750 to 9,000.

Mercy returned to Stadium on 17 September. Role Queue Mercy stays C.

The Stadium theme is early cash, burst damage, and utility that cuts through inflated health pools. Treat a Season 3 Stadium list as closed.

This page ranks Role Queue. Ask in chat if the queue you want is Stadium. Name the role and the cash plan.

Pick the role 1st and the hero 2nd. A B-tier main you finish beats an S-tier main you never play.

If your only tank is D.Va, keep her and add a readable climb tank. Matrix is the reward for already reading the lobby.

If your only damage is Sojourn, keep her for the games your aim is live. Add Ashe for the games it is not.

If your only support is Kiriko, keep her. Time Suzu. Add Moira when you need to stop dying 1st.

D.Mon is Tank S. MEKA kit. Armor 275 in 5v5 after 17 September. Focused Fusion 36. Fusion Repeater 15. Propulsors drain 30. The letter held.

Winston is Tank A. Dive tank. Plays with a Damage S who already takes the backline.

Hazard is Tank A. Space creator. Same row as Orisa, Doomfist and Sigma.

Roadhog is Tank B. Hook still deletes a isolated Damage. Mauga, Zarya, Domina, Ramattra and Wrecking Ball share that B row.

D.Va is Tank C. Mech health 200 since 8 September. Matrix is the highest-value cooldown when tracked. Held down it is empty. Climb her only with a duo.

Reinhardt is Tank C on the expert board and a climb pick below Diamond. Hammer and shatter punish a lobby that walks forward. Junker Queen is the same shape: C letter, climb shout.

Sojourn is Damage S. Rail and slide. Pure aim check. Freja is Damage S. Tracer is Damage S. Projectile size buff keeps Tracer strong at the top and no easier in Gold.

Echo is Damage A. Cassidy is Damage A. Shion is Damage A. Pharah is Damage A. Vendetta is Damage A. Ashe is Damage A. Genji is Damage A. Reaper is Damage A.

Widowmaker is Damage B. Same aim tax as Sojourn with less close-range exit. Soldier: 76 is Damage B and a readable climb hitscan. Mei is Damage B. Torbjörn is Damage B and a climb turret. Bastion is Damage B. Symmetra is Damage B and a climb teleporter. Junkrat is Damage B. Hanzo is Damage B. Emre is Damage B. Venture is Damage B.

Sierra is Damage C. Anran is Damage C. Sombra is Damage C. Hack still works. The letter is the expert call.

Jetpack Cat is Support S. Wuyang is Support S. Kiriko is Support S. Suzu is the fight when the window is real.

Ana is Support A. Sleep and nade. Higher ceiling than Moira. Zenyatta is Support A. Brigitte is Support A. Lúcio is Support A. Speed is the climb tool on that row.

Juno is Support B. Mizuki is Support B. Moira is Support B and the safest way to stop dying. Baptiste is Support B. Illari is Support B.

Lifeweaver is Support C. Mercy is Support C. Mercy returned to Stadium on 17 September. Role Queue letter stays C.

D.Mon can sit in either plan when the kit already feels clean. The 17 September numbers lowered the floor. They did not move the letter.

Rank decay left in April 2023. Hide-a-rank after a skipped season still asks for 5 games. Demotion protection covers the 1st fall out of a tier. The in-client Rank Distribution Indicator is the live share after Emerald.

Common miss 1: treating Gold 1 as the bottom of Gold. It is the top. You arrive at Gold 5. You leave at Gold 1. Plan the climb that way.

Common miss 2: treating Emerald as an event rank. It is permanent. The 11 August fill moved Platinum and Diamond names into it. Champion got harder on the same day.

Common miss 3: copying a Season 3 win-rate table into Season 4.5. Torbjörn and Symmetra topped that closed board. They sit B now. The climb note remains. The letter moved.

Common miss 4: playing D.Va as a default tank because Matrix looks free. It is free only when you eat the right cooldown. Otherwise take Reinhardt or Sigma.

Common miss 5: forcing Sojourn in Gold because she is S. S is the expert call. Gold wants Ashe, Reaper, Torbjörn or Soldier: 76.

Common miss 6: picking Kiriko for the pick rate. Time Suzu or play Moira until you can.

Common miss 7: waiting for a 6v6 ranked board. Role Queue is 5v5. This page will not grow a 6v6 ranking until that queue is the default.

Common miss 8: reading Stadium letters as Role Queue letters. Jetpack Cat can look different in Stadium cash. Mercy can look live in Stadium and still sit C in Role Queue.
